[FIN] Facing the Music

Of course that wouldn't be easier either, is talking about the letter was hard enough, then what would it be like to have to get the things that he left behind in his passing.
"You could probably ask Yuri to go get them... Or any of us, if you don't want to go just yet." She offered, gently. "None of us would mind."

If he wasn't ready for this, he should have to do it, not yet.
The idea of pokemon being in those storage was a good reason to get them soon though.

He shook his head, "I want to go." Not want, perhaps, but it felt like his responsibility, and he couldn't keep avoiding it much longer.

She knew how he probably meant that, that it was going to be one of the hardest thing he was going to have to do, but he needed to do it anyway.
She nodded with a gentle "Okay."

At this point Vahy'n had walked walked, meeting Rosie gaze when the blond looked up at her, and sitting down in front of them.

"Do you want to do this alone?"

He considered the question for a long time in impassive silence. It wasn't necessarily that he wanted to do it alone as much as he wanted to be able to do it alone, but he wasn't certain of that ability. At great length he gave his response, shaking his head slowly.

Another "okay." was spoken from after he had given an nonverbal reply.
She tightened her arm around his shoulder, rocking him a little once in a gentle gesture to try and get his attention, this was joined with a soft "Hey..."
She leaned her head down, not taking her eyes away from him. "Luke, You can do this..."

He drew in a long, deep breath and exhaled slowly, nodding his head once.

When he nodded, Rosie gave a small smile, lowering her hands down her sides to help push herself up to her feet, turning to Luke, and holding her hands out to help him stand.

Luke accepted the offered assistance, drawing himself to his feet and steeling himself for the task before him. "It's in Camphoreon," he recalled, trying and failing to recall the specifics. He pushed a hand into his pocket, wondering if he had remembered to extract the letter the previous night, and found that he had not. The opened envelope was regarded with some hesitation before its contents were extracted, unfolded and skimmed for the necessary information.

…don't trust Rosie's sister…

He tensed, refolding the letter hurriedly, "Near the pokemon center." Rosie didn't know about Faleen, or at least she had been perfectly happy and enthusiastic about the prospects of seeing her when talking about the competition in Kanto. But did she want to know? He remembered discovering that a Rocket was his brother and the immense anger and guilt that had come with it, but it had been none other than Rosie who had told him that the actions of his family didn't define himself. But this was different; Faleen was her beloved sister, and Team Rocket was her detested enemy. And Luke just wasn't sure if he had the right - or even the strength of will - to share that kind of information.

"Okay." She said, when he mentioned where it would be, as he pulled out the letter to probably get a specific location Rosie turned to face the field where the pokemon are.
Holding her arms up and waving them to get their attention, reaching to her belt to pull out some of the balls as they made their way over.

Perdy was the first one back, landing with a gust of wind from his wings a few feet from the trainers, puffing up and looking over at Luke


Rosie couldn't help but smile, once again Perdy and his habit of not being able to comprehend that humans can't understand him, He always seemed to be more like this toward Luke too.

Well, maybe he was worrying too much. Rockets weren't all necessarily bad people. Maybe her sister had just gotten caught up the same way Asch had, and now she was trapped there. That wasn't exactly pleasant to think about either, though…

Luke was drawn from his thoughts by a Pidgeot's conversational cries, and he looked up at Perdy in a momentary surprise before raising a hand in greeting, returning the letter to his pocket for later reference. He directed his attention to Mieu as the Flareon approached and placed himself at his trainer's side, waiting expectantly for an indication of their next move, since they appeared to be getting ready to change location.

Completely oblivious to the thoughts going through her friend's mind, Rosie continued to gather her pokemon, making sure they were all there before she started returning them to their balls.

Perdy greeted back, his head twitching to the side, curiously as he hopped over to take a look at what Luke was looking at, before it was put back into the boy's pocket. Perdy pulled himself back up to full height, glancing back over at Rosie.

Rosie reached a hand up to Perdy as she walked over, petting his beak. "We can walk, its not far, or we can ride."
Perdy let out a chirp.
"Or fly." Rosie added.

"Walking's probably fine," he replied at a low volume, rubbing idly at the back of his head.

Perdy flapped his wings a little, drooping his head in disappointment at Luke's choice.

"Awww" Rosie chimed at him, just smiling and reaching up to pat his head. "Its okay Perdy, Flying would be great but I think we would like to walk, humans need to stretch their legs too you know." She looked over at Luke.

Perdy rolled his head, fluffing out his feathers and straightening up. The bird clicked his beak, but gave the two a soft look, letting Rosie return him into his ball.

"I think he's happy to see you again." Rosie noted, talking a few steps backwards to start their walk, but still facing him

"Sorry, Perdy," he said, shrugging lightly and wearing a gentle expression, "maybe later though." He gestured to Mieu to follow as he moved to walk alongside Rosie, the Flareon complying without delay. Luke nodded in response to Rosie's observation, having noticed as much himself. "It's been a while," he added, trying and failing to think back to the last time he had seen the Pidgeot.

Rosie glanced down, making sure all of the balls were securely on her hip, aside from Vahy'n who was left out, watching smoothly beside Luke.
Once Luke caught up though, Rosie spun to face the right direction.
"Yeah, but that's understandable."

It wasn't very often they were in an aria where a giant bird would fit, let alone half of her team.
"Gosh, last time we worked on flying together was it?" She arched her eyebrows, remembering that was also when they ran into those two rockets in the woods.
"Hm~" She left it at that, knowing he would remember.

Folding her hands in front of her, a soft humming tune rising from her as she kept in stride with Luke, happy that he chose to walk, it was a nice cool morning, and maybe he would have some time between now and when he got to the storage.
