What is it called when you receive great pleasure (ie find it funny and laugh) at people getting hurt?

Well things not working out as friends again, tends to happen a LOT more frequently if either one keeps secrets from the other, lies to the other, or is the type that pulls away from all their loved ones when they get depressed and/or upset. The most important thing is to keep open and honest communication, with no secrets between you two ^_^

you know the only thing that keeps the hate and memory of the nazis alive are these WWII games that come out by the ton, and these movies that come out once in a blue moon that has a similar plot to a game based on WWII.

I guarantee you if it weren't for those two things, we'd shrug it off and say "that was a long time ago" We actually care more about WWII then WWI because WWII is made to be so much cooler.

You had tanks and subs mass produced, lots of planes, flame throwers, bazookas and bombs and then the mother of all weapons the nuke.

in WWI all you had was rifles, pistols, a grenade and mustard gas and other nerve gases.

but they weren't as mass produced as they were in WWII. in WWI you might have seen one tank for every invasion, in WWII it was 3-10. where you might have seen a small flock worth of planes in WWI, in WWII the sky could be blanketed in them.

But you're correct in the fact the stuff was also better.

The planes in WWI were mostly one person rides, and many couldn't haul troops to drop onto enemy territory. They were also hard to manage when even slightly damaged. The wings were covered with fabric, and a lot of it was wood in construction. the weapons jammed, over heated and ran out too quick and you might have been able to drop one bomb if you had the ability. ( cartoons show they could) Plus you could only take a few bullets before you went down in flames. Especially with how easy it was to clip the fuel tank, and how quick the fuel tank could run out if leaking. Then you had the risk of being shot up yourself, most of them were open cockpit, and a bullet could easily tear through one side of the plane, into you and out the other side.

Many WWII planes could haul troops, take bullets all over and still manage to stay afloat. The best pilots could even deal with one engine out with some skill. The fuel tank wasn't as paper thin, and held more so a leak wasn't as bad, and you had more time to prepare before you dropped out of the sky. WWII planes could also haul a massive amount of bombs, and a small patrol could destroy whole city blocks.

WWII was also when the Germans had the biggest submarine fleet of all the powers. Subs could be built quicker then battle ships, and had the element of surprise a good amount of the time.

Compare the two wars and the result is; wimpy wimpy wimpy. hefty hefty hefty

which is why you see WWII movies moreso than WWI.

Lol, doesn't mean he wouldn't try regardless. Maybe he thinks you're just being stubborn about it and thinks he can slowly work you over to a new way of thinking... or perhaps I'm just over analyzing (which I tend to do quite often).
