Little Necropolis ~The RP~

Tipping his hat in a return salute, Siegfried turned his gaze over to the two young looking girls standing by the fountain. Their gazes looked blank to him, but it could have been a trick of the light. Returning his gaze back to the butler, he gave some pause to the offer. When he next spoke, it was careful and cautious. "Your reasons for waiting to live here escapes me, but it is your business not mine. All I wish is to be paid, and it whatever passes as money for this place."
As he spoke, Siegfried rolled the name of this haunted place in his mind. Little Necropolis? Sounds like a place for the dead and undead. I just hope anything here that is suppose to be dead stays that way.

Jake slowly walked along the streets of Byako in search of an abandon district. Hopefully this place would serve as a new home rather then that dark, wet cave. Unknown to him there were already people there, but he would have to learn this once he arrived. He was looking for graveyards, having heard that the district was full of them. His koto was strapped firmly to his back with a leather strap, incase he ran into any trouble. He came across a path, and looking down he spotted the outline of a fountain. Was this the entrance? Jake started down, making sure to keep an eye on things around him.

“You. . .” Emily whispered again in anwser, resting both of her hands in front of her, her trumpet case resting against her knees. Her empty gaze flickered over to Shadow, and looked away in disinterest, staring once more at the dark blue strand then up at Rogi, waiting for more information on this “master”. She didn’t particularly care for either of these people, but her destiny was here or at least for the moment. She could feel the strand squeeze her leg tighter as though it knew her treacherous thoughts, and maybe it did. Her only eye flickered over to Siegfried and she turned towards the two men, cocking her head. Is that where they were going? Why? But then her eye widened, and she wandered over to Siegfried, staring up at him, with the hint of awe. She had never seen any one like him. Even the new comer couldn’t distract her; she wanted to know why he had such a pretty “self”.

Something is coming.. The distinct sound of soft foot prints echoed throughout the area. Siegfried began to look around, but the feeling of being watched curled up his spine. Looking around quickly, he finally looked down to see one of the girls was looking at him, almost in awe. Weird as that was, he still tited his hat in respect to her. He was still waiting to see if he was going to be paid for this little search.

"I have no where else to go and nothing else better to do so I'll do it. months without food or proper shelter is something i rather not continue doing." Shadow spoke again, her tome just as emotionless as before. she then began to head in the direction of the Abandoned mansion. "you two can join me if you like or not, it makes no difference to me." she then continued on her way, the shadows seemed to travel behind her like waves.

Rogi stepped back a pace and lifted his hands in the air. "Would everyone please gather round," he announced, loud enough that all within 25 feet could hear him clearly. "Please hurry, if you will."

But you never answered if I was going to get paid or not. Siegfried looked down, using his hat to cover his sigh. As a general rule of a merc its not to take a job without getting paid. However, he didnt have a job lined up and he needed money for food. So, he leaned up against the fountain, crossed his arms, and waited for the butler to have his say.

Emily turned her head to gaze after Shadow, before looking at Siegfried once more. She stared for a minute, then turned and walked closer to Rogi. Though she would be able to find her way anyway, she didn’t want to walk uninformed.

Shadow then appeared next to Rogi with slight irritation. but then shrugged it off. ".....we're all ears, speak." she said in a slightly impatient tone.

Rogi cleared his throat and dropped his hands. his gaze landed on a boy over by the fountain, though, Rogi was unsure if he was there or not, but his gaze never left him. Even while he spoke. "My name is Rogi, servant to Dr. Esteban Muciello. It is my task to make sure the mansion is fit for living in and that there are no creatures lurking inside." His gaze remained on the boy. "I am authorized to offer you, in my Master's absence this evening, room and board and once my master returns, he will compensate you all further. Now, if you will all head on over to mansion. I will meet you at the doors shortly." He dismissed everyone with a bow and walked towards the figure wandering around. "May I help you sir?"((to jake))

Emily watched Rogi walk away in a different direction before turning towards the mansion. She rubbed her covered neck, pausing her hand as she felt the tight ribbon underneath before scratching her scaly cheek. Her gills burned, but she ignored it, her eye darting around all the buildings as she walked, having not really concerned herself before with the place, shivering as she remembered her first time there. the Dr. Esteban Muciello reminded her of something, but she couldn’t remember what. She shivered again before picking up her pace, moving silently through the deserted town.

Rubbing his uncovered eyelid, he made his way to the mansion. Grumbling all the while, he noticed that one of girls was walking the same way he was. Speeding his pace up, he fell in line behind her. She was twitching and rubbing her neck alot, but didnt notice that he was there. Clearing his throat, Siegfried tilted his hat towards her. "Maam, seeing as how I have been drafted, it would be my honor to escort you to our destination."

Emily’s trumpet case thumped against her thighs as she walked, blocking everything as she concentrated on the rhythm of the familiar sound. When she heard the man behind her, her body froze even as her head turned sharply in his direction, an uncomfortable angle, looking up at the man who had called to her. Her one eye flickered all over his form looking at the threads that both bound him and led away from him, the tinge of awe settling on the few parts of her face that could be seen. She reached one sleeve covered hand to go ghost over the awkwardly colored threads, making her look like she was simply moving her hand through the air like a crazy person. She had forgotten her self, and blinked away, truly looking at the man and cocking her head, silently asking him for a repeat of his question.

Shadow then continued on her way and kept her distance from the two in front of her. she never did get other beings and their strange politeness. As far as Shadow was concerned she didn't need such things or companionship. "growing close to someone will only hurt you in the end." she warned before walking ahead, no longer wanting to see the way the two were acting.

Rogi appeared before the boy, who looked quite lost, by the fountain. He could have sworn the youth had had black hair, but now that he saw him properly, he noticed it was indeed a soft white. "May I help you, young sir," he annunciated clearly and articulately. "I'm afraid I cannot let you wander around here unsupervised, but if you're looking for a place stay or need some work, then you are quite welcome to accompany myself and the group to the mansion and help us scout it out. What do you say?"
