[Aulus: Area 1: Not keeping Voltorb]

A sudden snarl stopped Aulus and Juno's speculation in its tracks and the pair turned to see Tortie snapping at a hovering Voltorb, which if anything looked even more aggressive than the Absol and that was saying something. Neither Juno nor Aulus moved however because, angry though it might be, they were both comfortably confident that it was no match for Tortie and indeed it was only a few moments before the round pokemon dropped to the ground and rolled away.

"And that's how we roll," Aulus commented.

Juno groaned. <>

"Don't bug me about my puns."

"Right, right," Aulus waved a hand to signal that the puns were over for now, and as he did so he started to frown again. "Another one though, what's happening here?" Perhaps they should move on to another part of the site soon? They hadn't studied the debris field yet.

[Area 2 (I wasn't going to but I can't help it, keeping the Joltik)]

Something small and yellow popped out of the meteorite and scuttled across it to the top. Alice jogged over eagerly to get a better look at the little creature; Cassie stumble-trotted after her through the sand, while Tatiana hopped off of her trainer's shoulder and fluttered over to land on the giant rock instead. The Chatot arrived first due in no small part to the fact she didn't have to struggle over unfamiliar terrain, but as she hopped closer to what she wanted to make into her mid-morning snack, the little bug chittered and sent a weak jolt of electricity smack into her beak. Thus assaulted, Tatiana stumbled back and fell off the rock, wings flapping uselessly for a moment or two before she fell into the sand with a dull, dusty fwump.

Cassie retorted with a light huff as she stopped beside the small bird, and despite her chiding one of her ribbons fluttered down to carefully wrap around her to help her back up.

"Tiana, that's rude," Alice chastised the small bird with a small frown before she turned and waggled her fingers at the little Joltik, a bright smile spreading across her face. "Aren't you adorable! Did you ride this meteorite yourself, or did you climb inside after it already landed?"

The small bug watched her warily for a moment or two, and when she didn't make a move to turn it into a snack like the Chatot had, the little creature chittered and waves its tiny arms. Alice giggled, not understanding anything it just said. "Well, you're welcome to join us if you want; we're going to check out the meteorite and then the other two areas where more of it hit," she offered as she extended her hand toward it.

After a few moments of careful consideration, the bug-type nodded its tiny head once and lifted its nose into the air - if it even had a nose - as it stepped into the outstretched hand. It then made a face at Tatiana accompanied by a high-pitched, jeering noise.

Smiling at the little bug's personality, Alice held her hand up to her shoulder to let it crawl up there - it did so quite happily - then she pulled out her phone to take a picture of the meteorite to send to her father along with a brief text. "Father went to one of the other sites, we'll meet up with him later," she explained to the trio of pokemon as she typed away.

Tatiana clacked her beak as she fluttered back up to the top of the meteorite, fixing the Joltik with a hungry, irritated stare. Cassie rolled her eyes and proceeded to trot around the giant hunk of rock in a circle to look at it. So this was the thing that had Alice and her dad all excited? Did it really fly through space before landing here?

[ Lexxie- AREA 2 ----MOVING----> AREA 3 ]

Makoto then saw a voltorb come out of nowhere and she went and shield the mareep when it attacked.

Kira jumped forward and used Shadow Claw to knock the voltorb back. He the used Roar to make the Voltorb flee.

Lexxie was waiting for them at the spot and was happy to see them...until she saw the mareep. "Oh my arceus."

Lexxie ran up to them and checked the mareep herself. It looked fine to her but...better take it to the pokemon center asap. "Good job guys," praising her two pokemon as she took the mareep in her arms and secured it with the ponyta. "Brief introductions, we have a new team member, ponyta."

Kira gave her a puzzling look which explains it all. "Since not our who team is here at the moment, we need a mon good for transportation on land. Right now ponyta here came and decided to help. So it is much appreciated."

She stroked the ponyta's nose and saw that the mareep fell asleep, a snug in the harness.

"Come on. Let's move on to the next location then we can finally go to the pokemon center to have these mons checked out."

[Zev: Area 3: Not taking grimer]

<> Amigo called from his perch on Zev's shoulder; another of the purple sludge pokemon was moving across the sand. Amigo stared for a few moments before speaking again. <> It was moving as fast as it could away from them... away from something at least.

"Humm." Zevran peered in the direction the pokemon seemed to have come from and then set off towards it, whatever had spooked it might be interesting? Of course it might also be dangerous but Zevran had always taken a rather blasé attitude towards the possibility of severe injury, of course you tried to avoid it but sometimes these things happened.

[Aulus: Area 1 ]

"Hu." Aulus stooped to pick the feather up and turned it this way and that as he racked his brains trying to recall if any large avians had white feathers in their standard colouring. Well either way it was a nice feather - Killer would enjoy killing it - and so he tucked it in beside his bottle of Grimer slime, he was a real packrat today wasn't he?

[Aulus: Moving to area 3: Not taking Pikachu]

There were some really, really unhappy pokemon around here.

After sending a note about the quickly dispatched Pikachu - a heavy swipe from one of Aperture's legs had sent it fleeing and cursing - Aulus climbed onto Red's back. "Alright let's go all of you." Juno buzzed into the air under her own power while Thanatos climbed onto Char's back and Tortie hopped up onto Aperture's head. They rose into the air and set off in the direction Aulus indicated each at their own pace, which meant that he and Red were soon far ahead of the others.

They set down not so very long after they had taken off, Aulus taking more pictures of the area as they went. There was debris scattered all around the place here, surely a good place to pick up some more samples? "I wonder if the pokemon in the area will be acting as off as they were back there," he said aloud, turning around and shielding his eyes to see how his other pokemon were getting on; Char would be next to arrive, Aperture tended to fly slowly when it had a passenger who couldn't grip onto things.

[Aulus: Area 3: Taking a mouthful of sand]

A loud buzzing noise to their left caused Aulus and Red to snap their heads around in unison; another Voltorb but this one-

"s**t!" Aulus turned and sprinted away as the thing glowed white; Red gave a shriek of alarm and followed, leaping into the air and grasping her trainer in her talons as she skimmed past.

The explosion came a few seconds later, or was it self destruct? Aulus was a bit busy pinwheeling through the air from the force of the miscellaneous 'bang' and then striking the ground and skidding a short distance forward to determine the fine detail.

He lay there for a few moments spitting sand and quietly swearing in order to get his breath and bearings back; once he had both he sat up and spat harder. He said some more rude words then, followed by; "Alright Red?"

The Pidgeot squawked and affirmative, she was ruffled and bruised from getting knocked out of the air but no worse than that.

"Ugh, good," Aulus groaned and got to his feet, dusting himself down and looking around in case there were any more of the little bastards. Once he had ascertained that there were not, at least none immediately visible, he turned back towards his approaching airborne pokemon and raised a hand to signal that he was alright.

While there were not any pokemon coming his way there was another human, one accompanied by a group of pokemon, and so Aulus turned to 'greet' the stranger with a scowl.


[Zev: Area 3: Taking Drifloon]

Things were definitely getting lively around here, explosions too?

Zevran hurried to investigate the noise - now trailed by a floating sentient balloon it appeared - and soon enough came upon a muscular man picking himself up out of the dirt. "That looked rather exciting!" he observed cheerfully, the stranger did not seem to be hurt after all... Oh dear but what a vicious expression! Was he not pleased to have company in general, or perhaps he was embarrassed? Ah the fragile male ego. "A very graceful dive and recovery I thought, ten out of ten," he grinned.
