Matt only gave a scoff.
"Yeah...Riiiight...He's a washup since he's not helping NOW."

"My father couldn't join the war because he has the rest of my family to take care of!" Rachel barked, getting up into Matt's face, glaring coldly at him.

"In the last war, he was WHOLE family was murdered in front of them because he wasn't on board the ship to protect them from the Gundam that attacked. While he laid comatose in a hospital after being nearly killed in a battle, Side 8 was razed to nothing but ruins.
"He stays behind now to make sure my family isn't slaughtered like his parents and sister; He remains at home to prevent the Followers from attacking Side 8 without anyone to defend the colony."  

[Zahzi]

"Ya realize that the Mosakau is positioned around Side 8, right?" Matt asked, giving her a dull stare.
"Sure, Gray's not commanding it, but Red is instead."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"My father doesn't forget easily.. He still makes a trip once a week to see his family's graves. He could never leave them behind after what happened in the last war."

"People die in all wars, kid." Matt said, staring at her.
"He at least knew who his family WAS."

"And is it so wrong for him to defend the family he has now?"  

[Zahzi]

"They're MORE than defended right now!"

"They were defended when the attack happened, yet the whole colony still got destroyed!"

"The colony HAD no defenses! It was a NEUTRAL COLONY!"

"Both the Barons and the Lionheart sat docked and somehow Sol-Neo still razed the entire place!"

"Because they idiotically believed the neutral standing would be enough. Face it. We humans aren't that smart."

"Sol-Neo respected the neutral standing up until that day. They had received word my father laid comatose in the hospital, and when they tried to sway the government into siding with them and failed, they sought revenge. They did it to kill him and send a message to colonies that did not support them. If it hadn't been for those things, Side 8 never would have been attacked."

HK, standing only a few away, let out a heavy sigh.
He then looked to the Gray Baron dully, though his expression was unmoving.
"...This is why I hate you meatbags..."

The Gray Baron was actually watching with some popcorn.

"You act like because the guy's your father, you're entitled to something." Matt said, giving her dull stare.
