Pump of my Heart


There's an emptiness inside my heart,
I cant think of us apart,
You came into my life & took a piece of me.
& now in my dreams you're all i can see.
Every morning, night, & every moment of every day,
You're everything to me, what else is there to say?
My heart & my soul & everything i do,
Is in some way only for you.
You were my reason to live, now i want to die,
The only thing to do is hope i survive.
Hou could you do this, when you said you loved me.
Was that just another fantacy?
Why must i feel and live this way?
The burden becomes heavier with each passing day.
The weight on my heart is growing and growing.
& the pump of my heart is slowing and slowing.
& there you are not even pretending to care.
The pain is growing to hard to bear

um yea. its just something i wrote. i dont like it that much but what do you guys think? i will post some good ones later. too lazy to type more. my friend wanted my to post this one so i did.

@snow - I'm too lazy to do a proper critique right now.. but yeah.

It's quite clichéd. I mean, the rhyming actually works (which I find amazing at any time 'cause I can't rhyme to save my life) but it's quite.. overused. Perhaps consider the same intentions and ideas but with more original imagery or vocabulary?

PLEASE TYPE THINGS OUT PROPERLY. Like capitalise Is and use 'and' instead of '&'. It's forgivable in ordinary posting but it kills my eyes in poetry..

Snow - very nice poem...I might even post one of 2 of my sucky Primary school made poems that won into competitions....
And can't you guys let off some typo going on in that poem? At least you can read it, she's not doing some serious poetry here....

@789 - In my opinion, all poetry ought to be serious, and if you are going to attempt some form of literature you ought to do it justice by at least making the effort to spell things correctly.
