Elizabeth was slightly surprised by the gradmother's words, but she was thankful that she had not been angered. She smiled at the gradmother. "It must have been fun, going to Hawaii and everything." she said with a brillant smile. She began to avert her eyes to the crowd as she tried to find the twins.

"Oh, it was. The sun, the sand, the food! It was perfect!" The grandmother sighed. "Oh, it's just a shame you won't get to go on one. With Theo's coronation tomorrow, it's going to be a while before you two will get the chance for a honeymoon."
"Edna, this is a happy day. Don't rain on their parade. There'll be plenty of time to think about those things."

Elizabeth figured that Theo and her wouldn't have the honeymoon right away, so the fact did not surprise her or bothered her. She simply smiled to the grandparents. "I am in no hurry, I am willing to wait for a bit." she said as she lifted a carmal taned hand to brush back some bangs from her face.

The grandmother smiled warmly and nodded. She opened her mouth to say something more but another couple caught their attention. She grabbed her husband's hand and dragged him towards some more politicians.
Theo peered out from behind a curtain on the other side of the room while Donovan's head popped out from behind the food table.

Elizabeth watched the grandparents walk away. She watched them for a moment before she turned on her heals and glared in Theo's dirrection. She hurried over to him, her dress fluttering behind her as she rushed over to him. She saw Donovan as well but for the moment her eyes were locked onto Theo.

Theo stepped out from behind the curtain and knew he was in trouble. "I'm sorry but I just can't handle Grandma when she's like this! Donovan can't even handle her!"

Elizabeth's face was reddening with slight anger. "I don't give a crap about Donovan, you left me because you can handle your own grandmother! I should slap you!" she said a fuming voice.

"Hey! She didn't make you dress up in a sailor suit for family photos every Summer until you were fourteen!" Donovan had had to wear a matching one. It had been beyond humiliating. Theo had never gotten over that.

Slowly Elizabeth's anger went away until all was left was a pain on guilt in her heart. She bowed her head, her bangs falling over her face. "I'm sorry, I spoke out of line." she said in a small voice.

Theo's defensiveness immediately vanished as her anger did. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her. "Hey, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you to deal with my grandparents on your own. You have every right to be angry."

Elizabeth wrapped her arms around him as well, nuzzling her face against his chest. "I don't want to be angry at you. I forgive you." she looked up and placed a butterfly kiss on his lips.

Theo smiled down at her, stroking her hair. "Yay for me." Unfortunately, they'll peace didn't last long before they were interrupted again. More politicians, questions that related to what policies he would keep, kick out or bring in. One guy even asked if he would continue playing hockey.

Elizabeth listened to the questions and answers that Theo gave them, only speaking when they need her imput of the topic. She wondered how much longer of these people was she going to have to deal with. At first she did not mind them, but now her patience for them was strinking.

Theo looked down at his wife as the politicians left only for more of them to start to approached. He leaned over and placed a kiss on her cheek. "Don't worry. Not much longer," he whispered.

Elizabeth sighed and looked up at Theo. "I hope not." she whispered back just before the other Politicians got to them. She placed a hand on her hip and turned her face toward them and gave them a gentle smile, tring to act sweet to them.
