In the end days.

Dice nodded, watching the road intently as Dimitris drove him away, a rather panicked look on his face as the fox continued to speed up. "where are we going to then?" he asked, not sure if anywhere was safe.

"We're gonna have to stop and refuel soon so we might as well burn rubber and get as far away." He turned off the nearest outlet mall ramp and cut off the lights and let the jeep coast to a stop in the lot.

Dice nodded, holding onto the seat as Dimitris slowed down to a stop, the mall nearby was a welcome sight for the half fox, as the warmth and safety it promised was something he wanted most. "Are we going to camp in the mall?" he asked, smiling at it like his parents were offering him a chocolate bar.

"It should be good, it's a small one with limited entries, we will need to set up a barrier first then scout the inside." The fox sighed pulling over and getting a water bottle from the bag. "But since it's out here way off from any real towns who knows what sort of mutants can be around here like that big one on the road."  

[Jackal McFluffybutt]

"shouldn't... we scout inside first, to make sure theres nothing there to kill us? if we barricade the doors, it will just make it hard to get out if there is something to worry about in there." the hybrid suggested as he opened his door, looking out at the small mall.  

[Kage-Taisen Twilight]

"Sorry my mind is racing, you're right. Ok let's try go in and scout the place out." The fox climbs out and looks at the sign on the mall. "Weyhmount Outlet, but that means... I went the wrong way. We're in Boston, Grahhh!!"  

[Jackal McFluffybutt]

"Why did you want out of boston in the first place?" Dice asked, standing beside dimitris. "I mean, it's still a mall, if theres little or no threat inside it would still make a good hidout for a while, right?" he said, looking at the building, he personally couldn't see any reason why the mall wouldn't work.  

[Kage-Taisen Twilight]

"Well when you put it that way it's allright to take a breather here." Shaking his head the fox made its way into the entrance.

Dice began walking towards the building, looking about skiddishly for any signs of mutants or other unwanted entities, his worry was obvious. as he approached the door he looked inside before making any decisions. "it looks empty right now..." he admitted.

Dice walked towards the building, peering through the glass doors to see if he could spot anything. of course, he couldn't. "it seems clear from here!." he called to Dimitris

It felt like Brooke had been walking for days. At last, though, she could see the on-ramp of the old freeway. Her pace quickened slightly. Maybe the great road would take her somewhere. She honestly had no idea where there was to go, but it would give her something to do...

Her ears flicked to pick up a soft sound. She turned her head. A voice? She was walking by what seemed to have once been a shopping mall, off to the side of the road. Maybe she'd meet a travel companion or two. Carefully she headed down into the parking lot, her hooves clop-clopping lightly on the asphalt.

He turned to Dice as his whiskers twitched and his glasses glared. "We have someone coming. It doesn't look hostile so wait here while I start searching around." He patted him on the back passing him going into a store down the hall.

"okay" Dice agreed, walking towards the glass door of the mall and peering inside, he was rather surprised when the wight sensor still worked and the door opened, but wen he got a good look in he couldn't see anything moving. "I think it's safe... for now." he told Dimitris.

Dimitrs looked around carefully flooding the rooms with light doing a fairly quick scan of the already raided departments. Stopping halfway down the hall the fox found a uniform store and went in. A few moments later Dimitris walked out dressed in fitting cop uniform with the badge pulled off. "Yo. Dice!"

Brooke could make out two shadows far off, near the mall entrance. One of them slipped inside, the other hovering in the doorway. Were they looking for survival supplies? Were they hostile? Deciding to err on the side of action--what was there to lose, really?--she continued her approach. But she flexed a hand as she walked forward, trying to sense the little pinpricks of energy that were plant seeds, embedded in the very earth below her feet, hidden by the asphalt. Better safe than sorry.

A voice! It seemed to come from within the building, from the shadow that had disappeared earlier. She wondered if they knew of her presence yet; her gait sped up a bit.
