Miki dashed through the gates and stopped in his tracks. The sight was horrific to say the least. Before him lie a charred body still sizzling with the falling rain. In his normal state of mind he would have taken this as a sign that the body was fresh, probably began a systematic sweep of the area to find clues about what had happened but in his panic the thought process moved much faster. He knew the man he had ran past to get out was responsible, with the smile he wore on his face it seemed he was even proud of his work. The genin took a few tentative steps forward to examine the corpse and he found the eyes. Tears leaked from his own, hidden amidst the rain but evidence of his sadness found another way to outwardly manifest as he begin to sob heavily. These were the eyes of Lord Amekage, Zatoshi-sama. The fear and sadness drained him of his natural energy so where did he find the strength to continue his escape? There was a third emotion, one that was swelling rapidly and without anything to stop it it threatened to consume him. Rage. Hatred for the Akatsuki organization for shattering his life in a matter of hours. Hatred for the man that was in the training grounds and for the the man who took the Kyuubi host. Wait, the man in the training grounds! He had spoke of eliminating Konoha or something to that effect. Leaf wasn't safe, he couldn't go there. To make matters worse if Kumo was going to invade he could not run there either, for the Amegakure symbol engraved in the very metal of his forehead would make him a helpless target. These feeling fueled his rage, little by little he could feel his former self slipping away. He knew he should fight back but this was too much for someone with so little training. Miki began to weep again at the memory of his admitted aspirations back in the Academy.
"You just watch, one day I'll be Amekage." The then twelve year old boy said with a bright grin and with his thumb pointed at his chest. "I'll be a great genin and sweep throught he Chuunin exams and be so impressive that they make me Jounin right off the back!"
The dream was shattered now, his perfect fantasy world now a near impossibilty. What could he do? He had no family, no friends. . .no hope.

Beneath the gates, a slight stirring could be felt. Just past the bone forest that Kleine had made, at the very entrance to the village, a powerful explosion would rock the ground. Debris would be spat up, a giant crater forming. Globs of flaming incendiary material would be spat everywhere, sticking to surfaces and burning hotly. To anything not structurally sound, or even people, the damage would be great provided they couldn't stop it. The source: a suitcase full of bricks of C3 clay buried in the ground, surrounded by flammable material. It happened out of sight. Nobody would ever know the explosion's source. Due to its nature, it would be highly distracting. The ground would tremor. The inhabitants of Rain would feel something like a destructive earthquake.
And just like that, when the initial destruction was done...no remnants or clues of its source or purpose were left.
