I can't believe we're already halfway through this week. My goodness! It won't be long before I'm out of school if time goes by this fast.

Apparently Elizabeth Taylor has passed away today. I've never seen any of the works she's acted in; the only place I know her from is her White Diamonds commercial. None the less, may she rest in peace.

Steven Tyler

After Monday and Tuesday, even the week says WTF.

Ever since Steven said that on American Idol a few episodes back, it's been stuck in my head. xd

*looks at the Q&A questions that the American Idol contestants are asked* Hmm... I feel like answering some of these questions myself.

Question: What’s your dream song to perform?

Answer: Any Celine Dion song really. "To Love You More" is my favorite song of hers, so I guess I'll go with that one.

Question: If you could perform with any person or group, who would it be and why?

Answer: It would be fun to perform with Celtic Woman. As for person... hmm... Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry or Adam Lambert are the major ones that come to mind right now.

Question: What album would your friends be surprised you own?

Answer: I don't think there's any albums that my friends would be surprised that I own. Pretty much everything I own suits who I am and what I like to listen to.

Question: Do you have any formal singing training?

Answer: Other than the required music class I took in middle school, I don't have any formal singing training. No choir. No singing lessons. Just me and listening to music.

Question: If you could perform in any venue in the world, where would that be? Why?

Answer: I don't know about a specific venue, but I would love to perform both here at home and in the U.K. I thinking performing for familiar faces is always a great confidence booster, especially when they are enjoying it. You both get a treat out of it. And I've always wanted to travel to the U.K., so I get to travel there to perform, then it would be a dream come true. biggrin

Question: What was the first concert you attended?

Answer: Some country artist that was performing at the local country fair. Not sure exactly who it was - Dad thinks it may have been Shania Twain. *shrugs*

Question: Who is your favorite female artist and why?

Answer: Celine Dion is my favorite. I love her range of voice and how she can convey so much emotion through her song and the story being told. Plus I think she's got some of the greatest love songs out there that cover a range of occasions of love life - the unrequited aspects, the happy aspects, the heartbreak aspects, etc. It's not very often that you can find an artist that is able to perform so many great songs that cover that much of a range of love scenarios.

Question: Who is your favorite male artist and why?

Answer: Hmm... I don't really have one... but if I had to choose one I would go with Michael Jackson. He had a great sense of stage presence and he took a lot of time to ensure that everything - song and stage performance - turned out just perfectly. I love that he spent so much time caring about his music. I don't think there's very many people who would devote so much time to do the same thing.

Question: Who has influenced your personal musical style?

Answer: Many country artists - there's too many to give proper credit to. Celine Dion. The music from my childhood days - Spice Girls, NSync, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Christina Aquilera. Disney. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert. Norah Jones, Jewel, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat. Enya. Celtic Woman and Celtic Thunder. And probably even more...
