yalie5 for some reason, they celebrated chinese newyear in school today mrgreen WHOA! You're lucky! All i got from my school was some "Did you enjoy your new year?" - some freaky girl from school, "Happy New Year" - my head of year, "You proper skiver!" - my friend rolleyes she also skives too! a lot! "You're lucky yo have chinese year!" - most of my friends say.........

Oh yeah I failed the first math test, but I did pretty good on the second one, so I redeemed myself, so I didn't get a C after all. I got a B-. biggrin

My friend just told me today at lunch that i might have to do a presentation about Chinese New Year at my year assembly next Monday, cos on Monday ((when i wasnt at school)) my head of year done an assembly about Chinese New Year and she noticed i wasnt at school to talk about Chinese New Year to my whole year group! ((theres around 150 people in my year group!))
I was eek NO!!!!!

As usual, my school held an assembly about Chinese New Year at the beginning of the week... Gave a pretty crap version of the coming of the twelve zodiac, lol.... sweatdrop
And yay, a late Happy New Year to you all! mrgreen *throws confetti*
Is it just me, or do all the English people say: "Gong Hei Fat Choy" instead of "Gong Xi Fa Chai"? It seems they've followed the way of the Cantonese dialect (not that I mind, lol! mrgreen ), instead of Mandarin, which I find strange, as Mandarin is meant to be the domineering dialect, and the translations (e.g. Feng Shui) usually follow Mandarin...
Meh, anyway, I managed to bag a lot of money for New Year's... But as usual, my parents have dumped the load of cash into my bank account! gonk I hate this rule about not being able to use my own money! scream crying

we celebrated lunar new year at our school too! I may be a little late but san lin faai lok/xin nian kuai le everyone xd
