Ivonne was speeding down the highway on her motorcycle till her phone rang, when she reached a red light she tapped the Bluetooth in her ear. To no surprise it was Akuro "Ivonne, I hope you're day has been well. I was wondering if you were contacted by any of the others for your services in New York? If not, I would like to extend an invitation, I have a feeling it would be entertaining." he said.
She chuckled a bit " You can say my day was quite interesting, but no I haven't been contacted by anyone yet." she said thinking a moment on the rest when she noticed the light had turn green. She took her foot of the road and begin speeding down the highway. "Sure, sounds fun. Want to meet somewhere?" she said as she screeches to a halt in front of her apartment.

||Akuro Spade|| ||Location; Paris, France-mid Atlantic|| ||Company; Guards, 'Chana'|| ||OOC; Would anyone have an issue with me having Akuro introduce some basic mechs? Nothing too big or grand.|| "Glad to hear it. I'll be there in a few hours and have a little presentation to do at the market. I'll be showcasing some of our new toys so I'd like your presence to deter twitchy hands. Have a nice day." he shut the phone and the jet nudged forward. His jet was faster than normal private jets, so it would make the trip in under four hours. Another advantage of being in connection with renegade engineers. Those same connections allowed his company to create more advanced weaponry such as the Barrus rifles, or the new Scorpion assault rifle. While his companies developed some of the best technology, it was rivaled by other high-tech companies. To gain an edge over those other companies, he enlisted the service of activists. Weapons such as the Barrus whos abilities couldn't be truly tested on a firing range were tested in the field by those contacts. Of course the design was always changed once the results were in to prevent linking the weapons to any of Akuro's company. Mostly the markings, components and some minor design changes were enough to throw off accusations. Yakigima Heavy Industry's products were a bit easier to be rid of as he rarely gave out one or two of their new designs. The jet and cabin reached stable speed, allowing for easy movement about the cabin. It was then Akuro decided to have his dinner, along with his Chardonnay. He also tuned the TV on to see for any reports regarding the UN declaration, only to find many news channels debating the incident. If Roberts was sanctioned by the Un, the rest of the council might be pleased, although Akuro had no care for either verdict. Of course if he was sanctioned, his PMCs wouldn't received as much action by UN, but then the UN would be increasing their influence. If not, things continued as they were only with more doubts against Roberts. Akuro's industry strived on conflict, and if Roberts and his PMCs were taken away from the spotlight, he'd lose some business. Akuro had a belief on conflict in the world, and unlike the hypocritical pacifist Roberts, believed humans would be continuously creating conflict because of their nature. That and no just wants to get along. Although if he spoke that to his clients, he'd only receive some laughs. Mercenaries and activists were good for testing weapons, not so well for discussing personal philosophy. Akuro finished the last bite of his steak, cleaned his mouth, picked up his wine glass and leaned back in the seat to continue watching the new programs.

Julia smiled at Vincent when he returned. She had earbuds in her ears and was listening to a tape on her Walkman. She found old devices to be very fascinating. "Are you alright Mr. Roberts." Julia looked him over. There seemed to be something off with him that wasn't before but Julia couldn't put her finger on it.

Vincent turned and looked at Julia, a little surprised she was still awake. "Oh, Julia. Thought you'd fallen asleep. I'm fine though, perfectly fine." He said with a bit of forced pleasantness. Vincent could act, but some things were a little harder to hide than others. "I just thought I saw a ghost actually. Silly, I don't even believe in them, yet they scare me to death for some reason!" This wasn't entirely a lie itself, but it also was a bit of a red herring, or an attempt at one, which could hardly be viewed as 'truthy' in and of itself. He sat back to relax a bit more, and found himself going in and out of sleep. Vincent was a poor sleeper usually when it came to travel.
When he found himself more awake a few hours later, the plane was beginning it's descent to New York City. He was pleased to see it in a sense, but when he saw the UN building come into view, he couldn't help but feel a sense of internal tension rising in him. This was going to be a show down of sorts, between him and the UN most people thought it seemed. But that wasn't even half the story... Things are going to start changing quite rapidly.
Not long later, the plane had touched down on the tarmac, Vincent and those accompanying him exited the plane, and they made their way through airport security. The guards did not seem particularly keen on him, or Julia it seemed (anything metal is cause to put these fellows off he supposed). When they were done, Vincent made his way to the lobby with everyone else, and took a brief pause. "Well Julia, here's hoping I don't get shot or something." He said with a smirk. "Are you still in need of a ride? I have time to take you to your lab if you need."

"Hrmmm." Julia suspected something was up but decided to drop it and go with his stated claim. "They say ghosts are the result of unresolved trauma. But perhaps its not the ghost who is traumatized but the person seeing it." Julia kept rambling on until she realized Vincent was asleep. "I guess being you is just a tiring existence." Julia sat back in her chair and continued to listen to her Walkman.
One the two dropped down in the city Julia smiled. "Home sweet home." She said with a smile. She had to take her arm off to get through security. When Vincent asked her if she needed a ride Julia shook her head. "No. You never drive in New York. But I am sure you will figure out why soon." She began to walk away. "Have fun diving into the dragons den. Don't get too burnt."

(OOC: Sorry for the time skip. xp Figured we should get things moving more quickly for everyone though, so I didn't want to spend too much time on the plane. xd )
Vincent smiled and nodded at Julia, though he soon started to recall why driving in New York City wasn't a great idea. He started to shudder a little. Her last comment to him made him smirk a bit. "I'll be sure and keep an eye on that, meanwhile you ought to be careful with that fire you're carrying, Prometheus." He said this in a sort of teasing matter, assuming she (as a scientist) would catch the reference. Vincent nodded to his assistants, and they began their walk to the Maybach they had waiting for them here. Once they were inside, the long, arduous journey of New York driving began.
After a long drive, Vincent's car finally pulled up to the Ritz Carlton, his personal favorite when it came to hotel franchises. He had mixed feelings on whether it was right to spend so much money on it, but on the other hand, most of his money was going straight back into fixing the world, so perhaps he shouldn't worry about treating himself. Still, he knew it would nag him a little. After he got a room rented, he went straight up and began making phone calls about clothing. In an hour or two later, he had someone arrive with a fair looking leather jacket, with a torso length that ended at the hips. There was also a polo shirt, a black pair of jeans, black sneakers, and other various things he would need. He paid, dressed, and waited for the pickup of his suit. Once that too was out of the way, and once someone brought him up a bottle of Dr Pepper, he decided to make himself busy with the town.
Leaving the Ritz, Vincent started walking down the streets of New York. He wasn't too concerned about getting lost, since he had a cell phone, and these days that basically meant GPS too. Along with that, he had little concern of being attacked. No one would be stupid enough to attack him now of all times, it could only end in disaster for them. Plus, he had his own, more personal 'body guard', a Walther PPK with a 6 round clip, tucked into a shoulder holster. He would have gone with a P.38, but it would have been to bulky, so there wasn't much point. He certainly got a lot of looks as he walked by people, those who managed to recognize him. Some of those looks were good, some were bad, but all of them seemed to show some kind of interest (those who knew him at least). It was good to know he wasn't entirely boring it seemed.

"You're more like Prometheus than I." Julia said as he left. She walked down the streets of the city. It was so filled with people. Even more so with whoever wanted to get a glimpse of Roberts during the UN meeting. "Word travels fast when you're so important." Julia made it back to her lab only to find a bunch of protesters in front of it. Did they not know that she was in Europe? "Hellloooo!" She shouted to them as she pushed bast some of the protesters to make it to the front door. The response was both amusing and kind of loud. They had so many signs and so many slogans. "Shouldn't you be doing something more productive. Literally anything else." Julia taunted as they began to get up in her face. When they got to close Julia whipped out her gun and pointed it at them. "Arms length people." She said before walking over to the door to her lab. "I'm turning the sprinklers on when I get inside so you better be gone by then." She slammed the door and locked it behind her.

||Akuro Spade|| ||Location; New York|| ||Company; Guards, 'Chana'|| ||OOC; Little shorter than most...|| The plane touched down in New York, waking Akuro from his quick nap. As the plane taxied into a hangar, Akuro freshened himself before he'd leave the plane. The cabin dimmed from the cover and then the aircraft came to a halt. Chana came out from the cockpit, reminding him they arrived, as well as notifying him that his shipment has arrived. Sure enough, Akuro saw one of his company cargo planes parked within the large hangar, being relieved of its cargo. Akuro scheduled beforehand to have this hangar privately for both planes. The cargo plane carried with it four small crates filled with the new assault rifle, six crates full of Yakigima's new product components, and then two large metal husks for the basis of the new product. "I would like those components put together before being shipped to the market. I want them build and on the trucks within the hour. They should be at the market within three." With these toys, Akuro was sure to have some eager buyers. The car arrived and Akuro took his leave, stepping into the back and closing the door behind him. He always stayed in the Four Seasons hotel, specifically on the top floor. Not just for the prestige, but also the beautiful view it provided as the tallest hotel in New York. It would be some time before the trucks to be loaded and the goods sent to the market, so Akuro would change and relax in the meantime. He contemplated calling Ivonne Meyr again, but it would probably be best to simply meet her at the black market instead. He knew she would take care of herself in the meantime.

Snow could feel himself growing dizzy as he sat, waiting for Leila's arrival. He looked at his computer screen and began to type in the information for the contract he would be fulfilling tomorrow, wondering what the poor lad did that could warrant death. Looking up, Snow could hear the click clack of Ana's maroon red heels, a gift from Snow a while back. Leila must be here. Intertwining his fingers together, Snow looked at the door expectantly, his eyes going back to their normal aquamarine. (( Sorry for lagging on posting, my puppy has parvo and I've been at the vet all day as well as yesterday. Just letting you guys know what's going on.. Keep her in your thoughts, please. ))

Leila walked in with Ana right behind her. She walked straight to his desk putting down her bag. "So. What have you got planned for the kids?" she asked getting down to business. "I have China off your back and a meeting at the UN. What else do you need? she told him pulling out the medicine she brought for him. "And take that. You're cough has been bugging me."

"Oh, Leila.. You worry to much." Taking the medicine from her, Snow set it on his desk and waved Ana away gently. "I've found a few homes for some of them, politicians whose wives want children but can't have one themselves. Women who want to do a good deed, save a child. Either way, I made a few phone calls, set up some meetings; I've found half of them homes. However, I need to find a place for the rest of them." Snow's head was beginning to throb as he looked at Leila, talking about the children and China. "I'm taking one in as well, a baby that was transported with the kids on accident. She's about sixteen months, was taken from the orphanage with the immigrant children." Snow was very content with his decision to bring the little princess into his life; he knew he was young, but he loved children more than he loved his job. "She won't be trained like the other children, though; I will be giving her some knowledge. She is going to be her own person, whoever she wants to be." Snow also knew that Leila was probably going to question his decision, but none the less, Snow was excited. He just wished he didn't have to wait to tell September.

The red-head raised an eyebrow at the news. She was glad he was able to find homes for half of the kids, but to take in a child? "Are you sure you're ready for such a responsibility, Snow? You're in something dangerous that not even I travel through that path." she questioned. She wanted to make sure the child would be all right. "As for the other children, I can send them to Annar. They can stay in some of the cities until they're 18. They will be schooled and given the love and care they need from the people and government." she told him. Her plane was big enough and most of the Annarens spoke English and other languages so the kids should be all right.

"I'm definitely sure on this one, Leila. In fact, I've never been so sure of something in my life. The orphanage sent a picture of her over and I couldn't bare the thought of her possibly going anywhere else." His voice was soft and as he stared at Leila, he smiled softly. "It's a great thing you're doing for those kids, dear. I appreciate it and God knows they will." Coughing, Snow looked at the medicine he had set on his desk and then up at the red head once more. "Is this in pill form or liquid? I have a hard time digesting pills.."

"If you're sure then I won't stop you." she said finally and shrugged. "It's what I do and I love it." Leila looked at him worried when he started coughing again. "It's liquid. Do you think I'm the leader in medicine technology if I can't give the same effect in every possible way?" she asked looking a little offended. "I remembered your distaste for pills. Just take the doggone thing and feel better."
