"Research sounds simple enough, I can definitely help with that," Shizuka volunteered, relieved that their first course of action would not require them to immediately rush off into imminent danger.

"Satisfied, I'm perfectly fine," Seto told his brother as they walked back toward the waiting room. Which wasn't entirely true, and as his brother had refused to leave him even in the exam room he couldn't hide anything from Mokuba. He had a fair amount of significant cuts and bruises, the aftermath of a concussion that would require him to definitely keep an eye on his levels of consciousness for the next day or so, and a few strained joints. However he was quite likely to be fine with minimal fuss, which is all that mattered as far as Seto was concerned right now.

((I think I started watching during the beginning of Battle City, I want to say that the duel with Pandora was the first part of the series I ever watched. However at the time I was watching it as reruns on TV (and I want to say Battle City might still have only been in progress) and eventually it looped back into replaying Duelist Kingdom before progressing very far after that. I had different characters I loved most and different things I liked best about the show back when I first started in comparison to later and now. Which is probably why my arc favorite shifted. In my head I on autopilot always kind of thing DK is my favorite, but when I think about it I realize that it's definitely Battle City. That's where all my feels are now. razz ))

Seto sighed in aggravation, not keen to pick a fight with his brother but not in any mood to just feign accordance. "Mokuba don't be absurd, you are not staying with me 24/7 and I think you are aware enough of what's going on to know that not only am I not lying around in bed that's probably not the safest thing for me to be doing right now. As Yuugi has not been brought into this affair I understand that shielding you will be pointless, and I'll tell you as much as I can in due course. For now though we need to go meet up with the others and you need to accept that I am older and you are not in charge of my person," Seto snapped, glaring down at his brother with a look of fury that in the past had generally reserved for people like Jounouchi, and the rare occasion when he lost a card game.

((It airing after Pokemon is how I started watching as well, however I realized I was invested when I started having a time conflict with when it aired. I recorded Yugioh but not Pokemon to watch when I'd get home.))

Seto snorted at the audacity and ignorance of his brother's angry taunt, "That I've put myself in as of late? Sure, because I've had control over all the insane and unpredictable situations I've been thrust into these past couple of days. Mokuba you have been with me for almost none of this, you have no idea what you are talking about or how much control I've really had in any of this. I said I will explain in time, but I am not about to defend myself against your uninformed childish rants now." With that said Seto turned his back on his brother and stormed off toward the waiting room, making sure his strides were long enough that if Mokuba dared to say another word to him he'd have to do so while running after his significantly taller brother.

Seto heard Mokuba stomp off in the other direction but he decided it would be best to let him go for now. He felt awful, but distance from his brother had to be a good thing right now, the best chance of keeping the kid safe. Resolute he entered the waiting room. He leaned against the wall next to the door nonchalantly, direction the question, "so what have I missed?" to the trio gathered in the room, though locking his eyes determinedly with Jounouchi's.

"I imagine so," Seto replied calmly, managing to mask his emotional turmoil and guilt, "he'll probably need to be briefed further. I'm not sure what's been said to him while I've be off with you Yuugi but I haven't had the chance to really explain much to him."

((Figure I'll just respond to the lest vestiges of the PM here. Feeling significantly better finally, definitely hope that 2012 marks the end of my illnesses for quite awhile. Hopefully his family will prove to be a bit less intimidating in person. I was quite nervous the first time I met his parents, and I've met them twice now and I like them and feel fairly comfortable around them. Heading to America in a few more days, probably will be busy trying to pack, get work together, and socialize with people who are demanding I see them before I go even though this isn't like last year and I will be back in a few weeks. Shall possibly be a bit poof until then, though we'll see. Sometimes I just don't feel like sleeping, it's how I originally ended up active on Gaia in the first place. razz ))

"Then we can do that when he returns," Seto stated curtly, still not offering any explanation about where his brother was and why he chose not to be with them now. "I suppose after that we should decide what will be the best method to tackle this investigation."

((Oh man it has been almost a month, I am a horrible person. It has just been so chaotic these last few weeks. Was running around like crazy in the States trying to make the most of the two weeks that might be my only trip home in at least a year. In Liverpool we had no internet. All and all though things were okay. It was probably easier for both Tom and I with my family in CA than in Liverpool, but there was also a lot more space and a lot fewer people. It was nice to have a bit of family blending though. Anyhow I'll probably be busy frequently, especially over the next couple of weeks getting back into the swing of school and starting my new job, but I don't plan to vanish for a month again. I hope. xd ))

"Well we could do that," Seto began, trying very hard to not sound mocking, "but that is likely only going to take ten seconds and merit nothing. Whatever this is it seems...personal." Seto stumbled a bit over the world personal, he didn't like things that were personal. "We can divide and conquer," Seto decided, also deciding this would be a good way to control the protecting of their siblings. "We can initially work on combing the internet and other sources for information about supernatural occurrences and then split into teams, the further research group and those of us pursuing whatever leads to their sources. Depending on what we find it would probably be prudent for Jounouchi and I to investigate further on location, only the two of us really know the specifics of our own individual experiences, and that could be crucial information in the field. There might also be specific people we'd want to contact, or people you might be acquainted with or heard of Yuugi, that perhaps you'd be able to speak to. Any vehicles or resources you might require will of course be at your disposal. Mokuba can certainly take care of any financial ends if I'm not available."

Seto finished his spiel, waiting to see what further suggestions or objections might be raised before he began his own personal plans.

((I can't remember anymore what I've said about this job, but I interviewed in early December. It's as one of the project support assistants planning the annual postgraduate poster conference at UoB. So it'll look great on academic CV, give me experience with conference planning as well as a variety of other skills, and pays about £10.50 ($17) an hour. So I'm pretty excited about it. Shouldn't be too heavy a commitment this term either, around 5 hours a week, though this week was only 2 and next week will be around 7. So rough figures, shouldn't be more than 10 ever exempting the actual week of the conference in June. How are you doing though, are you still with Gamestop post the holiday season?))
