[Kasark_Tamaru]

As soon as Kokoro entered the library, Kas sensed his wife, far below him. He keeps heading upward, getting closer to the light. He now came barely make out a couple of legs dangling from an open elevator door. The latter now more slick, he grips it firmly and climbs more.  

[Fira the Phoenix]

Once Fira was able to catch her break enough to hear over it she could hear a distinctive thud, thud echoing slightly through the elevator shaft. She figured it had to of been the monster still tied to the top of the shaft making some sort of noise and quickly she pulled her feet up and stood before turning and bolting down the secret passage stomping out the small fireball that lit up that part of the elevator shaft as she took off.

Still on the back of her sea creature companion, Nerida rode up the shaft on the animals back, the saliva spilling from the top. The shaft was dark, and no light was on her to use. But as her eye's were plastered upward, Nerida could see a faint light, which oddly looked like a flame. someone was up there, other than the creature who was emitting the heavy amounts of drool. Soon Nerida began to hear a lot of clanking around her, as well as below her. So having her large beast cease in floating upward, she looked over him, towards the bottom of the shaft. "Hello?....is someone there?", she called out.

Kas hears someone's voice above him, asking if someone is here, instinctively, he answers. "Yea, in the elevator shaft!" His voice echoes in the dark space. He had stopped moving when he called out, and as a result, the clank of his boots on the metal stops.

Nerida inched closer to the side of her companion, staring down the shaft, as she got a response from her recent hello. Nerida sat up and looked at her blue tailed friend. "Someone's down there." She ushered her companion to go down and he did so, slowly floating down, with her atop him. soon Nerida reached the person who responded to her, floating right beside them, atop her creature. "I didn't know anyone else was in the library", she stated. Even though it was quote dark, since she was so close to him, she could make him out a bit. "Have you come to explore the library as well?", she asked.

"Yes, I have. And do you mind if I ride along with your companion?" He looks at her, hanging onto the ladder. "its taking a while to go up, climbing the ladder."  

[Fira the Phoenix]

Once she was a little way down into the secret passage, Fira slowed to a walk and raised her hand, her open palm upright as a small flame flickered into existence allowing her to see in the secret passage finding it to be so far a very long and narrow dark hallway. Though it seemed there was an end to it a little further down as a door gradually came into view the further down she walked.

As Kokoro looked up, she noticed another figure near the other and a murmur of voices. She then recognized that it was her husband and someone else. "Hello?!" She called, hoping to get their attention.

Kas looks down, recognizing his wife, and looks back to Nerida. "Excuse me one sec." He says and promptly lets go of the latter all together and drops fast down the shaft. Before he reaches the bottom, however, he grabbed a rung and caught himself just above the open door of the first floor. He looks down to his wife, "Hello, Love." He says with a grin.

Kokoro smiles up at him, relieved to see him. Then she pauses and ponders for a moment before glancing up at her small dragon companion, Kirei. "Kirei, I'm gonna need your help to get the two of us back up this shaft. Wanna help out?" The small dragon jumped from her head and grew large enough to carry both Kokoro and Kasark while still fitting in the shaft. Kokoro smiled and jumped onto the floating dragon, standing on her as though she were surfing. Then Kokoro looked up to her husband, hoping he'd do the same.

Kasark grins at his wife and jumps down, landing on Kirei's back, as if he's surfing as well, though standing behind Kokoro. He then wraps his arms around her waist, holding her to him. "Going up. Next stop, who knows..."  

[Faulty Ambition]

The bindings holding the beast to the top of the shaft finally snapped, bits of rope fluttering down the shaft as the monster spread its arms and opened his maw in a horrific roar. Someone was having a bad day, and being tied up had done nothing for the creature's temper.  

[Kasark_Tamaru]

Kasark looks up the shaft, hearing that roar, coming from something directly above them. "What now...?" He asks, seeing strands of rope fall around him. "Anu." Hearing his name, Anu, a small lightning fast dragon, flew out of his coat. "I need you to see what got loose." As the small dragon started off, Kas called out, "Be careful, Anu."

Kokoro looked upward, alarmed at the roar. They needed to get out of there. "Kirei, get us out of this shaft." Without a sound, Kirei rose upward and found an entryway to another floor. The door was shut, however, and Kokoro then looked to Kas. "I think we'll need your help, Love."

 

[Kasark_Tamaru]

"On it." He looks at the door, his palm towards it, outstretched, and sends a volt of electricity,making the door open wide enough to allow them passage. "We have an exit now, but what of the person above us? They're closer to whatever escaped."
