'I will, as soon as I can,' Sabine assured M. Even to think that she might not see him again was, strangely, almost painful. Sabine hesitated just for a moment longer; then she waded into the surf and began swimming to sea. Strange, how much like home it felt. It was a far cry from the fire that had burned in her mother - but somehow it felt like its counterpart. Like it was a completion, somehow. Sabine swam fast and far, knowing somewhere that she wouldn't be able to keep this up for long, but unable to stop herself anyway. Just as she thought her strength would give out in the next moment, the ship came in sight. They really weren't far off the shoreline; Sabine wondered for a moment, but kept on towards the ship as her instincts pulled her.

Koji jumped when he heard the voice. He thought it sounded like it was in his head, but he wasn't sure. He looked around, and saw a small group of people near him on the beach. It would be impossible for him to hear any of them that clearly though. He stood up, putting himself in a ready stance. He called out to the group.
"Who are you and what do you want?" He didn't have to raise his voice, when he spoke, the words tended to carry much further than a normal person's. It was why he didn't speak much.

Leeloo shivered silently. The guards had long given up on her. Just like everyone else. Her eyes were closed, and her skin was deathly pale. Nothing stopped her. She began letting go of her grasp in this world. Like hundreds of thousands of balloons that string were cut one by one. They drifted off, into the open nothingness. They bobbed upwards, one by one, ever so slowly like they had all the time in the world. Bit by bit the mass grew smaller. But slowly. Slowly and steadily.

"....we are your peers in this experiment.....why did you attack the humans?...." M asked Koji through thought. He didn't feel comfortable moving close to his fellow subject just yet. Having already examined Tomeko and her fire abilities, M wasn't particularly interested in Koji beyond finding what made him tick. M had yet to observe a more reckless act, while on the island, than the one Koji displayed.

Koji glared at the one talking to him, though he wasn't sure how. He figured some sort of telepathy. "A ******** experiment, I should of figured. What makes you think I"m interested in your little game?" Koji turned his back to the group. If this telepath or whatever he was happened to be the leader he had a face to be pissed at.
"I've lived one experiment after another as long as I can remember. What makes you think I'm interested in your stupid little game?" He flexed his hands into fists and back, trying to vent his anger.

"....Your nature answers one of my questions...." M thought out loud for all within his mind's range. Koji's response was ignorant and full of emotion. M predicted as much. ".....You did not have a choice friend....we are all apart of this 'game'.......I have come to ask that you be less offensive to the humans here......drawing additional attention to yourself could bring harm to us as well...." M asked of Koji, trying to reason with him.

"You know nothing of my nature, so don't pretend you do." Koji started to walk away from the group, but turned and looked back to them. "For someone who claims to be a friend, or at least sympathetic to the cause here, you haven't introduced yourself."
Though today had been traumatic, Koji was trying to figure out as much about this place as he could. If these people were truly part of this experiment, he could use them. Maybe even learn from them.
"I'll do my best, but its hard for me to be sympathetic to the regular humans here. After so long of being abused, treated like dirt, and all around despised, I have a bit of built up anger. What makes you act all high and mighty anyway?"
((Shouldn't assume things about people. I'm not fussing or anything, just stating. Remeber, Koji is very intelligent, but he's also very emotional.))

( M is just being M sweatdrop ) ".....I do not understand your metaphors.....you are right however...I am Subject M.....Come Koji.....the rain is beginning to become uncomfortable...." M thought to Koji. Shielding himself from the rain with his mind, he began walking back towards the human resort back to his warm room.

Koji cocked his head, more than a bit confused at this subject M. The rain did not bother him, as he could dry himself at any time, but he followed the man nonetheless. It was odd to be in a place with others facing the same trials of himself.
((I know, just funny to me))

The ship was returning to the island, around the other side, away from the pier and the resort. As Sabine got closer, she could see humans waiting on the shore, and others standing on the decks of the ship - they were darker-skinned than most she'd seen here, except... Except that first little boy. The one in the forest, who she'd assumed was native to the island. These - pirates - she finally grasped the term in her mind - were the natives, then. Interesting. Suddenly a commotion was raised on the beach, and a bullet whizzed past Sabine's ear and struck the water just behind her. She refocused on the shore; the people were all looking in her direction, and one in particular, smaller than the others, was jumping up and down, shouting and pointing. She recognized him. It was the boy. More bullets began striking the water near her, and she ducked, a sudden heat rising in her. Anger.

Tomeko felt that it would be a good idea to introduce herself to Koji. She stepped forward and smiled. "Hello. My name is Tomeko." She was slightly intrigued by him because he could create fire like her

Koji looked to the woman who had introduced herself to him. He blinked, never having to worry about introductions before. Usually he was paraded around like a damn object and everyone already knew his name. "Um, hi. I'm Koji."

(Some people haven't posted in a longer time than usual. Are people waiting on others, busy, or just dry on ideas?)

Tomeko smiled again. "Well, it's nice to meet you." She shifted a little, suddenly growing nervous.
