Let's step back from this, Hayes sent to the group. Check out the downstairs meanwhile.

'Downstairs it is then?' Tambrey began to move that way, waiting to see who was coming with.

'Downstairs it is.' Lex responded back. He was all for going somewhere else. And maybe finding the last person on the ship.

Aaand this was why Faleen didn't work with programs.
She could go out and start taking apart then engine and understand it a lot better then the process this was going through.

As they seemed to come down to one less try, Faleen arched her eyebrows and pressed her lips into thin lines, not sure how to help from there.

Keeping up with the texts as the group eventually start leading to the idea of looking downstairs.
'sounds good, lets go.'
Pushing herself up, and following after Tambrey as she lead the way.

'Copy that Elite,' Aulus replied to the group texting before stowing his 'dex and motioning Char to follow him as he left the room, heading for the stairs with Tortie beside him.

Char bobbed his head and looked up at Potato.

Kailee saw tambrey move and followed easily pushing off from the door jam. She got Hayes text and nodded. Kailee wasnt going to be first on them but she held up her flashlight to see if she could see them better.

Potato said happily, and glided over to perch on Char's shoulder again.

Z Stairs

As the group approached the stairwell, they would notice the bottom had been flooded in several inches of icy water - understandably so, given the state of the tech room - and the first to try to descend the stairs would step directly on ice that coated each step.

A heavy metal door stood closed at the bottom of the unlit stairwell, and a plaque mounted on the wall beside it read, 'SCIENCE LABS'.

Lex moved off the doorway and followed the growing group down the stairs, shining his light below. Time to get going and down the stairs.Actually... "Stay here you two," he said to his pokemon and started down.

Glit and Howlback would keep an eye on the stairs for now.

Onto Z stairs

Time for a flashlight again?
Tam' took up hers in her left hand, her right extended for the wall as she moved onto the stairs.
She was quiet, a little bit out of habit from the last few minutes, but also because she didn't know what they were about to find now.

Oh good, more ice...
Tambrey hissed as she slid, and then found herself doing a strange sort of sitting descent to the water below.
Cold!
"Frak!" She cursed, through gritted teeth, and then noticed the plaque.
It was almost enough to make her forget the uncomfortable descent she'd just had.
"Ooh!"
Her flashlight had vanished somewhere under the water, but Tambrey choose to stand and try and give the door a little push instead.

Aulus did not have a good feeling about the sign that the flashlight Paul gripped illuminated. Treading with care he managed not to slip over on the stairs though he did slither a little on one of them. Near the bottom he glanced up and around to check on the locations of the others, gripping his half extended staff in one hand. As Tam pushed at the door he came up beside her, fully ready to smack the s**t out of anything that accosted them.

Tortie bared her teeth but remained silent.

Room 1 - Science labs

The heavy door, once pushed fully open, revealed what looked to be a small, unlit lobby that was partially flooded in a few inches of water. A filing cabinet stood snug beside a computer desk, though the chair used with it had at some point fallen over backwards. A keyboard and mouse sat atop the desk, as well as a monitor that had toppled over and cracked, the cords of all three snaked down beneath the desk to plug into a computer tower whose side panel was propped up against the filing cabinet.

Past the small desk area was a hallway, though only a short section of it was immediately accessible. It seemed like various heavy machines, some with wheels, had slid out of the first room and collided together in the hallway to form a sort of barricade. Added to that was the partially collapsed ceiling, spilling debris, metal, and bits of insulation to the mix. It was almost impossible to see past the blockage.

On the small section of the hall that was accessible were a series of plaques and read, starting from top to bottom: RESEARCH, EXTRACTION, PHYSICS LAB. The bottom plaque had partially fallen, and now hung from just a corner. A fourth plaque rested upside-down in the chilled water at the foot of the wall, its words not immediately visible due to its positioning.

Hayes stayed behind for a few minutes, frowning at the computer in silence, before he turned and carefully made his way out of the well-lit room to join the others.

Z- 1

Kailee glanced to Tambrey at seeing the sign. Well at least thats something they knew. She seemed to beam a little now excited, momentarily forgetting that their was the crazy Dave on the loose. Kailee saw Tambrey slide and called out Anura. "Use Ember a bit to melt the stares... " The charmander nodded and mindful of Tam and the other people started to melt the stairs. Once satisfied they were safe she started down them scooping up Anura so she could use the tail as another light. She would follow the others in.

Once in Kailee flasher her light around. A lab... So cool. She looked toward the hall and smiled seeing the plaques... Those were familiar words to her. She moved over to them holding the flashlight for Anura to take she bent down to pick up the final plaque.

Aulus moved over to the filing cabinet and tried to open it, after having checked the nearby area for obvious lurking nets of course.
