"You are, quite possibly, the worst example for children the Light has ever had the misfortune to create," she informed him sternly, waving a finger at his face. "And I don't believe a word you're saying, either," she added.

"Ye be a harsh'un, me dearie." Cobain sighed in the ridiculous peasant's brouge he used for laughs.

"You. Are. A. Brat," Kiae informed him with a glare. "Don't be giving me those puppy eyes, either. You're in trouble."  

[Heavy-Metal-Hippie]

"I'm not a brat!" Cobain protested vehemetly. "What, for telling a few jokes? It could've been worse." He pointed out.

"I suppose it could have been," Kiae agreed with a sigh, shaking her head. "You couldn't have just regaled him with tales of your grand, bloody adventures?" she asked pointedly, raising an eyebrow. "Is it so hard?"

Cobain shook his head. "I don't want to be looked up to for being a murderer, Kiae." He said, suddenly somewhat sad. "Expecially not by a Tinker." He added with a chuckle. He shook his head dismissively. "No, I think I like the bad jokes and juggling better." He decided with a grin.

"You've had no adventures just getting into trouble? Like with Karem?" she asked skeptically, the eyebrow still raised. "And I don't like the bad jokes better, so if you can't think of anything else to say, just shut up and juggle," she added firmly.

"But I like the jokes..." Cobain started, then saw the look on Kiae's face. "Yes, dear." He sighed.

"Dear?" she repeated, making a face that involved wrinkling her nose as she smelled something disgusting. "I am not an old married woman," she informed him.

"Well, you boss me around like one." Cobain teased, grinning again.

"I do not!" she exclaimed, frowning at him.

"You do too." Cobain replied, poking Kiae gently in the stomach.

"I am not an old married woman, so I can't act like one," she said sourly, waving his hand away.

"Whoever said you were?" Cobain asked with a straight face. Kiae hated it when he did this, but he couldn't help himself- he was giggling on the inside.

"I hate you," she muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes in exasperation. "I'd leave you here with the Tinkers as a prisoner, but you'd corrupt them far too much," she added.
