Little Necropolis ~The RP~

Siegfried watched as she pushed again, apparently wanting him out. Of what he could only assume to be the bathroom. Maybe she wants to do something to the body, maybe to get rid of it. Holding his hands up in a sign of surrender, he stepped out of the bathroom. Now he waited to see if thats as far as she wanted him to go.

Emily watched as he finally stepped out of the bathroom but her glare didn’t diminish in the slightest. She eyed the space between him and the bathroom as she finished rolling up her sleeves to her elbow. Then she eyed the door judging its moldiness and saw that as a lost cause. She held out her hand, covered in different shades of green scales and twirled her finger. Her throat and mouth hurt from talking and she simply hoped he understood. She turned back, needle poised, and began undoing the magic that had bound the bodies together. She had brushed the right side of her bangs away but the eyes still wasn’t seeable with her back to the only exit.

Siegfried got what she wanted instantly, and he was more than happy to comply. Walking to his left, he lost sight of what was going on in the doorway thus giving her the privacy she wanted. Turning around, he leaned up against the wall crossing his arms. Lowering his gaze, the hat's brim covered his face thus hiding the uneasy in his uncovered eye. Her arm was all scaly and green. What is she, and what power does that needle she carries around have? She waved it once and the thing in there melted. What have I gotten myself into now.. Lost in his thoughts, he ignored the person in the corner. Either she stays there and stays silent or talks. It made no difference.

Emily cut the threads slowly, before weaving the ones that belonged together. She couldn’t believe some one had done this and the usually unemotional girl’s hands shook. It was a little while before she stepped out of the bathroom, her hands covered, and her hair put back in a bun and her face angled down ward. The thing in the bathroom was quickly becoming multiple piles of ashes. It had been there longer than she had thought and after putting the bodies back together, they couldn’t be saved. She had no idea what had been done to them, but it wasn’t something she ever wanted to see again. She walked over to Siegfried, covered hands tightly clasped in front of her, and bowed deeply before him.

“ . . . Thank . . . you. . . ”

Siegfried shook himself awake, hearing her finally come out. He had lost track of how long she was in there, but it was awhile. Watching her bow to him and speak her thanks was heart warming, despite the uneasiness he felt about what she could be. He shook those thoughts from his head. It doesnt matter what she is, what matters is she is a little girl. With her hands covered in what looks like soot. Tilting his hat to her, he stepped slowly and looked in the bathroom. ..Scratch that, ash.
Looking back at the girl, he looked her over. Finally he spoke. "I dont know what you did in there, nor do I want to know. What I do know is that it was some kind of kindness you offer the poor fella, and thats all that counts." Grabbing the door, he replaced it over the opening tightly. Hopefully no one could take it off then. Nodding to her, he said. "Lets go somewhere else, and leave whoever that was in there peace." With that, he turned and walked to the door, not in any hurry.

Emily relaxed her stance that had been tense in fear and straightened up again, but her head was still angled down, hiding her face. She watched him put the door back, and as he started walking away, she hesitated, staring at the door. She quickly turned away again, wiping away the line of black tears she had been hiding. She rubbed the gills, black lines that were across her cheeks, with the rough wool of her sleeve, and touched the turtle neck that hide her neck.

“ . . .Amen.” she mouthed, and followed behind Siegfried.

Siegfried looked both ways in the hallway, making sure nothing would jump at them walking out. Satisfied, he walked out and began to consider their course. Should they go deeper, or try to regroup with everyone else? The butler never said the mansion was occupied, but he never said it was empty. Unsure, he looked back to the little girl. "What do you think little lady? Go further or head back the way we came?", He tilted his head a bit saying, "Come to think of it I never got your name. Im Siegfried, elemental gunslinger. And you are?"

Emily blinked up at him at the sudden question, and looked around where they stood. Her red eye flickered here and there before sadness engulfed it, and she turned, pointing to a door that was wide open showing a large ball room, obviously away from Rogi. She was about to start forward when he spoke again, telling his name and information she didn’t understand. She cocked her head, but the ache in her throat was growing so she just patted her chest and croaked out “Emily,” bowing once again to her now named companion.

Tilting his hat in a gesture of respect, Siegfried replied, "Pleasure to meet you Miss Emily." Looking to the direction she pointed, he realized to himself that she pointed away from where the butler was. What that meant he didnt know, but he was all for it. The butler was far too sneaky for his liking anyway. Walking through the open doorway, it appeared to be a ballroom of sorts. The planks were molded, as was the pillars and tables. Walking silently around, he surveyed just how run down the place was. What history does this place have, what secret, that could interest whoever the butler called master?

Emily straightened, and nodded her head in agreement to his statement before following after him into the room. She looked around, taking in the once beautiful room, and looked up towards the high ceiling where faded paint had been chipped away. She looked away, though it was hard for her, and looked once more around the room before finding what she was looking for. She went over to Siegfried silently, tugging on the sleeve of his coat to get his attention. She pointed to a large doorway that led to a double grand stair case, and took off in that direction.

Looking instantly at his sleeve, Siegfried had enough time to see Emily run off to an open doorway before giving chase. He leapt over a few holes and dodged around a few chairs before making it to the doorway. Looking at the stairs, he watched the Emily wondering what she is planning on doing.

Emily stopped before the stairs and looked behind her to see Siegfried there and pointed at the stairs. “H-human.” She whispered, before starting her way up the less destroyed looking side. She didn’t move fast, but she placed her feet with confidence, only making the slightly rotted wood groan

Siegfried reached a hand out, but pulled back at the last second. The stair way didnt look safe to him, but she seemed to have everything under control. Following her up the less destroyed side, he pulled out his right revolver, keeping it aimed at the ground. He had heard her say human before and a tentacle thing tried to strike him.
With each step the stairs groan louder, and he looked at each step hoping it would take his weight. He really didnt want to fal through the stairs, and each step made him more nervous. But he stayed the course.

Emily was stopped from leading again when she turned a critical eye to the stair as it groaned louder than it had with her. He wouldn’t die, the stairs was strong enough to hold his weight she was certain, but a step could give way, and he could injury himself. She squatted down wrapping her arms around her knees as she waited for him, he was going slower than she had, but not slow enough to show complete distrust.

This is embrassing. Taking each step one at a time, finally Siegfried threw all caution to the wind. Leaping over every other step, he landed next to Emily. Looking back, he saw that a couple of stairs he leapt from had broken under his weight. If he had been a second slower he would have fallen through. Well, that was interesting. Looking at Emily, he waved ahead of him. "After you miss."
