L looked at Kagome "Thank you for agreeing with me, Ms. Higurashi." then he looked back at Inuyasha, Maron, Haru, Chiaki, Rosuto, and Momiji. Rosuto shrugged and said "Well...I guess I'll agree with Kagome on this one...".

Shirou turned the corner, running at a speed that would shame an Olympic track star, and found the guys from ealier along with some familiar faces...and that detective Akumu nearly killed.
"Great..." Picking up a small branch from the ground, he applied his magic, turning it into a wooden sword.

InuYasha could smell Shirou before he could see him. Looking at him pick up a stick and turn it into a wooden sword InuYasha couldn't help but scoff. "Kid's gonna get himself killed if he keeps to his 'I don't kill' thing." he muttered while staring at Shirou.
Kagome sweatdropped. "Rosuto . . . that's the guy who helped us get out of jail while you were Akumu and . . . um . . . wanted to torment us . . . and he has a 'no kill' policy so I don't think that anybody's brains are in danger of being beat out. . ." She tried to explain.

L put up his hand to the Police and they all put their guns down. L walked over to the police and said "Theres no need to hurt these people...They have all been framed by others...Please go about your buisness and leave the people alone now." one said "B-but..." L looked at him and said calmly "I said to leave them alone...Please...Do not make me have to raise my voice..." they all put their guns away and left. L looked over his shoulder at the others "So...Now what do you say to allowing me into your group...?".

Shirou sighed loudly as he fell to his knees, letting his wooden sword fall to the ground. His exhaustion had caught up to him. "I've been...running...all around town with those guys on my tail..." he said between gasps for breath.

"Feh." was all InuYasha had to say about it. He glared at L but looked away quickly. This was his way of saying, "You can join but it doesn't mean I have to trust or like you."
Kagome chuckled nervously hoping that L wouldn't take offence at that. She noticed Shirou was on his knees, and went over to help him. "You feeling ok?" she asked.

"That...student council...president...knows of my...magic..." Shirou managed betweens gasps. He was exhausted. "I had to fix several equipment...then run about twenty five miles all over town to here..."

L was glaring back at Chiaki but with slite suppision. In his head he thought to himself 'Why would he be so angry and offensive of me joining...There could be the fact that I had him arrested yes...But it could also be fear of me finding out that he may be Sinbad...'.
