Tried out the demo at Target.

Not sure if it's like this in the full game, but to swing the sword, I ended up just waving around the Wii Remote in the same way I did in Twilight Princess, so right now I think implementing Motion Plus was pretty pointless.

Near the beginning you can, but if you don't learn how to fight enemies properly, you get ******** shortly after.

Seriously. As early as the Sealed Grounds, even. The Deku babas will mess you up if you don't swing the right way, as will many enemies in the first dungeon.

Why would you WANT to just waggle anyway? It's much more fun to know what you're actually doing.

Forgive me if I'm not as enthusiastic about motion controls as I once was.

I can understand that sentiment, but seriously, this is THE game to get excited about motion controls again for. What area was the demo anyway, and what enemies were there?

I wasn't really paying attention to the area, but it was a dungeon.

Honestly, I just don't care much for motion controls anymore. For every Wii game I bought this year, I bought about 4 to 5 virtual console games.

I was 75% of the way through Hero Mode [second playthrough] and then I took an arrow in the knee [my friend let me play Skyrim.]

Anyways, my current goal is to get the last 3 Heart Pieces and bust my way through [ the full Hero Mode boss rush ]

Edit: ******** THAT. I don't have the patience or the skill for that. I got my last Heart Piece, and got the ******** out. I don't need [Max Rupees] anyways.

Also, long time, no post. Heya!

Also, also: The fully upgraded Sacred/Goddess [3rd] Shield is the best, as long as you're on top of your parrying. The Hylian Shield doesn't stun Zombified Bokoblins.

I'm actually really liking this game so far. Keep in mind though, my expectations weren't very high considering I didn't really like the DS games.

I'm going to say this game is my third or fourth favorite in the series:

Top 5:
1. Ocarina of Time
2. Majora's Mask
3. Skyward Sword/Wind Waker (TIED)
5. Legend of Zelda (NES)

Gotta say, it's my favorite Zelda game. The only thing I don't like is how sometimes, when you're doing a vertical slash, the controls register your movement before you do, and you do a slash in THAT direction instead.

I like the game A LOT though.

So far Skyward Sword and Wind Waker are tied for third place. That's why there's no four for now.

I'm quite bummed that you can never fly at night.
