Well yes, but my password must have been pretty easy considering I have never given out my password on Gaia. I feel stupid for not having picked a better one at said time. But, I continued to play Gaia. It was nothing worth quitting over, I've been playing since 05.

I've never been scammed, although someone tried to scam me.
They sent me this chain letter saying that if you sign up for this thing giving your password and username to them, they'll load one million gold onto your account.
Obviously, I didn't fall for it. But I girl told me she did it and was awaiting her gold.
When I told her it was a scam, she was like, "Oh man..".

my favorite attempts were by bunny 01 and Auto_generator_NPA. I'm pretty sure admins wouldn't dress like like they were and that they'd also use proper grammar...

How about attempt scams?
I got a lot of those. XD
I also heard that if you reply those scammers mail, they get info from you. So it will be safe if you just report and delete.

i always thought "no. I was never scammed" but wow of course I was ;3; hmm Donation Contests, before those were banned damn, "donated" like, all my MC's.. and this SURPRISE offer you know SWEPT away with like 500k (the fuzzy penguins or seals i don't remember, what the contest was for if you won, was worth about 160k at the time) i could say that was a huge scam cuz then she was selling all the stuff she "profitted" yuck. ); i did all that to help out a friend's quest for those slippers TOTALLY was not worth it ; o;

Last summer I thought of taking my chances in lottos. I bought tons of tickets here and there, and while some of the lottos actually finished (I've never won) half of them turned out to be scams. >.>

Ozmaro One man wanted to trade me a Nightmare Scarf for all my items. I was like....NO WAY! Then, I asked him to see it. He said that it was in a giftbox, and that I would have to trust him. I knew it was a scam right when he said that, and told him that if he didnt leave, I would report him right then and there..........He left. rofl Something similar happened to me too. Someone said they were quitting Gaia and I was selling an Butterfly Mantilla in the Marketplace and they told me that they would trade it for a Nitemare Scarf since he was quitting. He had disabled his pms so I couldn't reply and he kept on giving a present box to me instead of opening it in the trade so I could see it. I just canceled the trade and reported him becuase he asked for my pass as well to "Open the box for me" he said.

I've never been scammed, but I still get my Inbox filled with sad attempts at scamming. People pretending to be mods and asking for my password, saying if I don't reply immediately I'll be banned. I just hit the "Report this PM" button and put them on my ignore list. Problem solved. ^^
Hmm... there was this one time I got a PM from a guy wanting to trade a Guitar of Demona for my Coco Kitty (at that time, the Coco's were really starting to inflate too...) and I didn't really want to depart with my Coco so I turned him down. It wasn't really a scam, cuz I could see he had the Guitar equipped, but the fact the Coco was inflating so much, so fast. I think if I would've went for it, I would have regretted it.

Never been scammed. But I saw this one scam thread in the chatterbox. The kid said that if you go to this one website and give them your Gaia username and password, they would get you gold using some crazy technique.
I kinda wish I got attempted scam mail, it's fun to report them and get them mad. mrgreen

I've never fallen for a scam. Actually, I've only ever gotten one scam PM in more than two years on Gaia. And after hanging out in the SF occasionally and hearing things from other people, I highly doubt I'd ever fall for a scam.
