"Anzu...?!" Jounouchi paled, "Ugh, no way. We're way too close as friends for it to be anything else." he mumbled to himself, putting the shirt on. It was a nice shirt, but he felt like he didn't deserve wearing it since he didn't actually win it.

Malik rolled his eyes as he continued to fumble through the clothing. He bite tightly on his lip to try to rid himself of the aching feeling that had been growing just under his waist line. "Sooo you are more interested in people who are not your close friends...?" He pulled out a black pyramid stud belt and handed it to Jounouchi. "Try this. It isn't 'too' girly or anything," he remarked mockingly.

"I... guess..." Jounouchi replied blinking as he took the belt and looked down on it, "When you've been friends for so long, it's just awkward to suddenly be more than that..." he said, putting the belt through is belt loop.

Jounouchi looked down at the shirt, "It's okay." he shrugged, "It's kind of weird since I didn't actually win it though. It's kind of small on me too."

Malik made a face of disapproval. "Fine, fine. Give it here." He demanded sticking out his hand and opening his palm. "It's not like it was a hard tournament anyway. Nobody could beat my Osiris and Revival Jam combo. Well, aside from the Pharaoh. I wouldn't have expected less from him anyway. You know... it would've been nice to actually duel you. Instead my other self got to do it. I was really looking forward to it too..."

The Egyptian paused for a moment, 'W-well..." He stuttered, searching for some sort of excuse or justification for the situation. "I..." He frowned throwing the shirt he had been holding down. "You're right Jounouchi. Except for one thing. I wanted to duel you, I did. I thought it might be... fun." He stated reluctantly, casting lavender eyes towards the floor. "So, I was a bit of a sadist. But, I never, ever would have done the unimaginable things that my other self did. I'm... I'm really sorry."

Jounouchi felt himself growing a bit guilty, "I..." he sighed, "Look, I didn't mean it like that..." he put a hand on Malik's shoulder, "Of course you would never do those terrible things that he did... some bad things happened, but you've changed now, right? Besides... it's not like we can't duel now that Battle City's over..." he smiled lightly.

Malik shrugged, "I don't think I'd feel comfortable with that anyway. Besides, I've pretty much retired from Duel Monsters. I relied so heavily on my God Cards, I'd have to rebuild my whole deck." He shook his head, "It's not worth the memories. I'm scared he'll find someway to control me again... it's better to stay out of those situations."

Jounouchi frowned, "You shouldn't let such things control your life. Those just sound like excuses to me. Are you really that weak that you let god cards and second personalities keep you from enjoying a game you like? It's not all about that epic stuff for most of us. And a true duelist would never give up because of that kind of stuff." he said proudly.

((My friend's account got stolen, so I banned that account from a couple of guilds. When you ban someone, your username appears in a PM to you, so I'm going with the "poor" look for a while in hopes that they don't take interest in my account.))
Jounouchi crossed his arms, "Well of course you aren't! If you feel the need to have a god card and a bunch of other rare cards and people you control to be able to duel, then you obviously aren't one!" he huffed, "After all, you did give up dueling right after you lost all that stuff, didn't you?" he asked angrilly. "Guess you're not as great of a duelist as I thought you were now that you've lost all that power."

"How dare you speak to me in that tone of voice...." The Egyptian retorted, his glare growing increasingly more hostile with each of Jounouchi's words. He stood up straight, his hands balling into fists. "You would be nowhere if it wasn't for Yuugi's help! At least I was dueling for purpose. What were you dueling for? The money or the fame?"
