Her response renewed his smile, small and pensive but warm nonetheless. On a reflexive reaction, he dipped his head forward, bringing his lips to hers in a gentle, momentary kiss. The full implications of this simple reflex only occurred to him when he straightened and attempted to meet her gaze again, a sudden discomposure perfectly preventing him from doing so.

She was already completely elated with the affection he had showed her, heck, just hearing him reciprocate her feelings was enough for her, and she would be delighted forever.
Rosie smiled shyly back at Luke's softer smile, reaching up to brush the tips of her hair away from her chin just ask Luke brushed in closer again.
Her breath caught in her chest in the instant before the brief softness of his lips against hers left her sitting bundled in the blanket he had put over their shoulders in stunned silence, completely unaware of anything for a few stretched seconds.

The feeling of the kiss still lingered on her lips; her heart beat harder in her chest leaving her in need to remember to breathe.
He just kissed her- That had been her first kiss.

A series of rapid breaths drew her to focus on Luke again, his eyes turned away from her, though she didn’t take hers off of him.
With a slight gasp, the blond made and attempt to move or speak, only succeeding on the third try.
“Luke?” Freeing herself from the blanket she had been huddled in, the young trainer leaned toward the red head.
“Can… Can you do that one more time?” She asked in a timid somewhat awkward tone, as if she wasn't sure if she was asking the right question. Though she didn't look away from him once. made easier maybe by the fact that he wasn't looking back.

Worries about the future and regrets about the past were effectively eradicated along with any other concrete thoughts, leaving in their wake nothing but pure feeling - warmth and gratitude and serenity and plain, feverish mirth. The sound of his name on her voice brought his mind closer to focus, and the stiffness of his posture relaxed with an exhaled breath. In answer to her question, he gave her his attention, closing the distance that she had already shortened in compliance with her request. He wasn't yet convinced that he wouldn't just suddenly wake up, but if he did then it would be with memories of the best dream.

Amateur, maybe a bit clumsy, but Rosie didn't notice any of, trying not to fall into him at first when when he answered her positively.
She could only feel the overwhelming happiness that came with his presence, and everything that the the closeness of his proximity brought; the warmth of his lips, the gentle brushing of his hair, and the touch of his hand as her fingers closed around his.
This was... much nicer than Rosie had ever imagined it would be, though she imagined it had everything to do with the fact that she got to be close to the person she loved, and that he loved her back.
She would hover in this state of bliss forever if she could.

A kiss, as Luke had always understood it, was a sign of affection, an unspoken wish to grant happiness to someone else. That understanding was far too simple; it was warmth and breath and scent, sensation upon sensation, so tender it was dizzying, so close it was blinding. It was loving and being loved, erasing ages of doubt and confusion and restraint and replacing them with pure, unhindered devotion. He shifted to place his forehead against hers, letting the tip of his nose brush against the tip of hers, his lips near enough that it would take just a slight tilt of the head would restore contact if either decided the distance was too great. "I don't think I could ever tell you how glad I am that I met you."

"You don't need to." came her breathless reply, her eyes, that had been previously closed in order to soak up his affection opened, the gentle smile she wasn't able to chase from her lips growing further as she sweetly caressed another kiss from him.
"I already know- I've felt the same way about you."

Her smile transferred to him easily through the touch of their lips, warm and soft with her response. He relaxed lightly against her, closing his eyes and filling his senses. The blissful silence was impeded by the soft patter of falling rain, muffled by window, wall, and curtain, and the sound reminded him of the hour. He hummed faintly, "I'd say you should try and get some sleep before morning rolls around," his hand in hers tightened gently, "but I also don't want to let go of you."

"Mmm-" she hummed lightly, it almost seemed as if she didn't hear him, as she just sat with him, her forehead against his, in response her fingers gently caressing his a following reply showing that she had in fact heard him;
"Please don't."

He was probably right, she should probably get some sleep, though who knew how much she would get, and not just end up laying awake with a racing heart and buzzing mind.
No, right now, all she wanted to do was be here, with Luke for as long as she could.

He hardly needed anymore encouragement than that. A faint nod answered her response; he would remain for as long as he was permitted.

She let out a content breath at his nod, rounding her shoulders happily. It might be storming outside, but it might as well be sunny in the dimly lit room with how happy the very air felt.
Leaning in she settled against him, dipping her head against his shoulder with a gentle; "Thank you."
