Do we need approval to create a character that is a teacher?

(Just asking, as my main OC appears to be in her late twenties to early thirties, so it'd be weird for me to cast her as a teen)

So we to name our abilities, but can/shouldn't we go into further detail than just what it is? By that I'm asking if perhaps a subforum should be started where we can do exactly that. "Abilities and Spells," where we have the option to start own thread to describe our powers and even list more about what they can do, such as specific spells we would like there to be explanations for (so people don't misunderstand).
For example, since my RPC can manipulate both light and shadows, it stand to reason that he can create illusions. However it should be known that these are purely visual illusions. They cannot create sound, they don't have any smells, they cannot be touched, etc.
I think it would just be a nice thing to have, and a way to keep god-modding in check somewhat better. =)

Well, I like to go into detail under the "Any battle skills/magical powers you have" section of the profile so if people read that, they'll know pretty much just what my character can do.
I don't know how others feel about the idea of a new thread though, but it seems unnecessary. o wo;;

Do not make a new thread for that. We have a profile thread with a power and ability section purposely made for you to elaborate on your character's abilities. It would be appreciated if you do in fact elaborate (strengths and flaws) on your characters powers and abilities in his or her profile--just to avoid god-modding. It does not matter if you stretch the entire page with a long profile, as long as you have all the information posted there, no one will pester you about god-modding. =)

Well I wasn't sure if it should be added to profile information or not. It was stated that if you have a picture, to use one that doesn't stretch the page. Therefore, I assumed page stretching for the profiles would be frowned upon for that. (The few examples I looked at didn't going into more elaborate details.)

I think a lot of profiles aren't quite up to par... o wo;;;
But that doesn't mean you can't dive into as much detail as you want
Some people have huge long profiles stuffed with juicy details

The profile stretching has to do with people who put in pictures that are wide the page itself get stretched. It does not have to do with length. So go ahead and write as much as you want!

I should mention that it isn't wrong to make up new techniques on the spot. Just because you didn't mention it in the profile doesn't mean your character can't learn that move. Though, if you pull an instant-kill move out of your butt, people will hate you for it.
