Derrick smiled wider at that, prepared to retort only to be caught with Dimitri's lips again..the wonderful, warm, intoxicating kiss lips of his love.

A moment or so later came a loud howl and then a laughing Elryn, "Whoo! Way to go! AnImAl attraction!" he growled with a laugh, teasing them.

Derrick rolled his eyes and met Dimitri's eyes as he pulled away to grin and mutter playfully, "Maybe you could magick up a muzzle for your dear, furry cousin over there." In truth, he was amused and growing rather fond of the cousin..perhaps his cousin too..in a way.

Dimitri sighed and rolled over to his back when Elryn approached. "Where ya been, slowpoke?" he chuckled. "You have 4 legs-- you should've beaten me!" He rested back on his elbows, smiling over at his furball of a cousin.

Elryn grinned, "I walked away for a bit to give you two love dogs some privacy. But when you didn't start taking each other's clothes off, a good thing since you're on the lawn, but anyway-since you were just kissing and it wasn't very exciting anyway I figured it was a good time to congratulate the happy couple! Now then..for the wedding..who will be wearing the dress?" he asked with a doggish grin, getting excited and happy to see that his cousin was finally happy..and with such a nice fellow too, he wouldn't mind Derrick for a cousin.

Derrick groaned and blushed a bit at Elryn's comments, muttering, "Suddenly, a muzzle sounds reaaaally nice." he said as he pressed his face against Dimitri's neck and ended up kissing it with a smile.

Dimitri chuckled a bit at Elryn's wedding commentary. "Neither of us, but I know who would make for an adorable flower girl," he teased, looking directly at his cousin. When Derrick began to kiss his neck again, his eyes closed gently for a moment as he sighed contently.

Elryn scrunched his nose. A gender change was not outside of Dimitri's considerable realm of power. "Ha. Ha. Sorry cousin, you can't be the bride and the flower girl." he retorted sweetly.

Derrick paused in his kissing to chuckle at Elryn's comment and mutter, "Dork."

Dimitri chuckled. If Derrick hadn't been kissing his neck so well, Elryn would have been in for some major noogies. "Cuz...can you go check on Gia? Make sure he's alright?" He was concerned for Gia, but at the same time, he wanted some more alone time with Derrick.

Elryn blinked, "Oh! Monty!" Dimitri's apparent concern raised Elryn's concern, "Kay." he said before darting off. When he arrived..he found Giamonde sleeping..

Derrick smiled, "Well that was interesting.." he said as he nipped Dimitri's neck contentedly.

((*looks around nervously* no rabid squirrels smile ))

Dimitri smiled warmly at Derrick as the other nipped his neck. He was happier than he'd ever been before. But for some reason, an odd thought entered his mind...what was going to happen to them in the future? Dimitri didn't age...so how was that going to work? He wanted nothing more than to grow old with Derrick, and as things stood, only one of them would grow old. He would have to do some research and find out how to make himself mortal.

Derrick wrapped his arms around Dimitri, hugging the other tightly before rising. He held his hand out to help the other up with a smile. "Let's go find the Darren and Jaime, shall we?"

Dimitri smiled and took Derrick's hand. "Alright," he said, pulling himself up. When he was standing, he stole a quick kiss with a grin. "Now we can go," he chuckled.

Derrick took the other's hand, grinning back at him at the kiss. "Love you, Dim." he said as he led the other inside.

Elryn was waiting in the hallway and he seemed doggishly agitated. "Monty is sleeping, and he won't wake up!"

"Love you, too," Dimitri said. He gave Derrick's hand a gentle squeeze as they entered the house. He stopped in his tracks when Elryn spoke. "Gia..." he breathed before dashing up the stairs. When he reached the tank, he looked down at Giamonde. "Gia? Come on...wake up..."

Giamonde didn't move and Elryn whined worriedly as a pang entered Derrick's heart..it was easy enough to hate him on the surface..but the thought of his father dying..he picked up the turtle gently and set him on the bed. "Lyle..Giamonde..come on, wake up.." he said, pushing at the turtle head gently with no response.

Elryn whined a little more and Derrick felt another pang.. "Oh come on..don't die..not now you b*****d.." he said quietly. There had been a chance that maybe..Giamonde would be more like a father again..a chance..

Giamonde's body began to glow and the turtleish eyes opened..he'd mentioned something happening after he went to sleep..it was happening now. The body began to twist and writhe and it was clearly becoming human, noises of intense pain came from Giamonde who twisted on the bed as his turtleish body grew and formed skin..human features..and in the end, a pale-skinned child with soft blonde hair and sweet blue eyes was lying there. Nothing like Giamonde's original, true form, or like Lyle.

He was reborn into a new body every so often, usually after three decades..he'd gone through several bodies now.

Giamonde's blue eyes opened. He appeared to be about ten years old, small and fragile and his voice was soft, he was cherubic. "This is part of her spell..I never get to keep a body..I give up my life over and over again.." he said with a sniffle.

(I'm thinking of bringing Jaime's and Derrick's Mom in, she'll have a longtime boyfriend she likes, and still think Giamonde was an abusive p***k after going from being all loving. Would you want to play her? And then Gia and her can fall in love again >_> )

Dimitri sat on the bed next to the new Giamonde. The change had taken him aback, but he had definitely seem more odd things before. He placed his hand on Gia's shoulder. "Look at it this way, Gia. Even though you have to give up your life, sometimes that means you get a fresh start. Find a way to fix the wrongs."
