Kane watched the two, interest brightening the faint red glow under his hood. With his head tilted back, it was slightly visible underneath his hair. Hoshi brought a tiger in with her, so calmly. That was interesting. Even more interesting, Ryosuke didn't mind either. A bemused grin crept up his face.
...Trees rustled, barely audible, next to Ryou. Something was following him as he walked along. A flash lit in the trees, a pair of eyes, there one moment, gone the next....

Hoshi holds onto her neck, breathing a bit heavily. She quickly hold onto herself trying to fight off the involuntary chills, closing her eyes shut and her hair covering her eyes.

Ryou rushed over and got close to Hoshi, he gently put his hand on her shoulder.

Tilting his head back further, Kane stared at the woman's neck. Something... He shivered, and stood up. "Hoshi, do you require help with anything? You don't have to be afraid here, I've seen my due amount of strange things, and gruesome wounds." Kane said, his voice even and calm, even inducing trust. One of his eyes seemed dimmer than the other, the one under the bandages that covered the left side of his face. He looked towards Ryou, letting him know through body language no harm was meant.

"Ry...Ryou..." she said in a shaky voice. The tiger rushes to her and tries to find out why she been like this from the trip. Hoshi start to lean back and forth a bit in a form of temporary psychological comfort, but the inner pangs start to get more vicious.

Ryou gently held her to his chest, "Just relax, Hoshi... I'm here..." He slowly and gently started probing her mind.

"He? Hell, woman, you have every aspect of someone who's been hanged, except for being dead." Kane pondered for a moment. "If they're taking that much trouble to get you back, they wouldn't kill you in the process....Just what is that?" He asked, now having approached much closer and pointing to the black mark around her neck.

Ryou growled and then carefully wrapped a holy light around them, "I think I can keep him at bay..." he muttered calmly and soothingly.

Kane, whom was just trying to help, let out a scream of pain, baring his fangs. Instantly, he turned and fled away from the light, to hide most of the way up the stairs. He stood there, trembling, panting, and with his hands over his eyes. A low hiss constantly rose from him, barely audible. He turned his back, trying to not look at the light at all.
