Kai chuckled as he gently ran a hand down the imposing door. A seris of couplicated dails permiated its entire surface. "Aaye! Amin naa tualle, tua dina manka lle merna." he muttered, running his hand gently back up the doors surface. Moments later a hissing sound followed by a quiet pop to signify its opening. "Time for the real fun." he commented quietly as he pushed the door open.

"Shhhh..." Kai cationed. "Voices in this passage easily carry easily." he barely whispered. "Come we must move quickly now..." he stated, taking off at a brisk pace down the passge way as he pulled Saiya quickly behind him.

Stopping suddenly and spun to scoop up Saiya. Bending his knees, Kai leaped up into the air. Blackness and wind speeding past them as they shot higher and higher up. Grabbing the recesses of the gate Kai hauled them into a small holding space with one arm as he kept the other securely around Saiya.

Adjusting his grip more securely around Saiya, Kai slowly lifted the old gate just enough to slip out. Quick as lightening he dashed out of the hiding spot, zig-zagging from tree to tree. Speed and stealth were crucial here if they were to make it around the ones hunting Saiya. A deep breathe of the winds that raced pass told him just how close they were, and how critical speed was. Leaping Kai grabbed a branch and shot himself up into a tall trees branches to hide and allow the human a chance to catch her breath. Another deep breathe told him the hunters attention were slipping, as their heart rate slowed and they slipped into slumber.

A snapping twig drew Kai's attention and he pressed a finger to Saiya's lips. A sniff of wind told him at least one of the little hunters was trying to be vigil. Feeling the hectic heart beat against him, he looked down. Kai had forgotten that most humans couldn't move this fast by their own means. Pausing to allow her to catch her breathe a bit before moving again, he allowed his eyes to scan the area. Which is when he caught a flick of movement. One of the hunters... And he looked either drunk or tired. Or both.

Leaving Saiya in the tree, Kai jumped down and went to the body. Lifting it over his shoulder he made his way back to the tree. Shifting the bodies weight Kai quickly scaled the tree to land on a branch near Saiya. Propping the body within the branches he went through the hunters pockets, keeping whatever might be useful and putting back everything else. A fast leap landed him lightly on the same branch as Saiya. Pausing Kai closed his eyes for a moment and breathed in deeply. All the other hunters were sound asleep... Kai suppressed a smile. A few were even snoring. "Time to go." he whispered, holding his hand out to her once more.

Smiling Kai handed it back to her clean. "Ready?" he asked. At least this time he was able to give her a bit of warning. "We only have to travel a couple of miles North before you'll be able to walk." he explained, glancing around again automatically even though his senses told him they were in the clear for now.
