Marie's face showed how upset she was that this was hurting him before she closed off her emotions and just did as he asked. She didn't like the fact that she was causing him pain, but she figured this must be something important. She made her movements gentle though and when the tube emptied and she placed it where she was told she let her fingers linger for a half a second longer as if her own silent apology for what was happening to him. But when that was done she stepped back to the window, and got pulled back to who she used to be, and where she was.
Sometimes she forgot what happened when she came back, to their world. She fell away from herself, because no matter how hard she tried she never felt at home here, or any other village for that matter.
She wasn't the only one who could see it, Ella used to say that Marie was just the kind of person who needed to be alone, but Marie didn't believe that. She loved people, not all of them, but the good hearted ones. It was just,
Your family She thought to herself They're close and it's making you nuts.
She scoffed out loud and spun away from the window back to the chair she had orginally been sitting on. She felt terrible though, because Vaul must think she was insane. She went from happy to moody.
She shook her head annoyed with herself.
"Is there anything else you need?" She asked looking up at him, her expression softening enough to let a slight smile break through.

((That's no problem at all. I hope you enjoy your trip! Btw I wasn't sure if Vaul needed Marie to do anything else after the tube thing so I made her go to the window. ))

"Ella and Boone were supposed to get married, he was trying to do some spell, and Ella went into the room to help. We all heard her start screaming, when we went into the room, Boone was a dog. From what I gathered he was trying to ensure they would always be happy. Spells like that are tricky. The worst part is they didn't even need it. They were great together, he was just paranoid." Marie replied, explaining that day the best she could.
She smiled at him though responding to his question.
"You're already repaying me by letting me join you. That's enough for me. Now how about lunch? You hungry because I'm starved." She laughed shaking off the distress she had felt earlier. There was little chance that her parents would find out where she was yet. She should just relax.

"No, we'll go downstairs and get Ella to talk. Somehow." She smiled and went back to the window this time opening it and stepping out onto the ledge.
"Hey!" She yelled down below at a huge man passing by it. "Adam! We're hungry, can you get me the good table please?" She yelled again.
"Sure thing." A booming voice could be heard in response.
Marie poked her head back inside the room.
"Our table will be ready in a minute. We can talk to Ella there, is there anything else you need?" She wondered. She couldn't see behind his mask and that made her nervous sometimes, because a lot of the time she based people's emotions off of what she saw on their face, with him she couldn't do that; she could only guess.
She supposed that was why she kept asking him if he needed anything.
"You know, I'm used to reading people's faces. But I can't do that with you." She said telling him her thought. "It's intresting, to wonder what you are thinking."

Marie

Marie looked thoughtful for a moment as she looked over at him.
"How do you know if someone is happy in your culture if you can't see their face?" She asked, hoping she didn't sound too rude. She didn't mean to be, but she thought of how the face gave away the secret emotions people tried to hide.
"My facial expressions are intresting?" She asked tipping her head to the side a bit, she figured hers were ordinary. But maybe to him they weren't.
She headed to the stairs
She began walking down them but at a slow pace, she wasn't sure if he would fall since these steps were probably about forty years older then the elder of this village and so were probably dangerous. She wanted to be close, so if he fell she could grab him, plus she never really liked these stairs herself. She had taken quite a spill down them once and broken her arm.

Marie laughed at his comment about the stairs.
"Yes they are, I broke my arm on them a long time ago. Been careful on them ever since." She grinned, thinking of how she had been running to go outside and see the storm that day. She had been visiting to see Ella at the time.
"Marie." She heard a soft voice and was startled to see Ella had approached them. She smiled and nodded.
"Hey, can we talk?" She asked carefully, not wanting Ella to retreat back to her shell.
Ella nodded though in return and ushered them to their table. Once they got there Marie turned to Vaul.
"What do you want to eat? Adam makes the best food." She asked.
Ella sat quietly on the other side of her.

Marie thought about it for a second before saying
"I think you'll like the pie. Everyone likes the pie."
She nodded at Adam who immediatly brought over two slices of pie.
"He's a mind reader." Ella whispered looking over at Vaul. Marie turned around and stared at Ella with a bit of a shocked look. She had thought it would of taken some coaxing to get her to talk, was it perhaps she was finally ready to let the world in again?
Marie didn't say anything, in fear that Ella would change her mind and flee, so she just quietly took a bite of the pie and smiled at Adam who turned to leave.
Then she turned her attentions back to Ella.

Marie coughed a bit and got up from the table,
"I'm going to give you two a minute to talk." She decided looking at Ella, giving her a silent plea to talk. Then she strolled over to the other side and sat next to Adam.
Ella glanced over at Vaul a bit shocked and replied.
"It was a charm of some sort. To bring the wearer happiness for all time. But it broke and the next thing I knew he was a dog. I didn't think anything bad would happen or I never would have let him touch it." She explained and sighed sadly.
Marie watched from where she sat, having Adam tell her what was being said. She was happy that Ella was talking again and she wondered if maybe it was Vaul that had gotten her to talk. He seemed to have such a calm soul that it rubbed off on people. She smiled a bit and then turned back to Adam to listen to what he was saying.
