Well then, that demonstrates the power of not only Ashley, but the entire game of RE4. Proving that it, and by the transitive property, Ashley is more annoying than Steve because you'd rather put up with him AND Alfred in a game that is plausible in the RE continuity with traditional game play than you would play RE4 with its nontraditional game play and lame a** continuity screw up with the irritants of Action Hero Leon, Escort Mission Ashley, Sissy Size-stunted Salazar and Shitty Sorcerer Saddler. Damn! I love my alliterations!

Well, what if Claire had to deal with Ashley in Code Veronica, and Leon had to deal with Steve in RE4? I think I'd put up with Ashley and Alfred, rather than Steve and the Carnie Alliterations you just listed.

If that was the case, then Steve wouldn't have been an annoyance like Ashley was. He'd make no lame come-ons to Leon, much to Leon's disappointment and he'd probably end up being a less-cool-than Luis kind of character, and then you'd list two good things that came out of RE4, Luis and Steve. Then you'd be able to disown RE4 and all related characters without me giving you any flak about it.

Well, what you said was you disown RE4. So to you, this makes Ashley removed from your choices for most annoying character, ergo making the runner up-Steve-the most annoying. You are giving me so much proof that you imply Ashley as being more annoying that it inclines me to give you flak about it because you say Steve is more annoying because RE4 doesn't exist to you.

Well, look at it this way. Ashley is more annoying that Steve. This thread says, "Most Hated Resident Evil character", but I don't consider RE4 Resident Evil. So it's like... Comparing Resident Evil characters to.... Metal Gear Solid. It's like, if I said Solid Snake is more badass than Chris. But when referring to Resident Evil, Solid Snake is irrelevant.
So as far as I'm concerned, when comparing most annoying RESIDENT EVIL characters, Ashley is irrelevant.

See, as far as you are concerned. As for the rest of us, it still exists. We crucify RE4 as being the worst same name game (awesome rhyme) of the series. We don't simply disown it, with loathe it, we divulge why and then we use it as another example of Capcom's inability to leave it's own property alone in order to keep it from being a horrible thing.

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. All I'm saying is that I'm saving myself the pain of having to tolerate RE's god awful storyline.
Then there's people who are crying over how much RE5's storyline is gonna suck, but still can't wait to play it.

God, I hate Steve, Alfred, Ashley and Sherry all so much.

I can honestly say the funnest part of RE4 was randomly turning around and killing Ashley when things got boring.

Steve was just a total idiot. Who else could pronounce sorry so badly? I don't know how he survived the Rockfort incident longer than 2 seconds.

Alfred failed so horribly in every aspect that it was actually quite entertaining. I don't think anyone can fail that badly at sniping.

Sherry was just an annoying pest. It sucks that she got to escape Raccoon City. Rumor also has it she's going to be in Resident Evil 5. God I hope that's a rumor.

And to Biohazard EXTREME, Resident Evil 5 looks like Resident Evil 4 with prettier graphics and a partner that isn't worthless. I think it's gonna be bad, but I still want to play it too XD
