Sev's attention was stolen by Takao from the moment he walked out, his eyes staring at the male from over his glass. He had potential to be a real looker some day; he even had those teeth that were really popular back home. He had a lady tell him once that the only thing he had wrong with him was his straight teeth, which had been the oddest thing he had ever heard. Downing the rest of his drink, Severin leaned forward on his elbows with a breath out. The raigyo's eyes flicked to Shion and Kagerou for only a moment before going back to the raven haired boy, interlocking his fingers and resting his chin on them.
Part of his mind wondered if this is how he looked to Inka-- fresh, new, child-like. Takao hadn't been ruined yet, his book was still empty.
Sev looked back down at his now empty drink and smirked a little at Shion's comment, which was quickly answered by him before Kagerou could come to her own defense. "She's not. Unless you happen to be a hopeless bleeding heart or a murderous teen." A joke at his own, and Takeda's, expense. He craned his head to look at Shion, messy bangs obscuring some of his eyes. "Or a loner." Kumotake. Or maybe Shion too, but he didn't know anything about her-- hell seconds ago he hadn't even known her name so he couldn't make assumptions. Standing up and absolutely towering over Kagerou, he reached around her left shoulder and offered his hand to shake.
"Severin. Most people just call me Sev though. And you're Shion~ The cute little cop with moxie." With a wink of one sea green eye, he rested his other arm on Kagerou's head like she was a table. "It's nice to finally meet you."
Takao looked between Shion and her two guests, unsure of what history was there. He didn't want to keep listening to their conversation since it seemed more private and he felt awkward enough. He nodded to Shion and gestured to the door. "Yeah, uh, another time sounds great. I'll, um, catch you around, then." He made it out the door, forgetting about his being shirtless until he was down the road quite a bit. He'd have to get it another time, it seemed.

SHIONxxxxxMORI A light smile snuck its way across Shion's face as she watched Takao leave. The boy wasn't exactly the most the most inconspicuous, but he made up for it in his own way... Mmm, as good looking leaving as he is approaching. With playtime officially over, Shion diverted her full attention to the two ninja who made up her current company. So, this dude already knew who she was? Sure, Shion had one hell of a reputation, but that only served to raise more questions. She'd c**k a brow in response as Sev joked about Kagerou's social life... or at least she thought it was a joke. The way the silver-haired bummer carried himself certainly gave her some doubts. "Well, I aint any of those, so I'm gonna assume our mutual friend here has somethin' up her... uh" she'd begin before being caught off guard by Sev's... advance? Nah, surely that wasn't it; he did just see her with company... right? Oh man, is that the type of reputation that was getting around? ********. Her inquisitive brow slumped into a more irate posture and her arms crossed over her chest. "Yeah, I'm Shion... and I aint little," the actual literally 5'1" shorty said to the literal almost 6' dude.
Shion answered a question, but Severin was quicker to the draw, for better and for worse, answering before Kagerou could even wing it. She snorted a short chuckle at his joke, closing her eyes and shaking her head. Resting her elbow on the table and then her head in her hand, Kagerou took the excuse of taking a slow, lengthy sip from her cup to not have to answer immediately and let Severin continue uninterrupted.
Only when Severin suddenly stood up did the eyes show any sort of alertness, darting in the direction of the sudden movement. Otherwise, both before and after the excitement, those languid scarlet eyes wandered back and forth between Shion and Severin, observing more than their leisurely pace gave away. That Severin basically encircled her with his arm, trapping Kagerou in close proximity between him and Shion, didn't bother her at all. Behind the glass held to her lips, Kagerou smiled on in interest to see the kind of reaction Shion would have. Earlier, she had found the flustered fumbling and blushing quite cute. If Severin thought the same, then this could be fun.
Then, out of the blue (or whatever color the bar's ceiling was), Kagerou got the unexpected: Severin's arm's on her head. Her wandering eyes suddenly stared forwards, blinking in surprise. Her frozen smile gave her the air of one confused, which was completely accurate for the all of one second it lasted. Slightly belated, Kagerou looked up at Severin, keeping her head still for his convenience and only rolling her scarlet eyes up to inquisitively look into his face. Her eyes narrowed above that benign smile, trying to guess what he was planning, then retreated back down. Aside from the initial surprise, it wasn't like she minded what he did. It might be funny to bite a chunk out of him just because, but that would also hurt him.
That was about when Takao left, briskly walking into the streets all but half-naked. Kagerou's eyes followed him until he left her field of vision. Once she heard the click of the door closing, confirming his leave, she set her glass down and gave a short laugh. "Look at that Sev," the head of green hair did move this time, tilting slightly to the side, not enough to shake him off but enough so that Kagerou could get a better look at Sev's face as she teased him, "You've scared him off now~". With a soft sound, the nearly empty glass of spiced rum was set down. Only a thin layer of liquid was left in the once full cup, the remnants that couldn't be downed. The vibrant green hair that framed Kagerou's face only served to highlight the red flush already in full bloom on her pale cheeks. However, despite the alcohol-induced flush on her face, Kagerou spoke with perfect sobriety, "But anyways, Sev was nice enough to take of his introductions, so..." Paying the arm that was on her head no heed, seemingly minding it no more after the initial surprise, Kagerou leaned forwards, bring her arms up onto the counter and resting her chin in the palm of her hand. Red eyes glinted mischievously as intentionally ambiguously words tumbled playfully out of Kagerou's mouth, "Would the cute cop tell us all about that other cutie who just came out of your room? Hmm?~". Shion hadn't denied the cute part, but she didn't look like she believed it either. Maybe some repetition would do the trick?

Miyuki wasn't sure mani-pedis would be for them - she was sure Thresher would feel uncomfortable with something like that. She didn't care for having her hands touched like that but the art element of it was undoubtedly enticing. However, they had been through such a stressful mission that it seemed obvious for drinks to be in order.
"What's your poison?" She asked Thresher as she sat at the bar. She didn't drink much and wasn't sure what to expect. She didn't ever have time to let go like that, and had to be sober to care for her parents. "I'll have whatever you're having, so make sure its good." She smiled.

The large woman sat down and leaned her cheek into her hand as she grinned at Miyuki. โWell then yer gonnโ be in fer a fun time, I guarantee it!โ She took a moment to look at her teammate, just looking at the artist. Unlike Thresherโs slouched position, Miyuki sat in a way that was prim and proper. It was captivating to Thresher how someone could sit like that, and willingly too. It gave off an air of general confidence that didnโt match the instinct Thresher was getting.
Miyuki seemed nervous underneath it all. The occasional fidget, the stray glance to the bar. Thresher found it particularly funny. But it must have been contagious as the shark could feel her own heart rate quicken the longer she looked at Miyuki. โNot much of a drinker, are ya sweet thing? โTender! Two Squid Brains fer me, and two fer thโ lovely lady! A whiskey on thโ rocks fer me, and one of them Tropical Parโdise things for her. Thanks!โ Thresher slid a verification across the bar, a card that was in her folder that told the bartender that they would be drinking on Tosoโs dime tonight. As she did, the woman placed the four shots before Thresher and Miyuki.
Thresher didnโt know the recipe, but she could smell the ingredients. Peach liqueur and orange liquor, with cherry syrup and a thick cream, layered together to create a nice cloud-like effect. โCheers! To a job well done!โ Thresher toasted with a shot before slamming the glass twice on the counter, before downing it in a single gulp. Then she repeated with the second.

Miyuki appreciated Thresher's unending good energy, smiling as she noted how visibly comfortable the other woman was. She blushed a little at the pet name 'sweet thing' but let it go without comment. While the sound of drinking 'squid brains' didn't sound entirely appetizing, she had not been led wrong by Thresher yet, and when the shots arrived, she did have to appreciate the way the colors played into each other. It reminded her of a painting she'd done in between training. "Cheers, to a good mission and a great team." She held up her shot, then threw it back much like Thresher did.
She shook her head a little as it went down, feeling warm in her throat as it passed, but it was actually quite good. The flavors sat on her tongue pleasantly as she tried to discern each one. She let her gaze rest on Thresher's mouth for a moment, wondering if Thresher tasted it better than she did given her shark-like senses, or if they were in a similar boat. She managed to pull her eyes away from the other woman only when Thresher downed her second shot, which Miyuki took as an opportunity to take her own again. "Wow, that was not what I expected. Am I really tasting peach and orange? It is not a combination I thought would work but... you have good taste," she confessed with a small laugh, unaware that a bit of the liquid rested on the edge of her mouth. "What encouraged you to try this drink the first time?"

The woman hummed as she tried to remember, leaning back in her chair and looking at the ceiling thoughtfully. โI think it was back when I was doinโ some mercenary work way back, anโ this group I was in went out fer drinks after a job. Oneโa thโ girls in the group surprised me with oneโa these. Now thaโ I think โbout it, ya remind me a lot of her; she even used a brush like ya too.โ
Thresher shifted her gaze down to Miyuki, who seemed to be looking at the Hoshigaki intently. Thresher, too, was once again captivated by how soft Miyukiโs face looked. The sharkgirl was still astounded by the amount of gentleness the artist radiated. It was easy for Thresher to forget the amount of power, cunning, and drive that Miyuki had when the chips were down. It was admirable to Thresher. Miyukiโs lips especially looked soft, glistening in the light of the bar, probably from a beauty product Thresher wasnโt familiar with.
Time seemed to stop for a moment as the Hoshigaki took in all of the artist, once again seeing the chakra thread linking the two together by their hearts. But if she took note of it this time, it didnโt seem to bother her. Instead Thresher leaned in close, reaching up with her thumb to gently wipe away the trace amounts of alcohol on Miyukiโs lips. Thresherโs own lips upturned into her signature smirk, showing her razor sharp teeth as she rose her eyebrows. โYa might wanna take a picture, itโll last longer~โ She teased.

Miyuki started on her Tropical Paradise drink as Thresher admitted she couldn't remember it well, laughing bubbily at the admission. Her expression turned a little more dazed as Thresher leaned in and wiped the alcohol from the corner of her mouth, the squid shot and the tropical beverage playing delightfully on her tongue. She leaned in a little closer, letting their noses touch for a moment. "We should get out of here," she said softly, eyes trailing from Thresher's eyes to her lips as Miyuki leaned back in order to push away from the bar counter.

tabThresher watched as their drinks were placed on the counter, and Miyuki tried the tropical drink that was given to her. The shark lifted her whiskey and looked at the artist over the rim of her glass. Something Thresher liked about this bar was that they served their whiskey with a particular kind of ice: instead of random cubes, it was one singular sphere of ice. She supposed to make it easier to drink without randomly spilling it on herself, since the ice wouldnโt shift randomly. But, truth be told Thresher just liked the aesthetic of it. Maybe the ice was Hyouton made, as it had little engravings in it. Every now again Thresher would glace down to Miyukiโs lips, and every time she did the Hoshigaki couldnโt help but notice how soft they looked. About how Miyukiโs mouth curled when she smiled, an expression that the artist made with her whole face.
So when Miyuki leaned in, pressing their noses together, all Thresher could pay attention to was the womanโs mouth. About how close it was, that she could feel the warmth of her alcohol laden breath against Thresherโs face. The sharkgirl reflexively parted her own lips, preparing for something, before Miyuki spoke. The woman spoke in a quiet voice, an intimate tone that made Thresherโs pulse quicken and take any trace of vocabulary from her brain. The larger woman simply nodded wordlessly, eagerly, before the two separated. Thresher, too, rose to her feet and suddenly the world beneath her thought it would be a good idea to spin violently. It was something she was used to, and she recovered after a moment by putting her hand on the counter. However, she did worry about Miyukiโs ability to stand. โโM'Ere.โ Thresher said simply, offering her back for Miyuki to climb on to be carried. โWeโre gonโ walk ya home, sweet thing.โ

Miyuki had never had so much unabashed fun in her entire life. Everything they did was designed for pleasure, not work or obligation. And when Thresher picked her up in her arms to walk home, it made Miyuki's heart race. She wrapped her arms around Thresher, sleeves preventing any abrasion against the rougher skin around the taller woman's neck. Miyuki rested her head on Thresher's chest to listen for her heartbeat. "M'kay, w' go home," she murmured, comforted by the cadence of movement that came from Thresher's stride.
The cool midnight air and the moon's gaze set the scene. It was gorgeous, and comforting, as they moved through the village. Miyuki's eyes fell on Thresher's flush face, struck by how picturesque the woman looked. Miyuki could paint this scene for the rest of her life, could lovingly shape Thresher's cheekbones with clay until her hands didn't know how to shape anything else, could dip her fingers in a sea of blue paint until they found the shade that danced across the bridge of Thresher's nose. She could carve marble until it carried the confidence of the real woman. In fact... she brought a hand up to cup Thresher's cheek, running her thumb down the woman's face and feeling with her palm the definition of Thresher's strong jawline. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
Miyuki shifted upwards and turned the taller woman's face towards her as she did so, bringing her lips to Thresher's to taste the whiskey and fruity aftermath. She pulled away just a fraction, running her thumb down the woman's face again. "Hey there," she whispered with a soft huskiness from the many drinks.

tab As Thresher once again carried Miyuki in her arms, something about it felt differently. There wasnโt the rush of needing to get to where she was going. While the two of them were clearly not in something considered a healthy state, the two shinobi werenโt in dire need of medical attention either. Just maybe a few glasses of water. The Hoshigaki wondered absently if this was to be a common occurrence; not that she minded. Miyuki was curled in a small ball as Thresher carried her, and the larger woman was careful not to grip too tightly. The artist was soft, the skin that Thresher could feel was smooth to the touch. Far be it from her to injure something of such beauty. She unconsciously opted for tracing her thumb lightly against the exposed skin of Miyukis leg.
Thresher laughed a little as the artist reached up to touch her. What she was certain was supposed to be a gentle touch ended up as a clumsy slap, just enough for Miyuki to plop her entire palm gracelessly against Threshers cheek. However before the shark could crack wise, Miyuki followed it up with a motion that was leagues more delicate. Her small, gentle hand lightly traced her fingertips down the side of Threshers face, caressing down her jawline tenderly.
It wasnโt something Thresher was experienced with. She stopped-froze really- as her eyes went wide with surprise and her already flushed face turned shades darker blue. She could hear her heartbeat racing, feeling better blood pump through her veins at a rapid pace. However, after a few strokes, Thresher tilted her face, nuzzling lightly into Miyukis hand as they started forward again.
It wasnโt until they reached their destination that Thresher realized: sheโd walked them all the way back to her own apartment! Ah well, it seemed like Miyuki was too far gone to even give directions anyway. Thresher shifted a little to unlock her apartment and open the door before Miyuki took her off guard once again.
The artist leaned up and pressed her lips against Threshers own. Miyukis mouth was warm, and her breath hot as Thresher parted her mouth to return the kiss. It was brief. It was intense. It only lasted a moment.
But it lasted enough for Thresher to know she wanted more. By the time Miyuki had gotten her words out, the Hoshigaki had already moved. Shifting the way the Ukyo was being held, the larger woman had begun to hold her up by her hips. Taking a step forward Thresher pressed Miyuki against the wall next to the door to the apartment, pressing her mouth to hers a second, passionate time.

Miyuki was pleased with the development of Thresher moving her so their hips were flush against the wall. Her hands grabbed hungrily at Thresher's face as they met again for another kiss. Her back arched against the wall as one hand held onto Thresher's shoulder for support, though she soon realized that she didn't need to, that she could go completely lax if she wanted and Thresher would never let her fall. The realization brought a gasp from her lips, and the brief intermission from kissing Thresher was so unbearable that she rectified it immediately, both hands framing the taller woman's face as she tasted the flavors still vibrant in Thresher's mouth.
Miyuki soon let her hands travel, however. She made sure to grope Thresher's biceps, appreciatively sighing her mouth as the hands continued their path. Due to the position Thresher was holding her against the wall in, the taller woman's chest and stomach were relatively easy to access. Miyuki let her hands dance against the other woman's belly, palm higher up than her fingers as she let her sideways hand move upward, feeling the muscles there. Truly, she could craft Thresher from any material in the world and it would be a masterpiece.
She nipped Thresher's bottom lip in her excitement as she allowed both of her hands to press against Thresher's chest, deft fingers feeling for the straps to undo her clothing. She squeezed her thighs around the other woman for more leverage so she could play behind Thresher's neck for the obstructing strap, though in her drunken daze, it was easy to get distracted in the other woman's hair, playing with her strands for a self-indulgent moment.

Shion answered a question, but Severin was quicker to the draw, for better and for worse, answering before Kagerou could even wing it. She snorted a short chuckle at his joke, closing her eyes and shaking her head. Resting her elbow on the table and then her head in her hand, Kagerou took the excuse of taking a slow, lengthy sip from her cup to not have to answer immediately and let Severin continue uninterrupted.
