Well... maybe if somebody survives in the maze long enough, they become a creature under NG's command, then? And as for scaling the walls, how about only NG is able to, since she's in charge down there?

Edit: NG, you wouldn't be able to sniff them out if there's oil all over the place. You could ask Sheol to get rid of it in exchange for a different method of escape prevention though. Like... living walls. o_o
