★ ғɑsт ғσʀωɑʀɗ ★Amber nervously sat on the piano's bench shaking uncontrollably one week later from their previous meet-up. She most definitely thought it was sort of quick, the effect she had on Mike. Nowadays he was just about the only think in her mind. What was worse, since she got those photos a while back developed, she literally had him with her 24/7. But she had to say, the pictures she got of the Glee Club were really inspirational. It made her want to give her all too. Now she was completely shaking. Sure she accepted the fact that she was getting pretty close with Mike, but it didn't mean she completely opened up to him. The past week she had been contemplating between two songs. Just For Now by Imogen Heap or Fireflies by Owl City, both songs she practised for. The fact that she had been in the auditorium for a whole period now, due to her spare, didn't help with her nervousness. Growing tired of her legs shaking, Amber stood playing her tape and standing into the blaring lights. She took a deep breath as the intro began and began singing Fireflies.
Jay arrived at the house, this time evenly on time. He didn't quite necessarily have to be so precise, but it was his own little way of teasing her for what she said last week. Like always, he waited patiently for her to get the door. Shockingly enough, Jay was quite excited to give her a performance. He easily chose a song as he left practise last week and worked hard making a piano arrangement for the song. Dear Jamie... Sincerely Me by Hellogoodbye.

Mike opened the door, thinking he was late. At first he pushed loudly, but stopped the force and slowly opened the door. He peeked inside as he heard a voice sing. His lips curled into a smile and he crept to a seat and sat down. Amber, who was on stage, was small compared to the vast black stage. However, her voice was projected through the auditorium and he could only watch her. Sure, Amber was not the best singer he had ever heard; Rachel would be on Amber's case in a minute, but there was something about it that made him listen. It was nice and clear. When Amber finished, he clapped hard and stood up, mimicking a standing oblation. "You said you couldn't sing? You sing better than me," he said, walking down the stairs to the stage.
Lynn opened the door and let Jay in. She let him find the piano himself. There, on the glossy top of the piano was a plate of sandwiches. Lynn was being nicer to Jay as she really didn't feel like being a b***h to him. It was good to have a break. "Did you eat? I made sandwiches in case you're hungry," she said.

Amber finished the last note, closing her eyes, having a sense of accomplishment. She then turned to turn the tape off, but heard clapping then a voice. Amber tripped in total surprise, literally falling to the ground. "Oww," she mumbled pushing herself up from the ground and turned once more to see Mike. How long had he been there for? Probably long enough to hear it all. Gosh. Gosh. Gosh. "I-I'm not that good..." She shook her head in response.
"Aww, thanks. But, I already had a bite to eat, though, I'll probably be hungry again after we do a bit practising," Jay replied as he walked in. "They look good though." He headed round the piano taking a seat comfortably on the piano's bench. He was eager to show her his arrangement, especially since his song wasn't originally a piano piece. "This is Dear Jamie... Sincerely Me by Hellogoodbye," Jay told her as he began to play the intro.

Mike saw her falling and tried to run to catch her, but he was too far. When he finally made it to her, he helped her up. "Are you alright?" he couldn't help smiling, brushing off some dust off her pants, "Yeah! You are good! Well, not like Rachel, but who can beat her?...but I really think you sound good. I like your voice."
Lynn sat down. She liked this. She had an excuse to look at Jay. She listen with rapt attention, sitting stiffly as if listening to a pastor's sermon. His voice rang inside her head; wonderful and soothing. Lynn had never heard this song before, but she liked it. His piano playing matched perfectly. This style really suited him. When he finished, she didn't clap; she was still entranced.

Amber stiffened as she felt him touch her. Sure it had been a week, but she still saw it all as a complete fantasy. Unreal. Plus, he was a jock and she had this strange fear of sorts with them, so it was hard for her to completely relax with him. But, the sure thing was, that with all the time they were spending together she was slowly getting better with talking with him. She actually had no problem getting along with other Glee members who were not jocks or Cheerios. After getting past the awkward conversation stage, Amber grew comfortable with them all. But, she still had troubles with the jocks and Cheerios, Mike included. "Umm... Thanks..." She nodded her head flattered that he thought so.
As Jay sung, his eyes would connect with Lynn as she was his only audience. His voice drifted off as he ended it off with a piano ending. He then looked over at Lynn smiling. "So, what'd you think? I know my voice ain't the best, but whatever," he laughed jokingly. He didn't comment on her expression. A relax, calm, peaceful sort of expression. She appeared so vulnerable, so delicate, so angelic in a way. He'd keep it to himself.

"Hey, let's sing a duet for our project," Mike decided, "We can support each other. We aren't much of soloist, you know?" He sat down at the piano chair, leading Amber with him by holding her hand. He looked at her and gesture her to sit down with him. She sat and he then motioned her to lean on him. "Come on. I can support you. Let's brainstorm."
Lynn snapped out of it. "Yeah, your voice isn't the best, but it's good enough. You have nice tone, but when you start to get out of your range, it gets a bit bad," Lynn said truthfully. She wasn't going to lie and tell him he was wonderful; wonderfully hot. "I think your piano playing upstages your singing."

Well, Amber did sit down with him, but didn't lean on him. Their closeness already was enough for her. If she went any closer goosebumps would probably form. It was sort of funny that he sat quite comfortably while she sat neatly. Though she only sat neatly because her mom was like that. "Umm... How about Airplanes?" She suggested.
"Yeah, I can hear myself," he laughed. "I only joined Glee mainly so I could play piano freely. And also to find a voice that suits my piano." Secretly he already thought there was a voice that suited his piano, but he wouldn't admit it. He believed he could find one even better for it. One that would suit it even more.

Mike furrowed his brow trying to remember what song that was. He then slapped his hands together in realization after a few moments. "OH! That one? That would be perfect!" Mike jumped up excitedly. He thrust his hand into his pocket and pulled out and iPod. He held out a earbud for her. "Here. Let's sing a long with it."
Lynn shrugged and reached for a sandwich. "Well, what do you want to do?" she said, munching, "We can do solo or duet. Speechless, this song or another?"

She couldn't help but smile just smile a little, holding in some laughter. His reaction was quite amusing and a little bit adorable. She took the earbud popping it into her ear. The music began and Amber engrossed her whole mind trying to forget Mike was there. It started with her part.
Jay got up from the piano picking up a sandwich and heading to the couches joining Lynn. "I think Speechless was really good. Like really," Jay told her honestly as he took a few bites from the sandwich. Oh, so it really was as good as it looked.

Mike was getting into it. As his part started, he couldn't help but stand up and dance. He started with a twirl, rapping and leaning close to Amber. He even gave her a playful wink as he got into the groove and his body moved more.
Lynn turned to him, chewing. "We'll do that then," she replied, turning back to stare at the wall. They chewed in silence.

Amber flinched slightly as the earbud got pulled from her ear, but she smiled listening and watching Mike. She still didn't quite know why, but she could watch him all day just dancing. Of course he'd get tired of dancing all day long, but as a figure of speech she most definitely could watch him move all day. Inspired, when Amber got to her part she sang in time despite not having the music anymore, her eyes closed as she sung, her upper body moving a bit with the beat time.
Jay raised an eyebrow wondering why she turned to stare at the wall. Strange. He shrugged off his thoughts and continued munching. Finishing he stood once more. "Do you want to practise the song or just call it a day?" He asked.

Mike grinned and grabbed both Amber's hands. He pulled her to her feet and moved his body, trying to get hers to move as well. He spun her around, laughing and smiling. "You know Amber. I never felt this way about anyone before," Mike told her, breaking the song, "I'm glad I met you. Well. I kind of interrogated you when we first met. I hope you forgive me for that time."
Lynn stood up. "No, you should go," she answered, then looked out the window, "I need to start studying."

Despite her inspiration level, Amber wasn't a very good dancer, or more so her body didn't move too well. It was awfully stiff. But she too couldn't help but laugh and smile. As they finally came to a halt, Amber looked up the smile still on her face. "I forgave you a long time ago. If I were you I would've interrogated me too," she laughed. She was touched by his words, but even though she heard it with her own ears she still found it hard to believe.
"Mmkay," Jay nodded gathering his things. He left the house, though he would've like to stay longer he respected her own time. The past week the spent a lot of it together and practising, so it made sense to part. Plus, they weren't dating or anything so it wouldn't make sense if he stayed late.

Mike laughed at Amber's horrible dancing. But still, she was trying. Mike stopped, putting his hands on his hips. "I think you need dance lessons. Will you give me permission to teach you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"U-Umm.. I-It's okay," Amber shook her head turning around and shuffling off, slipping away from him. Goosebumps, goosebumps, shivers, shivers. Gosh. Even she herself didn't understand why she was like this. She did like him, a lot in fact, but there was just something in her own mind that pulled her away. She thought that maybe it was all a joke. Just some prank.
