Ayanami Rei First Child Actually I think they could be the same. The backpack IS a plushie, and is VERY cuddleable. I would know since I actually own it >=) true, my nephew absolutely loves it, but that's why I put it higher up, until he learns to wash his hands more so it doesn't get sticky...

Yeah I know I would totally do that myself, if I had little Chibis coming over to my house. No stickyness on my Ryo-Oh-Ki plushie! Also I happen to enjoy cuddling up and sleeping with mine at night, since I don't have a certain Khrstale Bee to snuggle up with at night gonk

Ayanami Rei First Child Tsuki No Tragedy Welps, I was going to cosplay A-Kon this year, but I can not attend. I have other duties to fulfill. That said, I don't know when I will update my costume (gosh, it is so wrinkled in those photos XD ) and hit up a convention. No se. Oh wellios. I do like seeing other people's costumes though. biggrin Well you could also make a new costume! Maybe you could go as Sasami or Ryoko or somebody else. Or maybe you could be Naruto! Girls tend to LOVE Crossplaying as Naruto. Sasami or Ryoko? No thanks. I am more of an Aeka person. <3333 I have thought about doing a Seto cosplay though. XD

Maybe if we put this in the same spot as the "What do you look like?" thread it will get more notice? on the main page it gets shoved to the back in the off season...with most cons wrapping up it will be months before anyone has reason to post costume pics. By the time this thread is relevant again it ends up on page 2 and is overlooked. I didn't even think to look and posted my costume of Elk from .hack on the pic page instead. I thought about reposting my costume here but it is in 2 places already so it seemed like a waste of time. It was posted right after Halloween on the anime video game and "What do you look like?" sections if you are curious.

So I can grow a beard and have long hair now that I am free of my military commitment...and so I was thinking of growing a beard for the winter as it gets crazy cold here. But what character wears a beard...none other than http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisuke_Jigen of Lupin III. I think it would be cool...currently trying to convince friends to dress as Goemon and Lupin so it would be more recognizable, maybe even a Zenigata if I can find a friend willing to wear a false chin razz

I have a buddy who in all honesty is a way better cosplayer than I am...but he's got a few years of experience on me so I don't feel too bad about it. He typically goes to Fanime, and he said he would consider doing Goemon...I have another friend who hasn't gone to Fanime before and is new to cosplay (like me) and he might be willing to go as Lupin...it all comes down to our schedules. Me and the Goemon cosplayer are/will be college students so it would have to correspond with jobs and classes...our Lupin is still in the military, I can tell you from personal experience that it's not easy to get time off at this base. But if it works out you guys will definitely hear about it...and I am sure photos will happen if we go thru the trouble of dressing up and attending smile
...here's to hoping it works out.

Actually this is about MEMBER COSPLAY/CROSSPLAY. Meaning YOU have to be in the picture IN COSTUME, in order to post up pics ^^; Although we should have a seperate thread to post other pics...

Cosplay Hair Tip of the Day: Beyond The Zone Deranged Molding Wax. Nuff said
Cosplay Costume tip of the day: When you need shoulder guard that is light, and easy to repair if it brakes, use wax.
Simply make a mold that the wax will come out of and can be reused out of silicone rubber with a plaster mother.
melt the wax of the and pour into the mold. The best thing about wax, if it brakes just melt it and repour.
For Metallic Shoulder Guards spray with metalic paint. The bad thing about this is you might not be able to melt and reuse it as easily. (post #57)

Yeah that would be rather rare...but you never know. I mean the last Con I went to I saw a girl dressed from that movie Where The Wild Things Are, AND a girl dressed as Leeloo from The 5th Element! So you never know...
