The Bacons Advocate Thanks. So how's this going to go down? Are we voting or is there a 'panel' of judges? Lol Lol, good question. I'm not completely sure yet. It will probably be voting, though. Although a panel of judges would make the process faster, but I'm probably leaning to let the people decide for this one.

Not to force you to do more work, but you might want to name/label the entries then, sweatdrop Lol, they'll be numbered when it gets to voting. We'll have several rounds with 10 per round.

Lol oh...I never watched him xD..at least not that I can remember hmm...that vid did not Post right...did you somehow view it? & yeah...I remember watching him lots...pre Elvira...like 60s...& like Elvira he simply hosted really bad scary movies with much camp & hoke. cool Wish there was better example of it though. Love that Saturday Afternoon stuff.

Uhm no offense to anyone but...if we're going to be the ones to vote...aren't we all just going to end up voting for our own entries because we want to win?
Not that I would or anything, but I know people outside this site and forum who would only enter polls to contest they're in so they can do this. If we want to have a fair contest it would have to be voted on by people who didn't enter and don't have their own victory in mind.

We've done many other contests where this was the case. Most of the time, we felt able to trust the votes weren't skewed. We do have a larger sample than usual...but breaking it down round per round helps because then there's the 50 or so people who don't have an entry in that round so they can fairly vote for people in said round. That sportsmanship thing is true. My friend who's been doing this, she would make a note about the sportsmanship--don't vote for yourself. Doesn't stop people from doing it, but can hamper it for people who wouldn't be thinking much otherwise. We can also make a note asking people to read the first page that will require them to say that they've voted, not who for, but at least that they voted to give validity to the total number of votes. That also isn't perfect, as some people don't know how to read...but if we get close, we know we're doing okay for the most part. I'd keep track of what's going on. If we do judging, that leaves a few judges to decide all these entries, which is fair and unfair. It's fair in the sense that it's automatically considered subjective anyway, but at the same time some entries may not be given the chance as if voted by a whole populace. I'll confer with my guild colleague, as she's done this before, as I still haven't made up my mind yet. (Wow, this is long, sorry)
