Davids face held a look of worry, watching Sumina go through all her changes to beat this unseen foe. Once she finished, David picked her up and carried her back to the mansion. He didn't realize that they didn't pay, but no one stopped them so it didn't matter. David set her down on the couch, and sat beside her. He continued looking at her with the same worried face. "Here." He said, slowly massaging the side of her head.

 Larusa stumbled to a halt when Masika fell to the ground. Her eye's widened when she saw Masika's aura being invaded by a dark purple she knew very well. She put her hand on Masika and looked her straight in the eyes. "You were fighting with my sister weren't you." She asked, not really looking for an answer because she already knew it. Larusa looked at Masika apologetically, hugging her. She wished her sister hadn't become such a.. a monster. She was doing these terrible things and Larusa had to stop her. Bring her back to who she use to be.

 Sumina closed her eyes when David picked her up, pressing her throbbing head against his chest. God did she have a head ache now. When they reached the mansion and David set her down on the couch, she relaxed a bit. Her eyes fluttered open as he started massaging her head, smiling at David. "I'm okay. Just a head ache." She said, but she was obviously lying. She sighed and closed her eyes, reaching out and holding one of David's hands.

 Masika Yejide ~Tempest Masika jerked away at Larusa's touch, remembering what the girl's abilities were. She nodded, still trying to get her breathing rhythms back to normal. "Yes...I was." It was somewhat fortunate she was already on the ground, otherwise she would have fallen as darkness crept across her vision and she passed out.

Sumina let go of David's hand and covered her face, letting out a sigh as she dropped her hands her her sides. "Before I discovered my mutation, I used to get chronic head aches, especially at school or crowded places. My sister and I had been close and she would take care of me when my head aches kept me from being able to do things myself." She said softly, keeping her eyes closed as she spoke. "When my powers surfaced, I started reading my parents mind's and breaking things with telekinesis on accident. They hated and feared me. It only lasted a few weeks before they kicked me out. I begged my sister to try to talk to them. Convince our parents that I wasn't some... freaky monster. She just stared at me wide eyed and didn't do anything. I can't read my sister's mind, but I could tell from her expression that she felt the same way." She said, opening her eyes for a moment and staring at the ceiling. She kept the emotion off her face, but her voice quivered with hurt and anger. "They threw me out, and I hate them for it. Now Masika says my sister is here to reconcile with me, supposedly. I think that's why she's here..." She trailed off and closed her eyes again. "I was a well taken care of girl, lived in a nice house with a good family. I was sheltered to say the least. This coming from the family that loved me so much was, heart breaking. And my sister wants to try to fix that? I won't forgive her." She spat the last sentence. Though her story wasn't one of the worst, it had been a complete shock to her. ((Not a very interesting story... But shock does some crazy things to you))

Larusa gasped and caught Masika, looking down at her worriedly. She looked around frantically, but no one was around. She didn't know what to do. She hoped that pink haired girl was near by. there was no way Larusa would be able to carry Masika.

David continued to massage Sumina, trying to keep her calm. "..." David let out a short sound while he thought of the right words to say. "Well... you don't have to forgive your parents, but your sister came all this way to reconcile with you. She's the only person in your family willing to give you a fair shake. Isn't that reason enough to see her? And wouldn't it be nice to be around someone you can't just read like an open book?" He offered before realizing, "Wait if you can read minds, you can read mine too." He realized, not remembering the mental blocks still in place from Jean.

Sumina looked at him with a small smile the looked back at the ceiling with a short laugh. "I'm not the same person I use to be. She's probably think I'm a monster now." She said with almost happiness. "No I can't read you. You have mental barriers placed in your mind to keep other telepaths out. Well the weaker ones at least." She said, closing her eyes. "I like being able to read people. I can't be surprised. Not being able to hear people's thoughts would leave me on guard all the time." She said, before she sat up abruptly when she realized what she had just done. She'd told her life's story, some of it, and her weakness to David. She was getting much to comfortable with this. Goodness she was an idiot! She let herself slip AGAIN! If Polaris was here, she would be furious with her. Sumine groaned and laid back down, covering her face with her hands.

David blinked at her groaning. She must really feel strongly about this. David was about to say something, but paused. There was... a scratching feeling at the back of his head. Not on the skin, but beneath in his brain. David froze for a moment, just like Sabertooth did, and for a split second, the mental barriers in his mind came crashing down. He was an open book. But the next second, the walls were back just a strong as ever, if not more powerful. David grabbed his head with a wuff. It wasn't... painful. But it certainly gave him a new perspective. David scratched his head slightly, then smiled. He hugged Sumina. "You don't have to be on guard all the time. You've got me."

Sing to me of lovely things. Of butterflies and angel wings. . .
She did her best to go a separate way from the others. The way she figured it, they would be harder to find if the police were looking for a group instead of wandering individuals. But her luck was not so, at least today. As she reached the end of the street and began to cross at the light, two police officers rounded the corner and pointed to her. She couldn't hear their words, but it was a clear sign of, 'that's one of them!'
"He must have described me to them," she murmured as she darted through the crowds and along another side street. Her short height and flexibility to maneuver allowed her to free run through the alleys and the small fenced yards. Not for the first time, she wondered if this was just another torment set up by Sumina. The girl really had it out for her, though Sam couldn't figure out why her and her friends had warranted such abuse. Then an idea struck her.
"Let's see how they like having the police on their doorstep for a change," she laughed humorlessly as she altered her course. This time, instead of trying to lose her pursuers, Sam made sure that she kept pace ahead of them. Allways just around the next corner. She could hear them running, and talking into walkie talkies. All the better in her opinion.
Then at last she came to her destination. Panting lightly, she looked at the tall, unmarked building. The same one she had fought Sabertooth in front of the first time. It was the same place that Sumina had lead David with her mind control. She wasn't a hundred percent sure, but her gut told her this was the brotherhood mansion. With a determined snort, she hopped back and forth along the narrow walls till she grasped the raised fire escape and climbed into the dark recesses of an open window.
. . . Then grab my hand and hold me close. Save me from this earthly dose.

Sumina blinked and looked at David quickly. She could hear his thoughts, though there weren't any at the moment. She reached out to move into his mind when the barriers came back, bouncing her back from him. She put a hand on her head for a moment as the pain passed. She jumped a little when David hugged her, but welcomed it. " Yeah I guess I don't if you around." 'But for how long are you going to be around?' She thought to herself sadly. She mentally shook her head. No she couldn't be sad about it. She needed to separate from her acting, she couldn't keep crossing the line. But the line was becoming muttled very quickly.

David put his chin on the top of Sumina's head again. It was a nice place to keep his head, very comfortable. It felt like a natural place for it to be. His eyes surveyed the room without much interest. "I'll always be around." He said assuredly, almost as if he was reading her mind. "Always by your side."
A voice entered Sams head, completely despite her telepathic immunity. The first thing I need you to do is not scream. The voice said. I will explain everything you need to know soon enough, but until then, I need you to trust me. The voice had a British accent to it.

The room Sam dropped into was small and cluttered. The ray of indirect sunlight glittered with the dust she had kicked up from her landing. She covered her mouth to stifle the cough, which was just as well because it also stifled the small yip she made when she heard the voice. Turning in a full 360 degrees, she tried to see who had spoken, but no one was there.
"Who was that?" she whispered. So far the voice had not been hostile, but that didn't mean it was someone she could trust. Normally she would have berated herself for such a cynical thought, but not in this place. Not when in the den of people who hated her almost as much as the countless mundanes outside.
. . . Then grab my hand and hold me close. Save me from this earthly dose.

Sumina blushed and relaxed into David, wondering how he knew that's what she was thinking. She thought maybe it was a boyfriend thing. She shrugged mentally before pulling away from David abruptly. "The Police are coming here... their searching for a girl with short pink hair.... That has to be Sam, but why would they come here?" She wondered, looking at David. The police were a few minutes off, but Sumina could direct them away if needed.
