Lydia felt her barrier taking the pressure and she expanded it, pushing Spira back a little and then created anohter one inside around her, inside of the first. She dove away from Spira as her first shield shattered and shot a beam of light up at the ceiling, making a hole just big enough for her to fly through. She was close in power to Kieran when he had first been activated here. She falpped her wings and shot up through the hole, out of the building.

Rick sighed, "Well? Anyone going after that?" He asked the hunters, "That's not even KIERAN's power level."

Lydia flew ten feet above the hole she had made and then floated there. The idea wasn't escape, it was evasion. She waited to see if anyone would follow her.

"Lydia get down here right this minute like a good little girl!" Rick yelled, "Spira stop attacking her already," He told the gaseous creature-turned-dragon.  

[Fujibayashi Shina]

Spira growled, staring down at Rick. The command took a higher note then most would, as Spira's first friend was Rick. She calmed, fading back into her previous form. She returned to a woman, focusing on healing.

Rick looked to Spira, "Are you okay?" He didn't really care, but he was still putting the act up. Now that the hostilities were gone, hopefully Lydia would come down.

Lydia just looked coldly down at Rick when he adressed her. she didn't move from where she was, that hostile creature still being there. Also, Rick's promise of safety had been broken. If she wanted to stay alive, then she would stay here, at least that was what her instincts were telling her.

Rick sighed, "Spira, you did a good job. Do you want to go somewhere to rest?" He asked.  

[Fujibayashi Shina]

Spira smiled. "Th-thank you.." She said softly, shaking her head. "N-no. I dont need to rest." She smiled, happy to please her master. She had a very misguided love for her master, not knowing the charade he was using..

"Come along then. The show's over," Rick said and tried to escort Spira out of the quarantine chambers. He called over his shoulder, "We are leaving! Be back in your cage before I get back!" He said to Lydia.  

[Fujibayashi Shina]

Spira followed lovingly behind Rick, back on her childish demeanor. She looked back to Lydia. "Be...nice." She said softly.

When they were gone, Lydia drifted back down, but not back inside. Instead, she landed on the roof, next to the hole she had made. She sat down and then laid back, staring up at the sky. She couldn't remember ever seeing it before. Her wings disappeared as she drifted in between her usual demeanor and the almost weapon-like mind she had just had.

The experiments all wandered back into their cages and the lockdown ended, "Back to your cage Lydia," Rick called again and left the quarantine chambers. Rick walked down the hallway with Spira in tow, back towards his lab. He had a bloody sword in his hand and it was pulsing red magic.

Spira picked up the large blade she left as they passed it, putting it back at her hip. She smiled, following along silently like a loyal child.

Lydia barely registered Rick's command. She slowly drifted towards a light sleep. She had used more magic in the past few minutes than she had used in the past 3 months. Her body was tired.
