[FIN] Tales of (not quite so much) Joy

Henrietta grinned.
"Thanks!" And wandered after Jace and Flynn, looking about at all the flowers. She sniffed a little, suppressed a sneeze, and then leaned in to 'ooh' at some bright blue flowers, with little white stripes.

She then wandered to where Jace stood near the roses.
"Yeah! We gotta get roses!" She nodded, in agreement- after what they'd just been talking about, she felt like it would be wrong not to get roses; they seemed very important...
But colours were important too...
"Can you get green roses?" She wondered, thinking of the 'get well' message.

Bistra waggled her wings at Dawn, fluttered up a way, and then landed back on Hen's head.

"I like this one!" Jace declared, stretching to reach a full, deep red rose at the top of a bundle, nearly knocking it over in the process. "Oooh! And this one " he added, reaching up for another full white one.

It didn't take long for the florist to join them by the roses. "Well I don't have many but I do have a few green roses. They're a bit hard to come by." Which meant they were pricier. She pulled out about a half dozen of the pale green blooms, showing them to Henrietta.

The lady then reached over to catch one of the containers when Jace nearly knocked it over. Seemed she was use to this.

"You have a good eye there young man."

Flynn just smiled and looked thoughtfully at some of the roses also.

"Ooh! Yeah! Those ones are good!" Henrietta agreed with Jace, shaking Bistra a little as she nodded her head, then watched as the florist joined them to catch what Jace knocked and to show them the green roses.
"Ooooh!" She had never seen green flowers before- green plants, sure, and green pokémon, but the flowers themselves never seemed very green... "Yeah! We totally gotta get some of those for both of them!"

A red blush crept across the boy's face as the florist caught the container. "Sorry," he apologized sheepishly with a little smile. "Oh! And thanks! I like these ones best," he told the lady, holding up the two big roses he had found. At least, when it came to roses, he thought.

"Alright, is there anything else? And would you like a vase for them?" The Florist asked of the boy and girl both.  

[Gwennythe]

Wait, a vase? Oh, they should probably get a vase!
"Um. We wanna get some yellow ones and some pink ones too! And yep, we'll need vases cuz otherwise the flowers won't stand up right? My mom always puts flowers in vases so I bet we definitely need those..."

"Oh, yeah, I guess we gotta get that too..." he allowed, looking back at Henrietta. Would they have enough money...? The grown ups had taken care of him so far, but he didn't want to spend all of it just yet...

Thinking quickly, he went to the blonde and tugged his sleeve. "Mr. Flynn, how much are they gonna be?" he asked in hushed tones. Even with the two vases of flowers for their friends, that wasn't all he intended to get...

While the florist started gathering up the flowers, Flynn leaned down as Jace whispered to him.

"How about you pay two pay as much as much as you can and I'll take care of the rest. That way they'll be from all three of us, right?"

Henrietta nodded firmly, with a smile, and then, like Jace, started thinking about cost.
She wasn't too worried; the girl was checking her balance, but she hardly spent anything outside of pokémon items and food. How expensive could flowers actually be? She really had no idea...

With an affirmative bob of his head and a quiet 'okay!' The boy went to the flower woman and gave her the two roses he had picked out, then dug a little wallet from his pokcet. "Yeah, we'll do it that way. All three of us can get them for them!"

"Which vase did you want these in?" The florist asked Jace as she began to make two arrangements in two cases with green, yellow and pink roses. Snipping the long stems and placing them in the water along with some baby's breath and fern.

Flynn also pulled out his wallet and leaned against the counter, waiting to pay.

Henrietta stepped forward, watching with some fascination as the florist worked.
It wasn't pokémon battling, but it was very interesting- she liked watching the bunches come together, and there seemed to be a lot more to it than she'd thought.

Flowers looked cool too.
Well, she could never be a florist; pokémon were just too cool! But maybe she'd do it as a hobby or something, if she ever found time from being awesome in other ways...

"Yeah; it's fair and it's more nice like that!" Henrietta agreed, ready to count out the price and pay too.

Jace considered the selection of vases a moment, then pointed to the two simplest ones, then looked questioningly at the other two for approval. He liked those best. "Are those good?"

The arrangement if the flowers was good, and he watched, captivated by how the woman worked so smoothly.

"Yes those are fine but I meant where did you want your two roses," the woman clarified, setting them aside as she waited for his decision while totaling the price. Which ended up being well over $100 for the pair of vases with a dozen roses each.
