Jace/Dove and Hen

"Yeah, definitely lame," Flynn agreed with Jace, unable to hold back a grin.

However, Flynn looked a bit surprised as Dove suddenly decided to show up and was putting her arms around Yuri.

Yuri himself saw her coming out of the corner of his eye and paused to look over at her. His eyes widening a little at the touch but smirk spread across his face.

"Are you offering?" he teased back.

Flynn smiled at the exchange before looking back to Henrietta to answer her question. "I do have two," he told her. "A Rapidash and a Glaceon."

Jace grinned as Flynn agreed, then listened to the exchange between him and Henrietta. "Whoa! A glaceon! And a rapidash! Do they fight with you? With your swords?" Obviously, Flynn was one of the coolest people ever, even if his confused face was really funny and made the boy giggle, especially as Henrietta leaned over to whisper to him. "Ooooooh..."

While Lovey eagerly jumped toward Henrietta as she knelt to pet her, Dove just grinned and stayed close, even as Yuri looked to her, scrunching her nose a little as she laughed. After a few more seconds of her smile, she let him go, and gave him his room, glancing to the rings in his hand. "I don't know... Win me the walord and we'll talk," she joked, nodding to the massive stuffed Pokedoll before running a hand through the ends of his hair before stepping away to pull her phone from her hip.

Oh. After a pause, she sent a text back. [Volleyball is fun! I'm watching some friends play ringtoss now. Are you staying for the fireworks?] That done, se tucked it away gain, and looked to Flynn and Henrietta. "Hey guys! What's up?"

Dove, Jace, Flynn, Yuri

"Oh man! Fire and ice?! That's awesome!" Her other questions seemed to be mostly covered by Jace and so Henrietta hung on for the answers.

She was smirk-grinning as she watched Dove and Yuri interact; sure the words would indicate that they /hadn't/ been a couple yet though, but to her young mind, the subject of the words at that moment were important and seemed to be 'proving her right' in her suspicions of the two of them being boyfriend and girlfriend.
She was petting Lovey happily and grinned back at Dove as she and Flynn were addressed.
"Me and Jace and Gummy and Chester and Winglet are all gonna team up and battle later! And he," she pointed at Flynn "is Yuri's army friend with swords and pokémon too!" She paused for a microsecond, as if considering what else she could tell Dove about. "Oh! And we got popcorn!" She pointed at Chester's bag and then held up her own too.

Gummy's jaws snapped open and shut, possibly at the word 'popcorn'.

Jace/Dove, Henrietta

Flynn laughed lightly at Jace's enthusiastic questions. "Well, I use my Rapidash mostly for transportation but he can fight, and so can my Glaceon."

Yuri meanwhile, gave Dove a look before turning his attention back to the ring toss game. All right. Challenge accepted. Again he carefully aimed, being sure to hold the ring at a certain height before flicking his wrist. The ring caught the lip of one of the bottles but went tumbling off the table as well.

When Dove addressed them, Henrietta didn't seem to waste a moment as she started talking. The blonde grinning when she pointed him out.

"Good evening, Miss Dove," he said politely.

Jace's eyes widened a little at Henrietta's speculations. "Whoa! I bet they're an awesome team!" he told Flynn, almost bouncing on the balls of his feet. "Riding a rapidash sounds so cool!"

Yuri's look earned him a raised brow, then a laugh as he leaned back into his game, before her own attention was turned to Henrietta as she launched into a tere liking of the day's events thus far. "Oh wow! That sounds like it'll be a fantastic battle! I'll have to come watch, for sure," she smiled, before looking to Flynn for his greeting. "Good evening yourself Flynn." Her smile softened, and she wrapped her arms loosely over her midsection. "Making friends everywhere, aren't you?" The blonde did seem like the type to make friends easily. He was excellent company, too.

"And I'll have to bet you're Jace, right?" she asked the boy, looking to his Charmander as she bent a little, one of her hands moving up to her chest to keep the loose flowing shirt from slipping. "And this is Chester?"

The boy blinked at her, forgetting his words for a moment, before he nodded and blushed furiously. She had pretty hair, like that one girl, Nicolette did... "Yeah! I'm Jace and Chester is my Charmander and Henietta is my friend!" . That said, he turned to watch Yuri as the man attempted to ringtoss. "Are you friends with all them, too?"

Jace, Flynn, Yuri, Dove

"Riding a Rapidash sounds totally cool!" Henrietta agreed with Jace; aside from, perhaps, Rosie, she didn't meet too many people who actually used their horse pokémon for both transport and battling. Or people she could think of, anyway.

"You better!" She told Dove enthusiastically when the woman promised to come and watch their battle. She grinned as Jace spoke up and nodded to confirm what he said, adding "And we're totally gonna win and be unbeatable as a tag team!"

Flynn just smile at the two children, then looked to Dove once more. "Yes, I suppose I am." And making new friends was certainly not something he minded.

With the attention off him now, Yuri was able to focus better on the ring toss. Again he took his stance, and held the ring about an inch higher than the bottles. And with another flick of his wrist, he tossed it.

The ring whizzed through the air, caught the edge of one of the bottles and slid down the neck where it rested.

"Ha!" he announced in triumph, quickly gaining the blonde's attention as he stared in disbelief. ... Welp. Yuri managed to one-up him after all.

"We have a winner!" announced the girl who was running the game.

A smile was flashed to the blonde man, then the girl turned her attention to the younger boy.

Dove smiled gently at Jace's question, and nodded a little. "You could say that," she told him, offering her hand for a 'very serious' handshake. "I'm Dove! It's nice to meet you, Jace."

Jace smiled back, then took her hand to return the handshake, his cheeks pink, before he looked to Henrietta. "Yeah! Should we go there now?" Maybe it wouldn't hurt to at least go check things out, especially if they wanted to tag team battle. It was definitely reassuring to know that he wouldn't be alone in it.

At that moment, Yuri gave a small triumphant shout, and both Dove's and Jace's eyes turned to him as the girl announced he had won. Straightening, Dove moved over toward Flynn, shaking her head fondly as she stifled a laugh.

Jace only laughed at Flynn's expression. "Good job, Yuri!"

"Awesome!" Henrietta exclaimed, as she heard the woman running the stall announce Yuri's win. She, also, hadn't missed the exchange from before...
"So /now/ you're totally gonna talk boyfriend and girlfriend right?!" She didn't entirely get the concept- apparently the winning of a Wailord toy was an invitation among adults to begin relationship talks? Well, she totally didn't want a boyfriend, so she'd keep that in mind and stay away from giftings of Wailord... She was kind of grinning/kind of pulling an uncertain face at the whole idea; it /was/ interesting but icky.

The idea of going off to battle though, of course, grabbed her attention away from any other thoughts immediately. Pokémon battling was totally what she lived for and she'd never gotten to tag team before.
"Oh, yeah! We totally should!" She bounced, replying to Jace "We probably gotta register we're gonna battle first or something too so we totally oughta get there as soon as we can!"

Jace/Dove, Hen

Yuri pointed out the large Wailord plush which when the lady behind the counter asked what he wanted. The thing looked to be at least five feet long. It was massive. But then most of the prizes at this booth were as it was a difficult game to win.

"Whoa, cool your jets there, champ." Yuri told Hen as she seemed way too eager to have him and Dove discuss... relationships.

The lady working the booth pushed some other plushes out of the way and pulled a small round moon looking plush out of the way. Before she could put it down though, the "plush" turned around in her hands, looking at her with a hideous face. "Puuuuuuff" it bellowed.

The lady then screamed and dropped the object of her horror. Which bounced a couple times on the ground before jumping up onto the counter. "Puuuuuuff!" His large cavernous eyes then turning to a familiar looking lady nearby.

(Hen, Yuri/Flynn)

Jace's face scrunched up as Henrietta seemed to press Yuri about this girl he had just met, who only giggled harder as Yuri pointed out the silly, sparkly Wailord she had teasingly asked for, her cheeks flushing bright, bright pink as the younger girl trainer rambled on. She had only been teasing, and yet found herself to be a little more embarrassed than she had expected. "Oh, I don't know that I'm good enough for him, Hen..." she joked, tucking her hair back behind her ear and shifting the budew on her shoulder.

The young boy let out a soft "Yuck," and a laugh to Henrietta, and was about to agree and suggest they go right then to the arenas, until the woman behind the counter shrieked. His head jerked toward the counter again, and he rushed forward to see what it was, until the girl--Dove, he corrected-- stepped forward, shooting an apologetic look to the woman and shaking her head, as she turned to smile brightly at the strange pokemon, opening her arms a little to it. "Don't worry, he won't hurt you!" The jigglypuff was terrifying to look at, but she knew from experience that it was actually rather kind and very misunderstood.

Jace only blinked at the woman, and backed away from both her and the jigglypuff that had appeared, his eyes wide. Was she crazy?!

Dove, Jace, Yuri, Flynn, Moonpuff

The sparkly Wailord was kind of fru-fru being all sparkly, but if Dove liked it, Henrietta wasn't going to comment on the fact.
She /did/ pull a face at Dove's reply; looking kind of puzzled at the strange concept.
"I don't get it..." She shrugged; how could people be 'not good enough' for each other? It seemed weird. "Hey, when'd you get a Budew?!" The movement of hair had unveiled the little pokémon to Henrietta and she grinned at it, not realising it was the 'Ditto' she'd met before now.
She let out a snort-giggle at Jace's yuck...
And then there was shrieking.
What? Was it Rockets?!
"Gummy!" She called, wanting to make sure he was ready to battle... Only to see Dove suddenly approaching a tiny grinning... uh...
That was no moon.
"Wow! What is that?!" Her face was changing from shock to excited curiosity as she peered at the grinning Jigglypuff. Unlike Jace, she tried to move closer to it, to get a better look; if she'd remembered she had it, she might have checked her 'dex. "It looks so cool!"

"Puuuuufff, Jiiigglypufff," the creature bellowed again before it started waddling over towards Dove.

"That's a good question," Yuri remarked to Jace's... well... question. He had no idea what it was, and judging from the expression on Flynn's face, he didn't either.

The woman behind the counter had a rather disturbed expression on her face, but now that the thing was moving away from her she was able to get the Wailord down and passed it to Yuri. Taking the gargantuan plush, he held it over his head.

"Hey, if you want this thing, you can have it," Yuri said towards Dove. He had no need for giant sized stuffed animals after all.

Henrietta, Yuri/Flynn, Moonpuff

Jace hung back from the group, watching the thing with huge, widened eyes. So it was a Jigglypuff... Chester, noting his young charge's distress, stepped up next to the boy, leaning over with a quiet "chaaar". The other pokemon was creepy, sure, but it didn't seem to be attacking anyone...

In fact, as it moved toward Dove, she stepped even closer and reached out to run her hand over the top of its head, her smile bright as she tried to ignore the negative reactions around her. The poor thing didn't need it. "Oh, It's not a budew, Henrietta," she corrected with a wink, still petting the jigglypuff so long as he allowed it. She was still wary of telling the girl about the legendary, but at least what she had said hadn't been a lie. As the younger girl asked about the pokemon on the counter, she smiled over to her. "It's a jigglypuff! He's a....very unique, jigglypuff, but he's very friendly...aren't you?" she said, the last bit directed back to the pokemon before she turned to look at Yuri, barely able to stifle a giggle as he held the sparkling, sequined Wailord over his head. "Are you sure?" she asked, her face turning a bit pink. She had never had a man--or boy, in her past-- offer a stuffed animal, and as the romantic she was, the cliche was almost embarrassing--but sweet, Ben if it was a joke. Plus, she reasoned that Yuri really had no place for it anyway. "It's so..." A giggle escaped her, preventing her from finishing her jest smoothly, though it was very, very clearly a joke. "You."

Dove, Jace, Yuri, Flynn, Moonpuff

"Oooh! Hey little Ditto!" Henrietta greeted, understanding (though without the whole truth) what Dove meant about her Budew.
"Man, that's a Jigglypuff? He looks so awesome! Are you sure he's not some kinda Geodude?!" Whatever he was, the Moonpuff, did look very cool once you got over the initial shock of his sudden appearance.
"Gummy! Gummy! Come say hi!" The girl called to her pokémon, eager at the chance for him to make another friend, and then looked back at Jace, with a beaming smile.
"Isn't this the coolest?! Look at his eyes! Awesome!"

She gave a look between Yuri and Dove as they seemed to be teasing each other about the Wailord toy; adults could be so weird, and she aimed a look at Flynn, to see if she could tell, from his reaction, if this was just adult normality... She couldn't help but find herself giggling, instead, though, at the look he had for the Moonpuff.
Man, adults really could be weird; this Moon thing was /so/ cool!

Gummy took a few steps forward as Henrietta bid him to come and meet the Jigglypuff ahead. He looked toward the new pokémon with all the enthusiasm of an unplugged toaster, then opened his mouth and closed it slowly.
