Umm, they were part of China, but then were independant after being took by England~Because China lost to them in war or something~But Hong Kong rather lived with England than China earlier days, because Hong Kong was scared of China and their 'slave' workers~~But in 1997 Hong Kong is now confident that there's no more slave workers in China and these two countries became one, ever since 1997, Hong Kong is part of China again and is still part of China now, 10 years now, that's why you've been seeing all these programs on TV about Hong Kong being part of China 10th Anniversary. neutral 3nodding
