Whedaba did not get her certainty, maybe it was because he never knew any of his family members well enough to have such a link with them. He curled up next to her and said, "sjek wux re khru batobot astahii re, hak si jikahshi wux." just hoping that this was the last time that this kind of thing would happen.

Leo stopped for a moment and admired a flower. "Mother would love this." He picked it and smelled it. It had a strong beautiful scent that even Mont could smell. "They are her favorite."

whedaba nudged his sister with his head. "si filiik si tepoha coanwor gewjir hefoc vi opsola ekess, astahi jaka batobot si mi tenpiswo." he sat up and tried to look regal, beginning to get full of himself. "shar sjek si mi gethrisjir ekess qe vi opsola ekess astahi, si zklaen qe vi bensvelk winev ekess vorq svern ekess." he laughed, and went back over to his sister.
(i guess i have been acting like a father to them now that i am here.)(but if i am going to be a father to them, i must be a good figure to look up to.)

Leo's ears flicked. "Mont?" He looked around and couldn't find him. "Mont? Where are you?"

She chuckled "Kwi axun, sjek yth jahen ti related si ornla date wux" She nudged him playfully and jokingly.
("Oh yes, if we weren't related I would date you")

whedaba was shocked by her remark, but went with it. "algbo hak, sjek wux ornla court ve, hak si filiik si ornla tepoha ekess confn svern mrith vi rumagir miirik." he nudged her back, playing with her.
(well then, if you would court me, then i guess i would have to come up with a mating song.)

She didn't mean to blush but she did. "Kwi wux" She nudged him again playfully hoping he didn't probe her mind.

Whedaba decided to stop the charade there, because he liked his sister almost as much as she liked him. "shar yth trian vucot batobot coi ornla nurti shinalt. yth re related, vur tirir batobot ornla qe...." he pasued, because his heart wanted to say "fun" but his mind won over and he said, "...xuut"
(but we both know that it would never happen. we are related, and doing that would be.... wrong)

Whedaba curled his neck around hers and thrummed his throat. "coi ui kepatmasto. si itov wux kiri, danthe myvish." he started to hum a lullaby that their mother used to sing to them. he had long since forgotten the words, but he remembered the tone.

Whedaba curled his neck around hers and thrummed his throat. "coi ui kepatmasto. si itov wux kiri, danthe myvish." he started to hum a lullaby that their mother used to sing to them. he had long since forgotten the words, but he remembered the tone.

She thrummed her throat and relaxed. "Japachi jaka sia moxt ir. Sia altiuiri jaka troth wux. Jaka coi confnic ekess wer ousch siksta, vur dims wer svant di ulhar. Ssifisv jaka sia moxt ir. Ocuir dout wurunwi confn vis. Dout dask geou troth wux, wer tiamo thurkear erekess" She sang the song softly as he hummed.

with the two of them singing together, whedaba thought that Elara was his mother because she smelled so much like her now for some reason. he repeated the song and Elara followed, he felt like a hatchling again and said, "dask, petranas tir ti pok. coi kiwiegic tokeq svadrav wux sing ekess udoka." he continued to hum and he soon fell asleep against his sister.
