"Eep! Oh no!" a certain Dormouse yelps as she pulls out her phone from her pocket and checks the time! She was late! She'd been so busy working on her fighting stance in the gym that she forgot about the class she had wanted to attend! Quickly, she grabs all her stuff before dashing out of the gym!

Fortunately, it didn't take her long to reach the class in question. After bustling in and waving a quick apology, the Dormouse ghoul quickly takes a seat in the back before sighing in relief... "Phew... Just made it..." she says quietly to herself before looking up at what was projected on the screen.

Modern scaring did sound like quite a useful thing. Once she'd relaxed enough and settled in, Camilla raises her hand to answer the question. "Members of my specie are giant Dormice, which is usually enough on it's own. But, we can also often change our size to become bigger or smaller! My father takes it even further by using his Fear to creation a swarm of copies of himself!" She replies cheerfully once she was called upon before giving a happy tail wag! Speaking of mice... Did she spy another Dormouse!? Oh! And was that a certain Cheshire Cat boil?!

Indu's hand streaked up into the air, aided in gaining height by the straightening of her back. "Traditionally, one of the oldest low-effort high-gain methods would be through oracles - foretelling disastrous events in the future of the human or humans in question. The importance in making the potential threat vague, yet specific enough to give their imagination something to work with, imminent, omnipresent, and inescapable. Capitalizing on the human's already existing neuroses and paranoia is the key to extracting the maximum amount of fear."

It was outdated - most humans now simply didn't place the same amount of faith in mysterious hooded entities claiming to hold the truths of the universe. But there were still people who would listen, and be haunted by the messages given to them afterwards. Glancing around at her fellow students, Indu was unable to avoid continuing. "Um - but also, are you sure it's safe to be teaching techniques that were created through accidental misadventure? I mean, I could be wrong -" She clasped her hands together and glanced down in false modesty. "- but isn't there a higher margin for error, or for the technique itself to be a fluke? Wouldn't it be dangerous to rely on methods like those?"

Carlos understood the fear of the dor mouse. He did. He gave Sorrel a lidded gaze while he purred in contentment on his claimed lap.

His best friend also was a dor mouse, so, he really did understand. "Carlos does not eat students. only taste." wait that might be too scary. "Carlos means... lick. Maybe nibble but not bite except in sparring." It was too much effort to leave the lap anyways.

Sidron only received a glance before Carlos butted his head under Amy's hand again. Pettings all the pettings yes.

Then class started. He merely listened for a while, letting others do the talking. talking about the kinds of scary their families did. While Carlos was at a school for the scary, he didn't really have must interest in being scary. just hunt and sleep. Though his kind could be scary. Mostly they were just confusing. and confusing became scary. hummmm.

Oh was that Camilla? Carlos grinned at her and waved a paw at her. But he did not leave his happy little spot. It was warm and he got pettings why leave? "Good day to you Miss Camilla." they really should have another tea party.

Taika rushed into the classroom as the teacher already started teaching. "Dang it." She mumbled to herself as she found herself late for her very first field class at Amityville Academy. Which was a bit humiliating to her. After a few seconds, Taika saw a certain Dormouse named Camillia that had help her unpacked and moved into her dorm-room. Without a word, Taika walked towards an empty desk that was beside the ghoul that had helped her.

When Taika took hers sit and listen to some students replied to the question. After a while, she rose her hand to answer the question. "Our species are known as Chamaeleo Draco. If y'all didn't know, we could turn invisible. We could be totally spies if we really wanted to and learn other creeple dark secrets " She replied with a smile.

After she finished the answer the question, Taika turned towards the Dormouse ghoul."Camilla..." She said softly. "Thanks for helping me with moving my stuff in my room. I really appreciate it."

In a dark corner in the back of the classroom issued an ominous, thunderous sound.

Cady had managed to completely misread the time, and had therefore slunk into the trailer some time earlier. This was only evident by the fact that the ghoul was well into a good snooze by the time their professor began lecturing. Her snores were growing powerful enough to vibrate her whole desk.

When the projector flickered on, however, she sat bolt upright, her fur standing on end and her pupils dilating as they adjusted to the sudden lights.

"HUMANS DON'T LIKE IT WHEN YOU ASK IF YOU CAN EAT THEM AFTER THEY DIE."

She didn't understand why. It wasn't like they'd feel it.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 16, 2015 10:15 pm
When he heard the professor begin her lecture he slipped his scarephone back in his pocket and stared ahead, listening to what she had to say. He considered what example to use, drumming his pen against his pad of pair in a rhythmic tapping motion. One voice in particular startled him, the booming thunderous sound of a voice made him turn his head to glance back towards the source. Turning back around, he looked towards the front.

While some had spoken before him, when he felt the time was right, Kama spoke sitting up as he did. Pursing his lips the nekomata looked thoughtful momentarily. "For years our family made a tradition out of terrorizing those who wandered too deep into the mountains. They’d use their shapeshifting to turn into wild cats like-beasts. Some were so monstrous enough that the mere sight of one was enough to send a human running. It was that or the fire if that didn't get the message across. Either was pretty good at scaring some fool bumbling around late at night." He grinned at the mere notion, for the first time in a while he missed being back home.

It went without saying it was enough some humans even started cutting the local animals tails so they wouldn't turn into one of the demons. Spreading rumors certainly helps in a small village community and makes for a good scare...it was an endless cycle in truth. And those foolish enough to harm the wild fauna usually meant a most unfortunate end was what his dad use to tell him.

Once he had answered her question, Kama settled back in his seat. In truth he was mildly curious to hear what other methods of Fear gathering others had experienced or had success with.

Before Hayden could speak, the class had finally begun which is a relief really because there's actually class happening. Dr. Wagner stood up from her desk and begun her lecture and also shown the website upon the projector. It really does look interesting, and impressive to collect the data as well.

The question that was impose to the class was interesting to think about. San looks around as he hear the other students speaking about what sort of entity that would scare a human. And they were good answers too. They would be scare of a carnivorous rose, a fire breathing dragon (and mom, mothers are scary), snow storms, and the detail information spoken from the ghoul sounded very interesting.

He has an idea in mind, and slowly raise his hand up in hopes that it at least sounds good. "The unknown . . . what humans can't control makes them afraid. They called my kind illusionists, we're able to shape shift to what we desire and interact with them for the sake of either scaring what terrorizes them or trying to end our lust for their flesh and blood." He was serious even as he speaks, actually feeling hungry just talking about it that he lick his lower lip subtly. "When they realize their situation is out of their hand, that's what make them scare, their Fear . . . my opinion, of course."

--------------

Class had started, finally, he can have his mind focus on something else. Sorrel had glance over to see the Cheshire cat as he spoke. It just made him blink a few times, hearing how nice he is being in explaining, and the Dormouse felt bad about his reaction. "S-Sorry . . . I had a bad experience with a feline before . . ." It was a long time ago. He still has the scratch scar on his chest from it too that haunts him worse than any ghost could.

There was another Dormouse student too, and it seem that they are friends seeing how the Cheshire cat smiles and spoke to her. There was no need to answer the question seeing how the other ghoul basically answer for their kind, nodding his head along with her.

Quietly, without interrupting the class, he lifts his desk up and moves back a little closer to Amy. It's a little bit due to his nerves, but it was his own little progress.

As she watches her friend laze in the rose ghoul's lap, Camilla couldn't help but laugh a bit at how comfortable he seemed! When the Cheshire Cat boil noticed her and waved at her, she smiles and waves back before laughing a bit more! "Heh, and a good day to you to Sir Carlos!" she greets cheerfully before giving the pare a merry tailwag! Tea would have been great right about then... Oh well, maybe some other day!

The other Dormouse, who had moved away due to Carlos it seemed, was moving back after seeing her interaction with him! She could understand his caution. Camilla held no fear of cats due to being raised in a place where there were no Mouse Hunting laws; but, since coming to Amityville she had learned it was important to at least be cautious around unknown predators... "Heh, don't worry! Carlos wouldn't hurt another student for no reason!" she assures the other Dormouse confidently in a whisper.

The Dormouse ghoul was tempted to move closer to the group, but before long a certain Chamelon Dragon entered the classroom and sat next to her! "Hi Taika!" she greets her neighbor cheerfully in a quiet tone! Upon being thanked for her help, Camilla smiles modestly and nods. "Your welcome!" she chirps softly before giving the dragon ghoul a merry tail wag! Still tempted to move, she finally decides against it as class had already started and moving away from Taika might be rude. So, she simply settles into her seat before pulling out her phone and pulling up the notebook app. She'd not thought to bring her notebook with her to the gym unfortunately. Luckily, the notebook app worked just as well and in fact, worked better because it didn't try to bite her! Playfully or not, those nips still weren't pleasant...

It was a bright morning, the serpent dragon should have waken up earlier but instead he was in a deep sleep, dreaming of his past and the recent events with the Rings and Black Sands. He was awakened by the burning pain on his arm, the wound that healed left a scar behind. It hurt too much that he groaned audibly, hand grasping around his arm in white knuckles. "AJ, are you alright?" The head said worriedly.

Sweating cold, he couldn't even answer the tail head properly. He barely managed a smile, took some deep breathes and hauled himself to the infirmary for a check. The nurse informed him it was a mental induced situation and asked him to relax. He smiled and thank the nurse, feeling the pain eased after the shot. On his way back, his phone notified him for a mail from school. "Dr. Mil?" In his years at Amityville, the name was unfamiliar for the boil, thus he guessed that would be a new teacher. A few days later, he saw a large screen set up somewhere in the Creepeteria. The voice of the speaker was soft and pleasant, piqued AJ's interest for the coming class.

AJ arrived thirty minutes before the class started, unfortunately, the scar acted up again and he left to have another injection to lessen the pain. The time he returned to the classroom, it was packed with students and a lady was standing in front of the teacher desk. The white hair boil knocked on the opened door with a gentle smile, "Sorry Madam, I'm late because my arm suddenly hurts." He brought his arm forwards so she could see it wrapped in rolls of bandages. He found a seat in the middle column and sat down quietly, offering friendly smiles to his neighbours.

Soon, the class resumed and they were shown a website called SCP Foundation. While listening to the elaboration of the Doctor, he read the details on it. The tail head had brought itself upward to read the texts as well, audibly in low kid-like voice. "SCP 2107 - Diet Ghost....Within three to seven minutes of ingestion......" It nudged AJ with itself, "AJ, I wanna see this, show me the site later?" The boil didn't look at it but put his hand onto it and petted.

To warm them up, Dr. Wagner began to ask students randomly. AJ was one of who she pointed at. "A lady I knew was a creature called the Four Fiends in Chinese mythology, Qiong Qi. Despite the fierce appearance, her kind was believed to feed on human flesh. Even we all know we only need fear to sustain, she would tear the fleshes of humans and feign a desire to eat them alive. Plus, traditionally they would back their target into a corner. They would do nothing but stared at the human until they attempt to escape, then they would glomp at them to pull them back, showng them what they did was futile. The said human would create a slowly accumulated fear because of the uncertainty lingering, together with human's rich imagination, it exaggerates their fear.

Well, that was certainly...something. Sludge looked at the weird machine creating a picture on the screen, listening to the teacher speak about how humans liked to scare themselves. Which was odd, because wasn't that supposed to be his job? Humans were a strange lot, to be sure. Wearing strange clothing and everything.

And then they were supposed to give a example. Which was all well and good, but that meant they had to speak. Sludge still hadn't gotten a good grasp of words yet. This was gonna be fun.

At the very least he knew what was scary, recalling the stories from the other drones about when the queen ventured into the human world.

"Qweeennnn...ssssneak....Rrreach....Hisss" He then raised his arms and began hissing and screeching, then stopped to explain further. "Chasssee....gr....ab....teeth" He opened his mouth and pointed to said teeth. "M...mo...

Unable to explain further the concept of his second mouth, as he didn't have said appendage in this form and couldn't say the words properly, he sat back down and continued to stare at the teacher, as well as other creeple in the class. They all had some interesting answers, though Sludge had no idea what half those creatures were.

Feeling like someone was watching him, Marosa glanced around as he hunched slightly, eyes narrowing. Who in the world...

"Cearney!" Marosa grinned, giving a short wave. "Oi haven't seen ye forever! How have ye been?"

He then blinked. "You also sent me a text message that made no sense. What's this about a sister?"

Sayael raised her hand, making sure that she was sitting down so that she at least looked like she was paying attention (she was, really, despite her brother being only a few seats away from her omgosh).

"Gancanagh are known for their toxic skin, where they make others have feelings for them that weren't necessarily there before. This can possibly cause the victim to be emotionally traumatized, or frightened." Sayael's gaze slid to Marosa and Cearney now, her hands folding together as she sat properly.

Marosa frowned, glancing to the leprechaun warily. "... why is she staring at me when she said that?" Just what did Cearney know, if anything?

A bad experience? Carlos nodded trying to understand. It made sense, he had mistaken Camilla for prey at first. It was really easy to have bad experiences with a cat.

He did toss Camilla a small smile for backing up his earlier statements. She understood she was a good friend.

"Carlos knows your smell now. Carlos will not eat." he promised. "Carlos likes pettings tea and riddles." his tail flicked as he spoke in a lowered whisper. "But Carlos does understand. A friend we do not have to make. It is a bit queer for a a mouse to befriend a cat." he grinned and turned to lick his side getting his tongue on the cloths before remembering he was in student form and not at home in his dorm. Bleh clothing never tasted good. He was getting to comfortable in humanoid shape. He forgot he was even in it.

It wasn't a good thing to show up late to his very first class ever, but Junior was more than just a little bit thrown by the sudden upheaval to his life that was his new school, he'd expected things to be easy like at home where anything you wanted could be accommodated any time of day or night.

He snuck in at the back of the class, still tugging at his shirt - clothes were uncomfortable - and tried not to bee too conspicuous as other people offered their answers.

"A texting bird," Brenley replied, raising his eyebrows. "I guess if they can talk, they can text?" But who was the familiar texting? Other familiars? Minipets? Students? He filed it away as the class began, listening to their teacher discuss a human world website and present it on a screen in front of them. How was that even possible? Another thing to ponder later.

For now, he would simply answer the question. Or statement, as it was. He raised his hand and waited until he was called on to speak. "Building on the fear of a loss of control that others have spoken of, I think a creature that steals memories would also be frightening for a human."

"As for the dinner date that you were asking me when you were over the last time." Taika began to blush a bit as she looked away from the Dormouse ghoul a bit. "I-I would like to go, if you still don't mind going." She added in a soft and shy voice. Taika had a changed of heart about getting lunch with the friendly Dormouse ghoul that had helped her. Especially after all the work that Camilla did and worried about her Dionea Plossom getting hurt by the broken jar. She could at attempt to pay her back by going out to lunch with the Dormouse ghoul.

When Taika took her notebook out and began taking notes, she noticed a certain serpent dragon boil. "Why is HE doing here?" She mumbled to herself. Something about the boil named AJ really caught her attention. However, she doesn't know what it was about him that drawing her to him. Whatever it was, Taika couldn't decline it,
