Zara sighed. ".......then why was I sent to the countryside?" Things weren't making sense in her head.

Holly stepped into the moonlight near the ruins, her long hair blowing into her face. "I found it," she whispered. She walked slowly towards the ruins while thinking, 'Wow, I'm so nervous. I wonder if the others are here yet...' Holly stopped at the top of a gentle slope that led to the ruins. 'I think I'll wait here until I'm sure there's someone here,' She thought. Holly settled down next to a tree and began to play with the water she drew form her water pouch. ((Edited)) (Sorry!!)

Izantus nods. "Your parents were from a branch of the royal family. When they died, many though you'd died with them. I'd found out with a bit of magic that another family had taken you in." (And Sariahed, there's only two people outside the tower. The others are inside.)

Zara fidgeted with the hem of her shirt nervously as the continued on. "W-what happened.... to my birth parents.....?" She looked around, almost scared to ask what their fates had been.

Izantus sighs. "They were ambassadors to the humans, returning from their most recent assignment. A group of Humans attacked them and their escort near a small town a little ways into Lineas. Apparently they left you for dead."

Zara flinched as he finished his sentence. Glancing up at Zarik, she spoke softly. "Then.....I ended up in Arbendalen somehow..........?"

Lia's eyes darted nervously in all directions as she cautiously entered the ruins, staying deep in the shadows. She made a slight illusion, making the shadows around her daker, hiding her completly within them. She didn't know exactly why she'd even come, but the mark her dream had left her with made her sure it was worth a try. Unless it was a trap and she ended up dead. She shoved the thought away. I'm just being paranoid she thought to her herself, but then again, paranoia came with her lifestyle.

A few minutes later, Holly sighed and thought, "And now I'm bored. Is there anyone here now?" She looked around the small open space ringing the ruins. There was nobody there. Holly shook her head and decided to walk to ruins now. She skipped across the clearing, the water dancing through the air after her.

Lia didn't see anyone so she let the shadows go back to normal and she quietly slipped in to sunshine, smiling softly as the warmth filled her body. But she kept her guard up cautiously. I wonder why I haven't seen anyone else here...

Holly stopped by the first crumbling wall at the edge of the ruins, her ears catching the sound of footsteps. She instinctively put the wall between herself and whoever was out there. Peeking over the wall, she saw a human girl with a black dress. Holly relaxed and thought, 'She seems nice, but wary. And she has the mark on her wrist. I'll go see if we can go up to the tower together.' She looked behind her at the central tower nervously. 'I'm too nervous to go alone.' Holly took a deep breath, put the water back in her pouch, and stepped out where the human girl could see her while calling, "Excuse me!"

Abelia's had spaced out, for only a moment, when she heard the voice behind her. She went in to immediate panic at the fact that someone had caught her off guard. She whirled around, eyes wide.
Without even thinking Abelia threw both herself and whomever the voice belonged to in the illusion she used most often. Both of them were now standing in an world of endless black.
It wasn't dark as they could plainly see one another, just black. And the only solid surface seemed to be the surface they were standing on. Abelia's eyes narrowed at the girl who now stood with her in the endless black.
"Who are you?" she asked, eyes narrowed suspiciously.

Holly tripped as the world seemed to go dark. Out of self defense, she muttered a spell that brought up a shield that moved like smoke and let the water in her pouch encircle her. Holly tensed for a moment and let both her shield and the water dissolve. She stared at the human girl. 'She is an illusionist? How peculiar... Well, looks can be deceiving. And she made me trip. It's hard to make an elf trip...' Holly shook her head slightly and answered, "My name is Holly Rivor, of the elven race. I came to this place..." She hesitated slightly because of their surroundings and went on, "On the account of a dream I had. Who are you? And did you have a dream that led you here?"

Lia sighed, relaxing slightly. "My apologies, Ms. Rivor. This place is making me paranoid" she said in explanation, though she didn't drop the illusion. Obviously she was still very much suspicious.
"Not that I wasn't that generaly paranoid before I got here...." she muttered to herself. "And yes, I did have a dream leading me here" she added. "You are an elf that has power over water, I assume?" she asked.
Suddenly a chair melted out of the darkness behing Holly. "Would you like sit?" she asked, still waiting for an answer to her first question.

Holly struggled to contain her laughter as she said, "Please, call me Holly." 'Ms? Seriously? This girl is very formal. But she didn't answer my my first question. I wonder why..? And does she not know that all elves could easily hear the second statement about her paranoia?' She thought curiously. Holly said, "Don't worry about your lingering paranoia; it should leave soon. And yes, I do have control over water. Now, before I sit down, I would like to know your own identity so I may be able to address you by name."

Abelia realized that she was being very formal, but being a street dweller she learned that formalities often got you out of trouble. But that was in the human world and this girl was an elf. It obviously wasn't working.
"I'm Abelia, or Lia" she said, dropping the illusion. She smiled sheepishly. "I'm sorry Holly, formality is often my way of getting out of trouble back where I live. And like I said, this place is making me more paranoid that usual" she told her, still a bit rigid.
