There's a heck of a lot of choices from the different source books. The wiki lists all the stats what what not though, so I should be able to play any of them I like. I do have my heart set on bard, but would happily play a caster as well, as long as I'm not a healer.

Bladeling, gnoll, goblin, kobold, shade are the races I've never actually seen played.
Healers, were so easy for me to start and understand casting. It's how I've taught all my other caster newbies.
