Sol wasn't the only one shocked into a stunned and embarrassed silence. He stared at Jeice, trying to mull over what was just said in his head. Jeice's family and his family had gotten together and had dinner? His father had agreed to going to dinner? What the hell was going on?
Looking to Sol, Fenix gave her an apologetic look, then looked back to Jeice. As he told Fenix that Sol and himself were a cute couple, Fenix grinned.
"Well," He began, lacing his fingers with Sol's. "Be that as it may, I wasn't planning on getting married anytime soon."

Jeice grinned, his long canines making him look a little creepy.
"So you admit you were going to ask her then!"
He put out his cigarette in a floating skull shaped ashtray

Fenix looked at Sol, then to Jeice, a stunned expression on his face.
"I.." He stuttered, not able to find the words his brain wanted his throat to speak. "I never said that!" He finally exclaimed, blushing furiously at this point.

Jeice grinned again.
"Not directly. You didnt know I live right next door to you did you? Well I overheard a conversation between you and someone else. Plus your face and body language totally give it away"
He picked a red bean bun from a floating tray of food and bit into it
"Besides" he said with his mouth bread and sweet bean paste
"Its pretty obvious you care a lot about her. Even a complete idiot could see that"

Fenix almost dropped Sol's hand in an effort to prove he didn't care about her. But as he let go, his hand felt cold and empty, so it found it's place right back in Sol's palm.
"Well...I...That is.." He stuttered again. Why was he getting like this? Was it because he was shy? Or, he feared, was it because he was ashamed to be in love and in a relationship with her? He didn't think so. "Well of course I care about her," He said, his voice dropping it's quivering tone and sounding more bold and sure of itself. He looked at Sol and smiled. "I couldn't imagine being with anyone else." He ended simply, not looking back to Jeice, and instead losing himself in Sol's eyes like he always seemed to do.

Jeice placed his hand on Fenix's shoulder and stuffed redbean bun into the demon's mouth
"Well put cousin, well put."

Fenix looked over at Jeice as he put his hand on his shoulder, then opened his eyes wide as the bun was shoved into his mouth. He tried to complain, but all that came out was a few crumbs and some muffled words.

" 'S good right? Thats my pa's recipe. He would make that for the whole tribe every full moon."

"Mmm-Hmm" Fenix muttered, chewing on the bun. He still couldn't speak around the bun, and was now trying to communicate using sounds and hand signals.

Jeice took a step back and laughed
"Ah, but come and sit with me by the fire and rest yourselves. You'll need it because next we party in Italia!"

She sighed still confused and blushing like non other. She occasionally looked at Fenix and smiled. She thought to herself soooooo he plans to marry me??. She still wasn't sure about that part he cared for her deeply and thats what made her happy and blush the most out of the whole conversation.

Finishing the bun, Fenix smiled.
"Yea alright," He said to Jeice. Looking over to Sol, he smiled more, noting her deep blush. "You wanna come with me?" He asked. He grinned teasingly. "Unless you can get your freak on without me." He said.

She smiled at him "Yea, I'll go with you." She giggled and squeezed his hand which were entwined with one another. She leaned against him.

Fenix grinned at Sol, squeezing her hand back. Could her and I really...? He wondered to himself, looking into her eyes. As Jeice spoke, he turned to him with a smile and playfully punched him in the arm.
"Ah, shut up." He told him, laughing softly.
