Ratio finished coughing up the last of the blood against the tree. He wiped his mouth clean with his wrist. Does it have to be coughing up blood every time I wont let you play?

"Oh, right. I asked what the party was for," her voice remained quiet as she felt like she had just let some sort of danger out to run amok in the world.

Kazuo and Kanna went silent at her question. They were both looking down at the ground, no longer dancing, though the music was still playing sweetly in the background.

"Oh dear....That kind of party, is it."  

[Fire_Alchemist_Riya]

"What kind?" she repeated.

 

[DarkWaterMiyo]

"Well, you see...."

"It's a ball meant for me to choose someone to become my bride and eventually Empress..."

"However....Since the Empress doesn't like me much, not only am I not invited, I'm rarely allowed to see Kazuo at all. There's no chance that I'll be even a candidate since..."

"Since my Grandmother chooses all the candidates herself."

"You dont have a choice?" her voice softened and she gave Dante's hand a squeeze.

Ratio started to walk back. Got to make sure to avoid them next time.  

[DarkWaterMiyo]

"I have....a limited choice...."

"He can only choose from who the Eminance approves of. I'm out of the question completly....Because of what I am....I'm not considered acceptable..."  

[Fire_Alchemist_Riya]

"What would be acceptable?"

 

[DarkWaterMiyo]

"Someone....Anyone born a vampire...."

"You see, I was turned when I was 18...by Kazuo...."

"How are you High Ranking, then?" Dante broke in.

 

[DarkWaterMiyo]

"I've been here much more than long enough to redeem myself in that aspect...at least in everyone's eyes but the Empress's."

"I have tried countless times to try to get my Grandmother to accpet Kanna, even though she was turned, but she rufuses to listen to anyone, even my Grandfather, on this manner."

Ratio snucked inside and started to walk up the stairs towards his room. THe party should get rd of all the people.... least I can sleep easy tonight.

"I wont say anything for or against her desicion," she quieted down again.

 

[DarkWaterMiyo]

"It's not fair though.... I've proven myself to her countless times. I've done every single thing she has ever asked of me...without complaining once...."

"My Grandmother has always been stubborn and never liked turned..."

"That's still not fair...." Kanna's eyes began to fill with tears.

Kazuo hugged her and sighed. "It isn't. It's not fair at all."
