She couldn't belive she fell for this again? Like anything he was doing made any difference, like the effort she put forward was making any difference on him at all. This was a favor to him, coming out here, and he was still trying to get away for who knows what reason.
This just showed he he wasn't ready yet, not even close.

The Agent watched with a flushed face as Zoroark escorted Izaya out of the apartment, the Agent turning to the women who's place she was still in.
"You are owed an apology for my partner's behavior today." She told the women.

The girl's look would indeed be seen by the Rocket grunt, who would return it with the cheeky response of sticking out his tongue at her. What this was to mean was anyone's guess. Perhaps it was simply a playful acknowledgement or maybe show of contempt, but he gave no other indication as to his intention by it as he left with the false Faleen.

"I certainly am," she agreed sharply, "but not from yourself. Unfortunately, I have no faith that the individual who owes the apology has any intention to give it."

"Perhaps not..." Faleen agreed, glancing over tot he door the two had left out of before turning back to the darker skinned women.

Banette floated down closer to his trainer's shoulder, long limp arms dangling beside him as bright eyes studied the other women closely.
"His actual intentions today set aside, and since I wasn't familiar with what he was trying to accomplish with you in the first place, I hope you would allow me a moment to try and clear some things up. Did you have an interest in joining Team Rocket? is this why he chose to come here rather then somewhere else?"

"Today is the first I've considered the possibility," she replied, her tone mellowing as she allowed her indignation to abate for the sake of civil conversation. "I honestly am not sure why he came to me and not someone else. Our relationship was as client and professional - I utilized his services to obtain information for use in various frauds and other illegal activities. That relationship ended a few years ago when he stopped serving as an informant. I've never spoken to him regarding anything relating to Team Rocket."

Ah dear, Izaya sure made a mess out of this one. But still, maybe there was a way Faleen could salvage this, from what Faleen could tell already the girl had experience in the same line of work that Izaya did, and was not only able to recognize Izaya's Zoroark trick without even knowing Izaya had a Zoroark, but had a point to mention that she had worked on a particular skill with her own Zoroark.
"Ah, I see." She let out a light sigh. "Well, I want to say he didn't just pick you at random, just from the little I've seen you seem quite ideal for the kind of people we value on the team."

Something in the woman's phrasing was appealing, and she supposed it was most likely her use of the word 'team.' It shouldn't have come as any surprise given that the name of the organization was Team Rocket, but that was just an identity, after all; just because a group of people identified itself as a team by name didn't necessarily mean that the individuals would identify themselves as teammates. She supposed, to a degree, she missed that feeling of interconnectedness. Dealing information was a fulfilling use of her skills, occupied her time, and sustained her livelihood, but it carried an inherent feeling of isolation and distance.

"Because I don't deal in matters of relation to Team Rocket," she said, "most of what I know about it comes from what news is propagated by the media. I understand that matters such as these typically come with a great deal of confidentiality, but is there any additional information you can disclose? Izaya's explanation came off very much like a... commercial, rather than anything sincere."

Interest with caution, after all, was folly.

"I'll admit I don't tend to pay very close attention to what the media says about our activities." a light furrow of her brow. "Its never had an impact on our tasks, though me personally less so."
She didn't see the use of hearing what other people said about them, she knew what they must be saying and she didn't care.
"As for information, I'm not sure exactly what you would like to know. I joined for my own reasons, as did a lot of our team mates, there isn't really much commercial-esc about it, its a lot of work, it challenges you to improve and being able to work with others in a quickly changing situation and environment is essential."

Faleen paused, glancing over at her Banette for a couple of seconds. She wasn't sure how she was making this sound, she knew to her thats what she considered appealing, but she knew other people didn't always have the same kind of mentality she did.
"Hm... you'll need to forgive me, I am not usually on the recruitment end."

She laced her fingers together loosely in her lap, listening in consideration and nodding in brief dismissal of her amendment; if nothing else, it was obvious that this woman had not expected nor prepared for this sort of conversation.

"If I may posit something of a hypothetical situation," the girl began, "take for example an individual who became accustomed to illegal undertakings amidst a group of people who were friends and trusted allies. They utilized one another's skills and knowledge to accomplish various pursuits, performing together with the efficiency of a well-oiled machine. Do you imagine that an individual who felt fulfilled in this environment would find similar fulfillment in your ranks?"

Faleen blinked, moving her hands to fold her gloved fingers behind her back with a light incline of her head as the girl posed the question
"I would be inclined to ask if it was Team Rocket you were actually talking about." She said.
"Granted, there are individuals who have difficult in a team setting."
She paused with a pointed look to the door "Some prove their worth in different ways, But if we're not on the same page, we wouldn't get anything done. Having a natural ability to work in teams gives you an edge in the organization... if I'm honest."

"Then I assume I shouldn't take Izaya to be representative of the overall attitude and direction of the organization," she ventured, dubious.

Faleen's hand moved up, rubbing at her forehead lightly with a brief sigh.
"No." She finally said in admittance. "He hasn't grasped an understanding yet."

She was somewhat curious what Izaya had been doing for the last few years if he had been absent from the city, assuming his inability to assimilate with the organization to be the result of his recent joining. The question was off topic and irrelevant, though, and there was no guarantee that the woman would know the answer anyway.

"If I were to agree, what would be the process from that point forward?" she asked. "Were I to express my interest, would I return to your base as a passenger forthwith, or are recruits given some manner of grace period to make necessary arrangements and prepare personal possessions?" Her laptop housed quite a bit of important material, and that was to say nothing of her collection of notebooks.

At the question Faleen had to pause, opening her mouth as if to answer, but closed it with a thoughtful look on her face,
"Hmm... It has been sometime, through I believe a check is run on potential recruits before hand that usually takes a couple of days. So you would have time to get your things in order. Or if you choose to wait at the base for the check, that is an option too."
that was what she had opted for, as she had walked into Team Rocket with the belongings on get person.

"I see..." A couple of days... If she were being honest, she would have liked that long to decide whether or not she wanted to accept the offer. She wasn't so special that she expected the organization to patiently wait for her decision; it very much felt like a now or never opportunity, especially knowing that her enlistment had not been Izaya's true goal and that Faleen seeing the whim through was essentially happenstance.

"...Very well," she said at length. "I would appreciate it if you would submit my name." If nothing else, she could use her couple of days to persuade herself that she would have taken this path anyway if she had had a satisfactory amount of time to consider it.
