Kageko stopped at the gates of Kiri and looked around for Luo. the girl wondered as she looked through the mist. It was certain that Luo had reached the gates before her; she simply wasn't sure if he had waited or if he had gone on ahead. she mused quietly. Of course, she wasn't complaining. She was simply curious. She only knew the bare minimum about the politics of her own village and knew practically nothing about the politics of Kiri aside from what she'd heard in Luo's office. Yes, her lack of political knowledge was a bit of a disgrace for most chuunins, even those that were as young as her--or especially seeing how the younger ones were usually the prodigies that knew practically everything--but Kageko really didn't care all that much about national and village politics. If her village was in trouble, she'd go and help out. If her friend's village was in trouble, she'd go and help out. If Konoha was in trouble, she'd rush to its aid. If Kiri was in trouble, she'd rush to its aid. It was as simple as that to the girl... most of the time, that is. She still needed to figure out what she would do if, say, Konoha and Kiri went to war with each other. That wouldn't be a good thing, not for Kageko.

He hoped that in some capacity the girl was able to realize the dire nature of the situation, yet handle it with care and civility. The last thing Luo needed was for his apprentice to grow red with rage.

Kageko didn't know how to react. Half of her wanted to dash directly to Konoha to warn them but another half told her that she should follow Luo. A peaceful solution was much better than war and the chances of her being able to reach one were far greater if she attended the meeting at Iwa. Wasn't Kumo allied to Kiri? If they saw that Kiri was also allied to Konoha, perhaps they'd stop the attack. On the other hand, though, what if she was unable to warn her own village of an attack because of the meeting. the girl began to beat up on herself,
{Shouldn't you follow Luo?} a familiar voice spoke in her head.
Kageko was irritated at her indecision right now and wasn't in the best of moods, {How can I? Shouldn't I warn my village?}.
Kami responded, {But doesn't a part of you feel that you should follow him and try to settle this without bloodshed? I mean, if it doesn't than I'm really sorry. I knew it, I shouldn't have spoken up...,} and started to head into rant mode.
Kami's apologetic rant wasn't helping Kageko at all and she, as usual, tried to put it down. {Kami, calm down. It's not your fault. You were okay,} Kageko repeated similar sayings over and over again. Meanwhile, she tried to array her own thoughts. How would she approach the situation?
With the rant continuing within her head, Kageko quickly trotted after Luo, only slowing down to a walk after catching up to him. She didn't know what she would do yet, but it was definitely not going to be to simply stand idly at the gates.

As Luo's pace, Kageko's did as well. Slowly her eyes began to adjust to the mist once more. She was much better at seeing through it now then before, but she still needed time to adjust.

Yuns clone walked through the gate to the mist. He had remembered Luna telling him about an ancient shrine that ehr family used in the forest of the Mist. He rushes out for the shrine.
