The strange creature held onto Sirus's hair as he slaped something on his neck. The young fur cried out again as he was dropped on the ground. He felt his neck, feeling the leather collar around it.

"He's young, we'll be able to test him possibly breed him when he gets older," he stranger said into a small black box.

He was about to pull Sirus away when he saw Mephi and a girl running to them.

"Mehpi!!"  

[Meph!stopheles]

Mephistopheles snarled as he pounced on the human, mercilessly tackling him and tearing at his flesh with all his claws and teeth.. Blood splashed but the enraged Maphi didn't care. Once he was sure the human wasn't moving, he moved away from the body and again put himself between Sirus and danger. Stay away from the cub, or risk losing more of your men. His voice was rumbling with threat..  

[Alektorphobia]

Standing off to one side of the cave, she hid from the humans and flicked her gowing rainbow tipped ears. "I recognize them. They experiment. Create new breeds. Cross-breeds, more powerful forms of already created breeds, and failures." Sighing softly, she folded her arms and leaned against the cave wall.

Sirus backed away, his back hitting the cave wall. He closed his eyes and covered his ears, the screams of pain frightening him. His body shook as he curled up into a ball, the leather collar tightening as he tensed with fear. Once he peaked his eyes from behind his hand, he could see Mephi standing, blood on his fur. Sirus ran up and clutched onto Mephi's leg, whimpering softly.

Mephistopheles stood, his hand on the back of Sirus' head to try and comfort him, the intensity remaining in his pale blue eyes as he gazed at the humans. If you ever come here again, none of you will leave here alive. Now get out of my cave. It was as simple as that really, and if they decided to exert force again, he'd kill them all anyway.. He had no qualms with it..

Any remaining humans scattered out of the cave, leaving any equipment that they had with them. Sirus rubbed his head against Mephi's hand, starting to feel better about the whole attack. He now grew curious about the equipment left behind. He detached himself from Mephi and began to play with the metal boxes and look through the bags. Inside he found smaller metal boxes or pads of paper. He took a pencil he found and began to mess around on the pad on paper, he couldn't understand what was on the paper.

"Mephi, what were those things? And why were they so mean?"  

[Meph!stopheles]

They are humans... They're selfish, and destructive creatures. He went over to Sirus, retracting all but one claw, gently and carefully working it under the cub's collar. They like to hunt and enslave ones such as you or I.. They fear us because they do not understand us... They think cruelty will keep us in check. Never, ever let them near you. He began sniffing and looking around at the things left behind by the humans, seeing if there was anything useful..

Sirus turned his head to the side as he heard this. They were very frightening, and very cruel. He would make sure to stay away from them. He fliped through the pad, looking at all the diffrent drawing the humans made. He tried to make out the scrubbles but they were too odd looking. He shrugged and continued to mess around with the pencil.

"Why are they like that?"  

[Meph!stopheles]

Because they are weak. He replied simply, looking down at the pad Sirus was scribbling on. They are not totally worthless, it seems. Come on, we're going to get cleaned up...We stink of the humans.. He started out of the cave, looking around to make sure there wasn't an ambush waiting, and to see how long it would be before nightfall. He'd wait for Sirus to be by his side, then carry on.

Listening to all this, she shook her head. She didn't think it was the humans' fault for being ignorant. It was their nature, just like for any animal to kill in self defense or hunger.

Sirus took the pad with him and walked with Mephi. He looked over at the girl who was near by, her brightly colored fur amazed him as he reached out and touched her fur.

"You're fur is really bright,"

Smiling softly, she layed a hand on his head and petted him. "Yes, I know...." Flicking her tail side to side in slight unease she looked away from the young boy.

Sirus didn't notice this as he followed Mephi out of the cave. The night sky surrounded them, stars twinkling above them. Sirus looked up as he reached out and touched the sky, the moon creating a glow around his hand.

Mephi was obviously distracted, sitting and waiting for Sirus to finish talking to the brightly coloured one.. while making sure she didn't try anything. Mephisto was not in a really good mood to trust right now. so much had already happened..

Flicking her ears from side to side, she took note of the older one. "I won't hurt him"
