On the second floor now, Nerida gazed around in awe. So many books, and the room was better than she imagined. She could still hear the noise, which seemed to not be on this particular floor. Looking upward she could see that whatever it was, had to be further up. But before she took the next step, proceeding to the next floor, Nerida caught sight of a rather large bookshelf, seeming to travel all the way up. "Wow...." Her eye's then followed the large bookshelf downward, which brought her eye's back to the shadowy figure. Nerida caught sight of his hand gesture, not really understanding what he was doing. All she did was tilt her head a bit to the side, in confusion, lightly shaking her head.

The girl then proceeded upwards the the next floor, and onward, until she reached the floor in which the sound emitted from. And on the outside the of the library, still pacing. "Princess..."

Nerida would come to where the entrance to the fourteenth floor ought to have been and would find it blocked by what appeared to be a shimmering black wall. The stairs continued upwards, but a low growling vibrated through the entire fourteenth floor. The atrium was out of sight now, and with it, the ghostly figure and the holdshelf.

Finally making it to the top, Nerida's path was cut short. Looking before her, she caught sight of what seemed to be a shimmering black wall. "What's this?", she wondered, placing her hand upon the wall. Her eye's traveled down the wall, seeing that the stairs indeed continued on, but she couldn't. And as she searched the wall, for a way to pass, a growl was heard. It vibrated through the wall, the staircase shaking a bit.Nerida removed her hands from the wall, a bit frightened. "What...was that", she wondered.

The wall was solid, blocking only the way into the floor. Under her hands, the wall moved slightly, almost as if it were not a wall at all, but something very large and scaly.

After the growling subsided, Nerida placed her hands back upon the wall, feeling around. It was then that she quickly removed her hands, feeling something. "It...it moved", she said to herself, watching the wall in amazement. Looking at it oddly, Nerida felt that it wasn't a wall. So inching closer to it, she placed her hands back upon it and felt around. The texture wasn't smooth, but scaly. Like a.... "Reptile..." Feeling confident in her assumption, she removed her hands from it, looking over it. "This is....so odd"

Under this second touch, the wall started to move a bit more decisively. Rather than its original, stretching motions, these seemed more like it was turning. The thing was massive though, big enough that it would still be another minute or so before any change of scenery was visible on the fourteenth floor.

Z was to burried into his books to notice or hear anything that was going on. One floor down, his search for information was not only becoming frustrating, but alittle tiresome already and he had only just come from the top floor and started his search.

Z leaned back in his chair, taking a deep breath and sighing heavily. Laying his head down on his knee as usual as he sighed he looked at the slightly dustier books on the ninty-ninth floor. Endless amounts of knowladge, and none of it was helping.

The books he had all piled up infront of himself began floating back to their original position like they had before when he was on the top floor. As he walked to the stairs to head deeper into the dangerous mid floors of the library. All the while the voices that echoed around him continued to haunt the scatitiy of his mind.

It was making Z jumpy, and alittle un-nerved. Not simply because he could get into the persons mind, but also because it seemed to. And as he decended the stairs to the ninty-eigth floor, he stopped and turned. Looking around before he started down the stairs. His eyes scanned back and forth, looking before he started down to the next level of the tower.

Z would not be able to head down too much farther. Scattered along the walls and stairs were tufts of thick fur, still warm as if they had just been shed moments before. A snuffling sound echoed slightly off of the walls of the stairway. Something was just a little farther down those stairs than he and it did not sound pleased to be awake.

[Fira the Phoenix]

It was a rather long walk but after spending just about a week in a wooden boat on the open seas, Fira enjoyed it. It got the muscles in her legs that weren’t used to moving in days, and it felt rather nice. Coming up on where the Labrary was she paused for a moment seeing rising high into the sky past the other buildings just as described to her by the people she had stopped on the street. “Holy crap,” The phoenix muttered staring up at the building unbelieving how it towered over the other buildings.

She took in a breath and once she was able to peel her eyes away from the sight she started forward again, now rather sure she would find information on where exactly in the world she was. All she had to go from was it was a place named Byako, but knew not where it exactly was.

The bird walked right up to the double doors and though it took her a moment to heaved one open and slipped into the building. Once inside she paused looking around seeing the place looked even bigger from the inside then the outside, if that was possible.

Nerida was at a loss for words, as she remained upon the staircase, watching as the unknown obstacle in front of her began to move. From the feel of it, she figured it was some kind of creature, a very large one. But how in the world did it get in here? So many things racked her brain, but the idea to leave never came. Turning around, she tried to see if she could view the shadowy figure that sat behind the front desk, but to no avail. He wasn't visible from where she stood. "And it is a long way down"

On the outside, Nerida's sea pet, the fox looking creature continue to pace, and at times would hide behind structures to avoid others. "Where is she. She's taking way too long", it thought. Suddenly a figure was sensed, approaching the library. So once again, the blue fox looking creature hid behind a nearby structure, awaiting the departure of the figure. The dark black eye's watched the unknown woman enter the library, instantly the sea creature knew of the woman's species. "A phoenix... This town hold quite the handful of races", it thought once more. It was then that the door was left cracked, after the figure had entered. So decided to, the sea creature entered the library, quickly zooming by the figure, in search of his Princess. "Where is she?"

Fira’s eyes glazed over the ornate wooden desk that sat in the center of the room, but it was lacking anyone sitting behind it. Well, the bird simply guessed she would help herself if that was the case. Slowly she observed the number of shelves and books that crowded the room and hid much of it from plain sight, though slowly her eyes were drawn down to a furry blue thing. Her eyes caught and trailed after the blue fox scurrying across the floor past her and she raised her brows her head slowly tilting to an angle. ‘Okay, sure why not,’ The phoenix thought observing the fox seeing it seemed rather determined to find something. Glancing around she made sure there was no one else around for a moment before she started to follow the fox several feet behind, rather curious now as to what the fox was doing.

The scaled wall continued to move faster and faster. After only a few minutes, the wall seemed to be getting shorter. From sight, it would be obvious that this was the base of a tail. From a second glance, it would be obvious that standing close to that tail would not be advisable soon. It appeared as if the end would be nearing soon, whipping out faster than anything Indiana Jones could ever imagine. Anyone unlucky enough to get hit by that would be in for a world of hurt.

At the front desk, the ten foot spectre glared down at the phoenix that was obviously preoccupied with watching what appeared to be discolored vermin. Were it audible, the glowing figure might have sighed.

By chance Fira glanced to the side and saw spectre and quickly stopped and straitened where she stood. First it was the building making her feel small now this ten foot thing, whereas she was only five foot five, or five foot six if she was lucky she wasn’t really sure, she knew it was somewhere round there though.

“Hi,” The phoenix smiled and asked just to make sure even though it was quite obvious with the spectre standing behind the desk, “Do you work here?”

The glowing figure nodded.
It worked here, that much was certain.
