@JK: So does my username. =D They should have a shifty eyes emoticon... Cream cheese on BLT's? Sounds interesting... like I do like cream cheese a lot, but it's always been something that just seems gross to have with meat; I like it on bagels or on things with raisins, like English muffins or celery. But maybe I'll try it sometime. Not like I eat mine normal anyway. XD I don't have tomato on it, but instead pickles and olives. Sometimes I'll take oil and vinegar over mayo as well. I used to get called Muraki at school. There was one night where Karma, another friend, and I had a sleepover and got 'drunk' on water bottles and watched Yami no Matsuei all night, so then we all pretended to be the characters and I was Muraki, so the name kind of stuck. XD He's like the only villain in any series that is my favorite character. I've know three Morgans, one male, two female. My best friend as a kid was also named Morgan.
@Morgey: The first time I had someone in my class with the same name as me was third grade, and she was a popular, bitchy girl. The teacher told us that so she could tell us apart, to write "Courtney R." for me and "Courtney B." for her. I did as the teacher said, and always wrote Courtney R. on my papers. But the other Courtney was like, "Oh, that's too much work. I'm the real Courtney anyway." so she just wrote Courtney. Then somehow this transitioned to her being known as "Courtney" by the class, while I was actually literally called out loud, by every student except my friends, "Courtney R." for the entire year. I wanted to smack that b***h. That's what the B. stood for, which I'm sure is why she refused to write it on her paper. rolleyes Yeah, it's funny how people just go by usernames so much here. XD There's people I've known longer than you that I still don't know their real names. You'll always be more of a Morgey than a Lindsey to me though. wink You seem like a Dorothy even less than a Lindsey... I got a BLT last night for dinner. =D I was happy. Bacon, what?! Lettuce, what?! Tomato, what?!
@JK: I only knew one Lindsey, though she spelled it Lindsay. She was my best friend in preschool, then ditched me for the popular kids when we got to kindergarten. And thus began my life as a nerd. I know what she did was rude, but I kind of have to thank her for it, secretly. Ahaha, I love the name Cain! <3 That's my main DnD character's name, and he had a little sister named Abel (though was pronounced like "able," rather than "apple" with a B) that he accidentally killed when he was young. Fun story to come up with. I should fill out a form for him in the roleplay form thread. ^^

So she got her own way through being a brat? I love people! But Courtney R is sort of cool, it sounds piratey. If that's any consolation, which it probably isn't.
I tried getting one of my friends here to call me Lindsey instead of Morgey because I don't really like my username. It lasted about a day. =[
There's no place like home?
WELL NER.

Yup. rolleyes Though I still prefer not to have an R tacked onto my name every time someone says it, I do at least agree that Courtney R sounds a helluva lot cooler than Courtney B. I can call you Lindsey if you want. XD;; I swear I'll stick to it, with only the occasional mess-up. YES THERE IS. Ner is a funny word.

Courtney Arr!
Okay, no.
It also sounds like Courtney-er (sort of). As in you're more Courtney than anyone else!
Nah, call me what the hell you want, although I'll have to draw the line at "Dull fishface who smells bad". But other than that, I'm not that bothered. It's sweet of you to offer though.
LIES.
It's an adorable word.

@Morgey - well that's a relief
*drools even more*...white chocolate is possibly my favorite!! It's between that and dark. Milk just loses.
@Kits - So does the second half of my username! Because K's are awesome razz
They should! I'd use that emoticon SO much.
Yea it seems weird, but I like it, so give it a shot if you like cream cheese (wouldn't recommend it to someone who didn't like cream cheese anyhow). If I hadn't been eating it since before I had memory I probably would be hesitant as well, however it's just now natural. Sometimes I'll just have sandwiches with bacon and cream cheese so the meat is actually what's melding well. I also love cream cheese and cucumber, cucumber sandwiches are delicious!
The tomato thing reminds me of this funny story. My friend's family pretty much all hates tomatoes. One day her dad was working, and his mother decided to bring him lunch, to be nice. She decided to make him a blt, but knew he didn't like one of those thigns. She decided it was the bacon, so he got a tomato and lettuce sandwich. As he hates tomatoes, it became a lettuce sandwich. Mmmmmmm, hahaha. I just have to say, if you think that what they don't like about a food is the main ingredient, perhaps you should make them something else? That's just me though ^_~.
I love Muraki, but Hisoka is by far my favorite. I love him!! Oh, and I heard something about the manga restarting again as of January 19th, 2010 or something? Volume 12 was released, but it has some variations from where it left off. Did you hear anything about that?!? Because I'd definitely start reading the manga if it was resumed.
That Courtney B does sound like she'd get on my nerves...I probably woulda just made up a new name, I was like that as a kid. However I never had that issue. The first Gail I met was when I was in HS, and she was a mom so we weren't in the same circles. She was Ms. Stringer. Of course her kid is still on the swim team that I've since aged off of and now coach (he's only 17, you age off at 1 cool so lately I've been dealing with another Gail...tis interesting.
As for usernames, it's all part of being who you want to be, online I can be Joke Whore and nobody knows different ^_~. Except personally I don't care, I'm pretty happy with who I am - save for my name ^_~. Don't hate it that much though.
I've known one Lindsay, the rest were Lindseys. She's always been nice and sweet and kind of shy. We've never been good friends but we were both in band and went to the same middle school, high school and even college, though she was a year behind me. I like this one quote:
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.
So don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
It seems sad but true. It's why I don't let people who I don't care about get me down, my concern has always been with people who matter. And maybe that's why nobody ever bothers me, because they can't get me to care. People have to realize that with me, you have to get me to like you, to love you, to get me to care about you. Only they can hurt me, I just trust that I choose wisely, that I know myself and am a good enough judge of character that they never intentionally do - and I work really hard to try and not drown myself in that which was unintentional.
I love the name too, though I tend to prefer Kain. Mostly because my favorite video game of all time was Blood Omen, from the Legacy of Kain series. I like the Blood Omen games and Kain, my brother likes the Soul Reaver game and Raziel, kinda funny, we are mortal enemies ^_~ (if you've never played it's all the same series, 5 games - unless they made more recently, though I doubt it, and my brother would know if they did. Two are Blood Omen - I prefer the original PS version, even if it is crappy graphics and limited gameplay. It's just awesome! Two Soul Reaver games and then a final game called Defiance). Plus Kain = K ^_~.
@Morgey - I could call you Lindsey if you want, though I'd rather call ya Morgan razz
Head on over to the...character list thread? And join in the Ozian discussian ^_~. I agree though, there are places decidedly worse and there are places decidedly better...but there's no place quite like it.
Now I'll toss in home is where the heart is...though I've found out you don't realize where your heart is until you are away from it, and your heart can unfortunately be in two places.
Ner...hmm sounds kinda nerdy to me... wink

I used to love dark chocolate, but it doesn't seem to taste of much anymore. White is definitely the best chocolate though.
I would join in the discussion, but I don't really have anything to add, so I just haven't bothered. =p

But it does! Milk is too sweet.
Although, when it comes to Toblerone (not sure I'm spelling it right and too lazy to look it up, but it's Swiss chocolate that because of Friends I associate with airports - and indeed I have seen it in every airport I've ver been to, none of which have been in Switzerland mind you) I actually like the milk ones best. It's weird how that happened. And I rather dislike the dark ones. The white ones are ok, I dunno, that particular combination with the milk just works well though.
Effort is exhausting.
Oye, I don't like beer! I went with my friends to a pub/restaurant last night (was called The Englander, however last I check potstickers aren't English, but ok! Hehe, weird menu, but yea it was half authentic I think?) and I was the only one drinking wine. See I applied to grad schools in the UK because I want to study English Lit in an English country, however cuisine wise I'd probably be much happier in Italy, or even France. Oh well, I do like tea razz .
Embrace your nerd factor, come on, own it, OWN IT!

Toblerone is pretty much win. Especially the giant ones. =D
Effort is exhausting. I'd elaborate but meh.
And I don't like wine, so we're pretty well matched. =p I've never even heard of potstickers.
Where've you applied?
I don't like tea, I feel like a freak. =P
Okay...errrm... I JUST CAN'T. scream

@Morgey: Apparently I own as a Courtney then. o.o Alright then, I shan't call you "Dull fishface who smells bad." XD
@JK: Aww, milk is my favorite. )= Though I am very fond of dark chocolate as well. White chocolate is okay. That's the one that's too sweet in my opinion. I know it's considered a lame, low-class chocolate, but Hershey's is the best to me. Most other chocolates are just too rich. Man, I want BLTs again... XP And not just one from Subway that I got last time, but a nice homemade one... I think I shall buy some bacon and make one soon. And I'll try it with cream cheese as well, because the more I think about it, the more it kind of sounds good. ^^ I'll make it easy on myself though and just go with bacon, lettuce, and cream cheese. I love cucumber sandwiches. <3 Cucumber is my favorite vegetable after all, even though it's actually a fruit. XD Lettuce sandwich sounds sad... XD;; Hisoka is definitely one of my not-so-favorite characters, but since all the characters are amazing, I still like him a lot. ^^ Hisoka is who Karma was on that drunk night, though I think she likes Tsuzuki better. Apparently I'm very similar to Hisoka myself though. XD;; Unfortunately, volume twelve will just consist of chapters that were released in Japan's magazine, Hana to Yume, quite a few years ago. They were never published into a volume or brought to the US, so while it's good to see they're putting some effort back into the series (I have heard that a lot will be fixed up from the magazine version by the author), it's not actually back into full serialization mode again. Awesome quote, it makes sense. I'll try not to worry about Lindsay then. XD I feel that I'm quite similar in judging people, just... a little more easily make close friends. So I guess I get more people who feel they can come to me. >_o I've never played Blood Omen, but I've heard of it. :3 Never heard of Toblerone, but if it has great milk chocolate, I'll look out for it.
@Morgey: Is it really considered freaky not to like tea in England? XD I guess that's how coffee is here; but I don't feel like a freak for not liking it. Everyone else is the freaks!

@Morgey - it IS! I resisted buying one the other day, because I'd eat it all at once and then feel like a fatty.
Meh indeed.
I'll assume Kits went into shock and immediately filled you on the pot stickers and skip that detailing...you know...effort.
Greenwich (where I got in), Durham and Birmingham. I was going to apply to Leeds and Royal Holloway as well but now I dunno...I started the apps, I should really pull them but I haven't committed to not applying yet. I applied to St. Andrews in Scotland as well, but they rejected me, surprise surprise.
You are a freak.
DO IT!!!
@Kits - Hershey is ok, pretty much in love with Godiva though, especially their chocolate covered strawberries. My definition of heaven right there.
You do that! I might have to do that soon too, all this blt talk is getting to be too much. I think brussel sprouts are my favorite vegetable...I know I'm weird. I love 'em though.
It was sad, but again, funny story razz
I like Tsuzuki but I probably feel about him the way you do abuot Hisoka, not-so-favorite. Yea, I heard they were very edited as well, but it's hope right? Maybe the author will be like, well, since I'm touching this...might as well. I shall hope. For a bit at least.
Good for you! Definitely don't worry indeed.
I've got lots of close friends, and I've got lots of friends who can come to me. It's more...I just can't go to them in return. I have fewer friends I can go to. Again that's my paranoia, trust issues, and general discomfort with my own emotions. It's never stopped them from turning to me, but when I need a shoulder, I usually just suffer in silence. I can't ask for help. Tch...whatever...heh stressed .
Kain is my love *glomps his vengeful and wrath filled behind*
Definitely look for it, it's amazing! I mean it's Swiss, it has to be amazing, hahaha.
@Morgey - ok I was wrong, she ignored your pot sticker failure. Anyhow it is a Chinese dumpling with ground meat and/or veggies wrapped in a thinly rolled piece of dough. They are then crimped closed and then boiled, steamed or fried (shallow fry - pot stickers are soft, much softer than egg rolls or wantons or something). I prefer pork pot stickers myself. Apparently they are English food though so you'd better get on it ^_~.
@Kits - I know a lot of people who dislike coffee here. I think this country is just too diverse a hotpot to have a staple. Which I'll always appreciate...^_^.

I was totally thinking all shockedly and gonna tell Morgey what potstickers were, but then I forgotsteded... D: I've had Godiva before; never the strawberries, but the chocolate itself wasn't bad. ^^ I'm staying at my brother's house for the weak, and I saw he has cream cheese and lettuce... so I think I'm gonna buy some bacon tomorrow and make it for dinner Thursday. Brussel sprouts are quite nummy, but not my favorite. ^^ Yes, at least there is some hope. ^^ Oh, I guess I'm the same way then. XD I rarely turn to people if I need to... then again, there rarely is a time I need to turn to someone... Pork is my favorite as well, though the veggie ones are also really good. Not as fond of the chicken, but I'll still eat it. No, hamburgers are our staple. Burgers, burgers! That's why we're fat. =D But no... burgers aren't as popular as they were back in the fifties. I think pizza is our staple now. XD It's the only thing I can think of that people are all shocked if you don't like.

No Kits, there is no forgiveness, I can't believe you. Failcon!!!
But the strawberry makes it BETTER! It makes good = heaven. And omg, they make the most sinful drinks ever, one sip and you'll gain 5 pounds. I don't know that I'd recommend it to you though, it'd probably knock your off your feet...wouldn't say I've expertly pegged your food taste yet, but I have a feeling.
Brilliant plan!
Well most people think they are disgusting, so I feel better that you at least agree they are good ^_^.
I rarely do too, but there are times I really hurt myself by shutting in and down. Ah well, I'm working on venting my potatoes (me and my "twin" - one of 'em - are now calling our drama potatoes. So we can be all nonchalant in pubic when asking each other about our potatoes, nobody will know *yes is such a dork* razz ).
Woot...go piggy, go piggy, you're delicious...ok I gotta stop doing that!
I still don't think we have a staple, I mean vegetarianism/veganism are fads now, as our mineral diets, and etc etc. There's just no way to have a staple when you don't have a cultural value on food. Plus pizza isn't even "American." Burgers kind of were, and true, back in the day like you said. However now we've got nada. I mean ever since Fast Food Nation half the nation can't even look at a burger anyhow.
Oh I know tons of people who don't like it, maybe coffee is just really important to your city? Hahaha. I get WAY more crap for disliking beer than anyone ever seems to get for coffee, and TONS of people don't like beer, particularly girls. I just know way too many girls who will indulge in a beer. Tch, conformists!
